When i first moved to the zip code for this post office, it was terrible. Def a one star. They would never deliver packages even though i have a mail box and package area in the lobby. They also refused to come up to bring it to the door. I always had to go pick up packages at the post office and they were always so rude. Over the last 2 years, they have def improved tremendously. I haven't been to that post office in about 2 years. They always leave the packages in the mail box or bring it to the door if it's too big, tracking is always accurate. This is the worst ,I've ever had to deal with. It has been too many times my package was supposed to be delivered, and they lied and said there's no secure place to leave my package, when in there is a secure box inside of my building. A couple of days ago, I received a message stating that they to deliver my package, but due to hazardous weather, what hazardous a couple of days ago we had please tell me. This is fastest PO in the Bronx. They a nice and listen to your questions well, at least in my situation, that's what happens. There are never any lines as compared to other Bronz PO I've been to. And their supplies are always stacked. Clean and bright as well. read more

The office on 1132 southern Blvd has unprofessional and lazy staff. Today 11/1/22 I went to pick up a package; the pick up window there was no one, so I line up on another window. The young lady told I was in the wrong window. I explained to her that there was no one there but she said go there any way until someone gets to the window. I did so. Few seconds later I heard the lady saying to another employee what I said and they were smiling in a implicit way. The other lady came to the window and asked me what I needed. I handed her the usps note and my ID. She left to look for the package. When she came back instead give me the package she left the package next to the first lady desk and they looked at each other and laughed. The employee walked around for about 5 minutes and then she came with my package and gave it to me but not before they look up each other again and laughed. read more

Although at times the customer forgets they are only the messenger and party who does the delivery for such packages. Packages aren't being delivered, and no pickup slips are being left, but when tracking package, shows they attempted 1 time a week ago to deliver package... There's always an issue with delivery in this post office. They will just leave package at post office, and say they couldn't deliver it when certain workers don't want to do their routes and I and other neighbors have address this at post office, and nothing has been done to correct problems. The post office offers (lack of) the WORSE services ever. More times than most, there is only 1 teller to help assist customers at their slowest pace. The line literally makes its way out of the door. I've personally stood on line for approximately an hour waiting to be seen. Also, The mail carrier DO NOT MAKE ANY ATTEMPTS to bring packages to residential apartments even when someone is at the home to receive. They will enter the building with their master key and leave a slip in the mailbox stating "no secure location available" LIES!!! They NEVER made an initial attempt. Well, there's NO 0 on here so I had to rate a ONE... This is the worst POST OFFICE ever. First off, the drivers that are to drop packages off never do. I work during the week, so the only time I have to go pick up my package, or packages is on Saturdays. The line is all the way in the back of the post office and swings around. I stood on line this past Saturday 3/23/19 for 3 hours to get my package. It's just ridiculous. There needs to be change in this place,and with the drivers, because they are not doing their job. If I could put 0 stars I would. They claim to make an attempt at making deliveries but they don't. I don't get my things unless I run up on the van or stand in line for HOURS with little to no help. One time a lady clocked out in the middle of trying to find my package and the other employees let other customers ahead of me because they were unaware that she had left without helping me all the way and getting me my package. Quite possibly the worst post office in America, barnone. Disorganized, understaffed, poorly staffed, and the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. You're lucky if your visit is less than ten minutes. Often times the wait lasts from two to two and a half hours. The longest I've ever waited there was four hours and the line stretched around the entire office. They take forever to retrieve your packages and make it impossible get in and get out. This postal office is the worst, I wish I could give a zero star!! It's always packed and only have a few workers. There's always someone at my dad's house and The delivery people never deliver my packages, ring the doorbell of the house nor leave a notice and many people have the same problem they don't leave a notice to go and pick the package up nor knock on their doors. When I go to look for the package at this post office they never want to give me the package no matter if the package has my name on, because my ID is from another State. My review. They should call this place the BLACK HOLE, because that Is exactly where your package is going when it gets to this place. Probably the worst post office in the world. I have seen better delivery services in third world countries. Your package will never ever get delivered and please don't ever dare to waste 3 hours of your life on a line just to be told that they can't find your package. Oh no this isn't a one time thing. This will happen every single time with every single package. I have never had a good experience from this post office. I have written many claims and have made many corporate phones calls and I guess after the sh*t finally rolls downhill it finally gets to the BLACKHOLE and my package is somehow found and delivered. By the time you ever get your package, you probably could of booked a flight to wherever your package came from and came back to nyc and still have time for dinner before the blackhole decides to finally hand over the package. This place is horrendous, should never exist. Should be sent off the edge of the planet and replaced with something else that can get the job done. This place lacks supervision so I suggest make friends with a higher up in the USPS and make phone calls because you alone will never get anything done at the blackhole. Also make sure if you ever order through fedex make sure they never ever ever hand your package off to this place. Pay the extra 20-30 bucks. Get the 1 Or 2 day delivery. Horrendous! Waited in line 3 hours and told my certified letter was not there, the carrier probably still has it! My letter arrived at this post office on December 11th and I still have not received it. I am at a loss of words to describe the service and attitude of the workers. Where is the postmaster??
