I needed to mail a laptop to a relative in Miami. I was asked what was inside, and I said it was a laptop so to please mark it as fragile. While the personnel seemed helpful (prima facie), the effectiveness of the services is very questionable. It has been exactly one month and my package never arrived to Miami. In fact, it never left NY, tracking stayed "In Transit to Next Facility". I went through all the hassle of initiating reports, including a "missing" search request, and there has been little or no communication (boiler plate email full full of instructions about filing more claims) and a total lack of accountability. If I ever even use the USPS again (which I will try not to), it will not be this post office. read more

Service has improved. The "rude" lady everyone is mentioning no longer works there as she has retired. As a local resident that used to have a PO Box it took me 7 months of saying hello and asking her how her day was to break the ice with her to get greeted pleasantly. It shouldn't have had to be that way but it was. The older gentleman is a bit odd but he shows up everyday and does his job corectly which I cannot say about everyone these days. I am not sure why they bother to have a phone as it rings and no one every picks up, they must be affiliated with Walmart in Newburgh, NY as I can call either of them non-stop for a year and never get a person answering. All in all, much better, mail gets delivered on time and I haven't had to complain for over 2 years. I call that a TRIUMPH! read more

Lost certified mail, no one answers the phone, no voicemail (not that they would call back).

I now know why UPS and FedEx prevail over the USPS. The hire employees that know nothing about courtesy. I am not from the area but passed through needing to drop off a couple packages. My credit card wouldn't slide through the card reader so instead of Mrs. Griffin or Griffith telling me there's an ATM RIGHT next door at the bank or CVS she gave me an attitude and told me she had to cancel my order. She was one of the rudest employees I've ever encountered at an establishment where they are supposed to act professional. And where is the chip reader?? It's 2018, come on! I thought I had done something wrong until I came here to read these reviews. I never leave reviews and never file complaints, but this woman Mrs. Griffith (or Griffin) certainly earned it today. From the very start, it was nothing but attitude. The other gentleman there, I believe his name was Dan, was nice and tried his best to help. However, this woman met me at every turn and corner with attitude and disrespect. Even took somebody before me who not only came in after me, but had an appointment after me (passports, I overheard her tell Dan what time hers was. It was after mine). When I went to ask her what was going on, she told me to "wait out there" (in the waiting area). Finally I just took my application and left. Don't bother coming to this Post Office if she's around, you're guaranteed to leave in a foul mood. read more

The absolute worst post office I have EVER been to. The staff are so rude and in a hurry to make you go away. They make absolutely zero effort to even be pleasant. I hate going here. I always leave feeling mad because of the way I was treated. Please do yourself a favor and just go to the New Windsor post office. read more

The customer service lady is extremely rude and has no patience. I asked her a few questions about my PO box and she was very condescending.

Refused to ship a box with duct tape. I was told I had to use only clear tape. I went to New Windsor post office, much nicer!!! Cornwall post office Flippant, curt...and unethical .. the US post office is for all people and all types of affordability. This lady seemed internally pleased to turn people away. I've lived in Cornwall most of my life, moved away for a few years, and returned to find the Post Office here is now staffed by some of the rudest, disrespectful, unhelpful, nasty people on planet earth. They make the Motor Vehicle staff look friendly! I have seen employees there speak down to elderly, and young folk, toss things at people, refuse to accept packages they consider to be improperly secured, give an eye-roll to a person requesting a single stamp, raise their voice, talk over people and ignore a long line of people while they chat. I use the Office Max for my mail drop offs. This entire staff should be replaced. They are horrible to customers. read more

They regularly misdeliver mail......Its beyond excuses.......I notice the mail carrier is constantly on his phone......via his bluetooth. Repeated phone calls do no good.....Its seems the entire office is content to operate under those conditions...... read more

Friendly staff, two windows, fast service. Lobby opens early for mailbox pick up. Sadly it is no longer open until 7.
