For the large population of Waukesha, this post office isn't nearly big enough. Though it is in a…read moregood location (the downtown area), the parking is extremely limited. There are only two handicap spots and ten regular spots. When it's busy, you'll have trouble finding parking. Moreover, there aren't very many employees working in the front. The most employees I have ever seen assisting customers at one time is two. Right around lunch time it can get extremely crowded and the line moves slowly. There are times when the line extends back through the doorway. The staff is generally pretty friendly and helpful. However, when I went to get my passport, the employee was late to the appointment I had scheduled. Overall, it's not a bad post office. I can't really recommend a certain time frame to stop by because the amount of customers can fluctuate wildly. But like I mentioned early, lunch time is usually pretty busy.

I…read moreknow post offices typically get a bad rap, but I've never had a bad experience here...maybe I've gotten lucky during the time of day I've visited?!? Recently I've gone after 5:30PM, which is nice because they are open until 6:30PM during the week. During my visits I've purchased stamps, mailed a package, and another time submitted a passport renewal. The gentleman that assisted most recently, took his time in answering my questions and helped me get everything in order prior to mailing. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area and I appreciate the longer hours.

Truly the lowest common possible functioning skillsets in action here with no adaptability, problem solving or willingness to go beyond the lowest level of effort. Thankfully I have the Informed Delivery app cause my mail and packages took 25 minutes to locate within the Post Office. I knew exactly what I was expecting and they had to find them. I've had many other issues that have required the Post Masters attention. DO NOT TRUST HIM... We had a phone call about a mail box relocation, granted me permission as to the EXACT location, then after I cemented the post and got the boxes set up he decided that the location needed to be on the other side of the street. Dozens of emails were exchanged after that showing his character. He should not be in a customer service position at all. Very rude and can not be trusted. My delivery service was non-existent for 4 days, on the 5th day I sent him an email asking him if there was a problem. He responded in the most unprofessional manner and completely condescending.... I was forced into getting a PO Box because I can not depend on any service at all. Once there is a change at the Post Master level, maybe the quality of service can come back to par. Right now, this post office is a joke. Don't bother contacting them if there is an issue, just go straight to USPS Consumer Affairs and file a complaint with them.
