Today I received an order from Amazon. 2 of the 3 pieces were as ordered, but the third was way off…read morebase. And I wanted to return it ASAP. So I looked up my order, printed a label and searched for a shipping terminal. UPS came up right away and wasn't far from my house. So I packed the product, and went there. The hours are now 3 to 6, and I was early. At 3 a young man came out, opened up and 5 of us went in. The young man took my package, sealed it, taped the label, asked if I wanted a receipt, I did, he printed it, I was done. In and out in 5 minutes. Now that's quality service. :)

I ordered a package to be delivered, and the estimated delivery time was 9 pm. Now I work 7-3 and…read moream not in a area where I feel comfortable to leave my package. I was under the imoression that I would be home in time to receive this package, but they attempted delivery at 2:30pm. I had been tracking the package all day and was never given a indication that it would be delivered any earlier than 9 pm. I was told via customer service that they would to same day but the store said I wouldn't be able to do anything but hope they deliver it after 3 the next day or go pick it up after work. I feel that I wasn't helped at all and I'm the one being inconvenienced due to lack of information on UPS end.

But...sometimes this is the place where some retailers want you to use as your spot to return merchandise. Like UPS Store for Amazon and the like. Now I had to come here to do a return as the company uses "Happy Returns" This is a long and narrow store, they have a few self serve kiosks for printing/copying and the like. A few people were in here to ship things and ask questions. So since I really was not sure where to stand, I stood behind a customer and someone asked "can I help you?" I told her I needed to do a return and I showed her the QR Code and it did not work, tried it again no go, even typed it in and she even logged out of the system. Finally she asks someone is there an issue with Happy Returns and they said yes. So guess what I have to come back, with the package and my QRcode from my email on my phone. My only other option for a return was Staples and dear reader I live in the city. If I'm going out that way I had best have other things to do in Henrietta. I'll have to come back to do the return and it's in a convenient spot in the strip mall of 12 Corners and if I want a piece of pizza at Joe Brooklyn or Starbucks or a Bagelland bagel Staff is helpful enough but they just seem kind of annoyed it is what it is. Went in today to mail a certified letter with tracking to the Philippines. Had a very long wait in…read moreline as a customer in front of me was having some issue sending delaying the line for up to 20 minutes, the girl trying to help her was totally "hung up," obviously appearing like she did not want to be working at all that day. But could tell she was at least trying her best. Also was able to observe two customers arguing, ready to get into a fist fight, so at least I had a little entertainment to help ease me the extra-long wait! But i have to admit that the long wait was becoming unacceptable. So, I needed to text my supervisor explaining the situation, and why it was taking me so long. Even snapped a picture so my boss could see the fiasco happening before my very eyes! Until finally, a very professional woman in her 30s came to help me. I appreciated how very observant she was and noticed the way i was looking, needing to be helped. Besides her attractiveness, what impressed me the most was her professionalism, knowing exactly how to send my important court documents with a raised seal to my fiancé in the Philippines. I immediately could see she was a very competent postal employee who understood her job. I was very saddened by the experience I had at the Howard Road, Rochester, NY, Post Office last Saturday, February 14th, as the gentleman Postal Clerk adamantly refused to send my certified mail to the Philippines, making it seem like all the US Post offices do not send certified mail to the Philippines! Told me to check in very annoyed way to check out UPS, so went to them and wanted $250 to send. So funny!! So, I went to Upper Falls Post Office, and it cost me $49.75. After so much pain, struggle and frustration trying to mail a certified letter with tracking (gets delivered in 10 days besides), i didnt mind spending an extra $30 just for the peace of mind. I like knowing my important documents won't take 5 weeks to get to the Philippines and possibly get lost in the mail in some foreign post office..

I have signed up for text alerts, included delivery instructions on the website and placed a…read moregigantic note on my door asking FedEx to please bring all packages to my back deck. They are the only delivery service that insists on leaving packages in my front step - barely - two I found on the front sidewalk. I have had 5 packages stolen off my front step since September and every one was a FedEx package. Guess how many packages I've had stolen from my back deck in 27 years of living here? That's right zero. I have filed claims and apparently even though they are a shipping company no package is their responsibility. Their incompetence is infuriating.

This well hidden location is one of my favorite post offices to frequent. I like its proximity to…read moremy job and can just run out on lunch. I know the lines will be much shorted than any of the other post offices I frequent. In the last year there was a staff change and the woman I dreaded dealing with is gone. She was replaced by a very sweet and bubbly younger woman. I finally mustered up the courage to ask about the other lady whom was always rude to patrons (Think- "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" type of personality). I was informed.... she was "Promoted"... ha! Well anyway... its certainly improved this place! Lastly, and the most important part..... they always have all the new stamps, but they go fast....since they are a smaller location, they don't receive as much stock. Get there fast!

Just enough room inside for one teller, a few rows of old fashion mail boxes and a small area of envelopes available for purchase. Big plus there is hardly ever a line here, and they always have a wide variety of stamps! I love the location (near my home and work) I can avoid the large busy post offices. Limited hours: Monday-Friday 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 2:00 - 5:00 PM Saturday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Sunday Closed
