Today I went in to get a moving form (because the tech support online could not figure my issue with submitting the move online), and they told me I had to go into an office and submit it manually (what?). So when I went in, the office was closed for lunch but the woman teller was closing the door and was kind enough to go get a form for me and explain how to submit it. I didn't realize it was closed for lunch (1pm-1:30pm) but she still helped me, was very pleasant, and she was 15 minutes into her lunch! Thanks to all of the tellers at this location! Cheryl, the main postmistress, is really sweet. She has traveled all over the world and has amazing stories. Hours and size are not as extensive as other USPS locations nearby, but this PO is appropriate to the section of town it serves. (Gradyville used to be all farm, now it's becoming developed.) Note hours, because they close for lunch. Handy access off of Middletown Rd / Route 352, with a Sunoco nextdoor, and a neat antiques store across the street.

This is a postal annex, not a full Post Office. There is no retail window to buy stamps, pay for package shipping, or do other services. You can come here and drop letters in a drop box or pick up mail at a PO Box. You can also leave prepaid packages with an employee at the window. But it's confusing how to ask for an employee--there is a doorbell sort of half outside the lobby to ring. The hours are also unusual, like closing at 4:15 (rather than on an hour of half hour). There is also only a mailbox inside the building, not outside. So if you arrive after business hours, you can't even leave a letter elsewhere on the premises. This is unlike any other post office I've ever been to--every other post office or annex at least has a collection box for letters outside. (If one is here, it is hidden.) The employees whom I've interacted with here have been friendly and helpful. But I'd recommend going elsewhere if you're a customer looking to drop prepaid mail.

A prime example of a disastrous Post Office & waste of tax payer money…read more The postal service employees responsible for delivering my packages and mail to our home claimed they delivered a package containing a Christmas gift this past Sunday, but of course our Nest Camera shows nobody even came to our front door when the tracking info stated this to be the case. I filed a claim online with USPS and ended up receiving a call from Debbie at this Post Office. Debbie said she would send someone out to check if it was delivered to the wrong address or mailbox in my neighborhood. Maybe an hour later, Debbie calls back and swears her driver was "in front our our home on satellite" to which I assume her that absolutely no one delivered anything to our front door as we have Nest Cameras to monitor and record our residence. Debbie basically sounded like she didn't believe me or lost interest and said if I want to file a claim I should do it online and that there's nothing else she will do at this point. Clearly, someone is the liar here and camera footage from an entire day doesn't lie. Absolutely disgraceful and zero accountability.

I use to think this post office was inside the Firehouse because it has no other signage. Inside they have three separate stations. One for....well I'm not really sure but you can stand there and someone will come to that desk (for lack of a better word) and assist you. Then there is the regular line where the post office people are and then a third area for passports. I needed to mail something certified. I've never done it before but I knew it required a green slip. I did not see them at the line so I stepped forward and told the lady. She handed it to me and made me go away to fill it out. It wasn't until I was leaving that I noticed all the different post office slips on the other side of the line in which I had stood. So my sole purpose of this review is to let you know that any paperwork that needs to be filled out is at the counter on the opposite side of the very line you are standing in. Confusing review.
