An hour later the tracking changes to "Held at Post Office, At Customer Request" I email the company and ask them what happened, they emailed me back almost immediately telling me that they did not put a hold on the package. USPS lied, claimed the package was held by the customer. I didn't hold the package. The company didn't hold the package. So who is holding my package? USPS. And this all happens on a Friday so I'm unable to get ahold of anybody at USPS until Monday. USPS is actively being gutted by the Republican party, who actively want to destroy all government agencies and replace them with privatized entities.

They do have post office boxes for rent as well. As I said, I've always had a good experience here. Everyone who's helped me out has always been super helpful. The line always moves quickly in my experience. Never had any issues there. The parking lot isn't ideal because it is shared with both staples, Safeway, as well as all the other businesses in this little strip mall. But again, the service that you get at the postal annex itself I think is great. So definitely worth checking out. They also offer notary services.

I wouldn't mind paying that if the box needed tape all over, but this was literally a tiny, 2-3 inch piece of tape just to cover a flap. Goodwill goes a long way, and good businesses make things easy for people, not difficult. That silly, frustrating interaction with an employee who seemed to enjoy making things difficult for people instantly made me understand why the previous customer was so upset. It's not about the $2; it's about an employee/policy that chooses to nickel-and-dime customers for a simple courtesy. The post office is always dreadful to think about going to, but having this alternative is a breath of fresh air.
