This is the BEST of post offices in the area. Hayden is good too but this is my go to on my errand route. I DO NOT recommend the Post Falls location. Tough parking lot, cars race and customer service is poor. Park along side street. Very clean inside. Consistent good customer service. Yesterday one employee came out to help the long line. I've been waiting on a package that was delayed for over a week. It was scheduled to go out yesterday when I checked tracking. An hour later the tracking changes to "Held at Post Office, At Customer Request" I email the company and ask them what happened, they emailed me back almost immediately telling me that they did not put a hold on the package. USPS lied, claimed the package was held by the customer. I didn't hold the package. The company didn't hold the package. So who is holding my package? USPS. And this all happens on a Friday so I'm unable to get ahold of anybody at USPS until Monday. USPS is actively being gutted by the Republican party, who actively want to destroy all government agencies and replace them with privatized entities. read more

For 28 years I have sold on eBay without a lost package. The 7th street office has lost two in the last six months, due to their failure to scan my parcels when I take them in. One woman refused to scan my package and stated it had to be 4" wide. read more

Went to post office to pick up a package today. Delivery receipt said it was delivered yesterday and accepted by an employee named Mr Hamm. I'll cut to the chase: the package was t there. The employee helping me today was Mr Hamm himself and he told me he scans packages when they arrive but doesn't check to see if the actual package is even there. Is this what the employees are actually taught to do? How is this even possible? I asked him what I should now that my package is labeled as delivered, but is missing. He said "I don't know." Stellar service Mr Hamm 10/10. Update: the UPS store today be that the Thursday morning drop off at the USPS was a whopping THREE packages. One must expect the "bare minimum," from this post office, as there is very little work ethic. It's a prime example of why the United States Postal Service, is in debt by over 9.4 billion dollars, in 2024 alone. Inefficiency at its finest. Suggestion: When a package arrives without a box #, and is then placed in "general delivery, refer to a cross reference list by name, so that the packages make it, to their intended customer. read more

Absolutely horrible, I drop of 3 packages and 1 letter. The guy postal worker scaned 1 ofcyhe packages twice so now 1 is lost then the letter never arrived so it was lost. Like seriously? I have been shipping packages through this location for many years and I've dealt with the longer and longer lines and continuing decline in customer service but today was my last straw and I'm switching to ups for all my shipping needs. On Saturday's I can usually just load the self service box to send my packages as they are all the size that will fit, I had ONE box that wouldn't fit so I knocked on the door (it was 8:45am and they do Saturday mail from 10-11:45am), hoping someone would answer. A gentleman with reddish hair and a beard stated their hours and I said I have a box that won't fit in the bin, can I possibly hand it to you or leave it by the door to be grabbed and he opens the door puts his hand out I hand him the box, i thank him, he SLAMS the door and then I hear my package THROWN into the bin. If you don't like your job get a new one but don't take it out on people who literally pay for services that pay your salary this is unacceptable. They don't offer carts anymore for when you have large amounts of boxes to ship their pickup service isn't reliable and honestly it's just disgusting what this post office has become. read more

Some of the employees are ok, a couple very good ones, the sorry, older dark haired lady and the gal that usually works at the Schreiber(sp)office are very nice, even friendly. I've used this USPS about 8x now. Unfortunately half of those times I was helped by Jesse. Never a smile, comes off very short, with poor customer service skills. The other times, I am helped by a woman who sometimes has a Hawaiian flower in her hair: she is GREAT and VERY helpful every time. Have to give 1 star because of this Jesse employee. read more

My package from Amazon Prime says that it was left near/on my front porch/door on Sunday (July 11, 2021). I was home ALL DAY LONG. No one knocked on my door or rang the bell. Usually, a picture is taken for proof of delivery and posted with Prime (for Amazon security); yet no picture was taken as evidence of delivery. We are usually very satisfied with the service we receive from our local post office (83814), but we are so angry today. After the city plowed our street yesterday--for which we were very pleased--they left a berm in front of our mail box! This resulted in our receiving a notice IN THE MAILBOX that our USPS person will not deliver our mail until the berm is removed. We are 73 and 75 years of age and one of us is recovering from a recent surgery, so even though we have tried several times to remove the berm it has frozen solid and we are unable to budge it an inch much less three feet. The thing that really got us was that the notice was placed IN THE MAILBOX. If he could deliver that why couldn't he just deliver the mail!? read more

They get 5 stars because it's the first time in my life that there was a line & they actually came & opens up another cashier. SHOCKING!!!! In any case, this is a large post office with lots of PO Boxes. They close up the service desks at the standard post office hours but the building itself is opened. I mistakenly put a UPS envelope in the mail slot for metered mail at the 7th street US post office in Coeur d'alene, the next morning I ran back to retrieve the envelope but the woman at the counter said "they (UPS) are the competition, it's your mistake, it's on you!! The envelope had the original clinical trial documents for a young person with a critical lifetime illness whose data will help find a new treatment...... She had no idea what could of or did happen to the envelope...I only hope that someone in that office had enough common sense and decency to send the envelope on to UPS.... read more

I have called post offices all over the country for many years in business and the employees at both COEUR D ALENE main and annex are so courteous, so helpful, and so competent! Usually I dread having to track a package... knowing there will be a long hold and postal employees that are pretty much over talking to the public. Not so with COEUR D ALENE staff. They are upbeat, pleasant, and know what they are doing! I was moved to write a review because you know postal employees get a bad rap in this country - these employees are wonderful!
