A little over an hour later I got another notification that it has been marked "returned to sender". I don't live in a gated community, there's no code required to enter anything, and my house is 20 years old so it's not like I'm in a new subdivision or anything. I got off work at 4 PM and went straight to the post office to see what happened. The lady at the desk had me write down my tracking number so she can see which carrier it's on. She informed me it hasn't arrived back at the post office yet, but they should be returning around 5 PM so she'll give me a call when they're back to come pick it up. At 5 PM I get a call from a woman named Patricia Armstrong. She said my package has arrived back at the post office and if I wanted to come pick it up from there then I have to pay a $16 fee. That's double what I paid for shipping originally. So I asked her why my package could not be delivered, and why is there an additional fee for having to use my own gas and vehicle to pick up a package that I already paid for shipping on? I was given no reasoning for their failure to deliver my package, and she said that's the redirection fee if I want to pick it up myself, otherwise they will return it back to sender and I can replace my order and have the new one redelivered. I'm still confused why my order wasn't delivered. I have double checked my address and everything on the order invoice and everything was correct.

I have always loved the staff here because they have been overly helpful and there was never a super long line. I had to do a last minute passport renewal and I had such great service here, I was really impressed. The space was huge and the employee that helped me was extremely friendly. I was completely clueless about the passport renewal process and the staff walked me through it (without making me feel dumb about it :)). Even when I had to wait in line for a while, I didn't mind because every customer left the building completely satisfied. There have been many times I have come in there in a hurry to get a package out. If I needed a bit of tape or needed some extra help to get a package out, they were always so courteous. There was only one time that they screwed up a bit with a money order. Unfortunately, the amount of the money order did not print on the money order! So, I was unable to give it to the recipient without that amount on there. Luckily I had the receipt, but it would have been better if I had brought it in that same day to get the problem fixed. Of course the whole situation would have been easier if I brought it to their attention immediately. Oh well, thankfully they were able to fix it!
