I was here recently on a Saturday morning, as soon as it opened at 0900 hrs. I liked how it opened immediately on time, and how nice the lady at the counter was. She was working alone, but she was super efficient, yet also personable and friendly. This site isn't like the sterile Redmond site; it is in an older building and is warmer, with character. (Note: I don't quite get the poor reviews of this site due to USPS rate increases, or delayed receipt of packages. Those types of issues are not due to anything this site is or is not doing, but rather are symptoms of an aging postal system that needs re-vamping. I can't really say I'm a fan of any USPO, but this one was pretty quick, even though there were only two people working, and even though there were a LOT of slow old people there. Oh, and as a clue to anyone reading this... when you pull your car into this location's driveway... DO NOT just STOP and wait for someone to pull out. There MAY be people BEHIND you. You may be HOLDING UP TRAFFIC on the ROAD. I suppose this applies to EVERY driveway though.... but when I went (I parked elsewhere and walked) I watched half a dozen people do just that (stop traffic just so they could get a parking spot) :-[ I know... unrelated to the office... but not really... not if they opened up their back parking lot to customers... :-/ read more

This is a Hit or Miss Post Office Parking is often a problem during peak hours. There isn't much room to wait to park, about 2 cars can fit - so the rest of traffic is backed up on the road trying to get in. If you want to take a left to enter this post office, forget it - I waited 7 minutes once, and eventually had to drive up the street and make a U-Turn. There is often a loitering problem here, inside and out. There are a lot of people who bring their whole family inside with them to mail a package, cluttering the lines, heightening peoples stress with loud, unruly children roaming about creating a nuisance. There is such a large population of foreigners with limited mastery English living in Bellevue, so quite often there are several people cluttering the lines hopelessly trying to fill out documents they don't understand, cutting, interupting your transactions to try and ask questions, thus lengthening your time spent inside this Tower of Babel and Adult Contemporary Radio Music. The only chance of a smooth transaction at the counter is left up to chance - Some workers there are very efficient and polite, others speak limited English and just stick to the recited lines and try and push whatever is most expensive. read more

Update: Oh Patrick Lee, you're so full of shit. You've got to be the dumbest "supervisor" ever. He called saying we weren't entitled to a refund because we used to wrong form - a form his employee told us to use. Intially, we weren't entitled to a refund b/c we wrote the address wrong and now this? Let's see how many more lies you can come up with. Get your facts straight before you open your mouth again, Patrick Lee. You just look dumb. Don't worry, I've already gone over your head and gotten my refund that I was owed me SINCE YOU NEVER DELIVERED MY PACKAGE. Original: Do not use this post office. There's another a few blocks away. Avoid this one at all costs - the manager who works here, Rochelle Peralta, has no respect for customers, is completely rude, and doesn't care that she takes your money and doesn't provide the service you paid for. I went in to mail an international package. I paid at this location, and they sent it via FedEx. FedEx wrongly assumed I wrote the address wrong, and sent my package back. They've since admitted they were wrong, but during that time, it was so difficult to sort out the situation with FedEx and USPS, that I used DHL just to get the package out. 5 stars to DHL though - quick, friendly, easy and cheaper!!! Anyways, I went back to USPS to get my money back b/c they never mailed out my package. Rochelle, the manager, told me I had to contact FedEx for my money. Not a smart one, that manager. I paid at this location, this is the location that should refund my money! I called FedEx, and they said exactly what I thought. So I returned to USPS, and Rochelle told me to wait until she had time, which was over an hour later. She was rude and condescending the entire time, refused to admit the mistakes that were made, that when she finally decided to "help" me, that I just asked for her name. She suddenly decided she would be helpful, and took my number down to allegedly call me when she figured out what she could do for me. I seriously doubt she will ever call me, or that I will ever get my money back. Money I paid for a service that was never provided. This post office branch is pretty good. The desk clerks have all been working for the USPS, the majority of them at this branch, for years and years. They know many of us by sight and quite a few by name. They are friendly and EFFICIENT. The lines get long but don't let that scare you; they keep it moving. There are PO boxes here but the waitlist is ridiculously long. Plan ahead. They have an Automated Postal Center (APC) machine here now, which is awesome. It makes many of the things you used to have to go to the counter for self-serve, saving tons of time for everyone. And it's 24 hours! Our letter carrier works from this station and it's easy to go in there and handle vacation holds and the like. I feel safe doing that with this group because we've known all of them for so long. BEWARE: This is NOT the last pick-up post office on tax day. The last pickup here on April 15th and every other day is 5:30 pm; then you can go to the main Bellevue Post Office until 11 pm. After that, you have to drive all the way to Tukwila for the 24-hour station, but you must get there before midnight to get the correct postmark. They don't fool around. read more

Lame, lame, lame! Can the drivers not read, or do they just not care? Had chocolates shipped and paid for priority overnight delivery. Clearly marked "do not leave in mailbox, or in hot sun" of course, in the box they go in the direct sunlight at 85 degree day. Had items re shipped, again, same expected laziness! In the box I find the chocolates again! Ridiculous. I will never use the USPS for shipping given a choice. read more

I don't usually like to 1-star places but I can't avoid it here - the staff are so unhelpful, almost just plain rude! I needed to send something via certified mail and having never done this before, I was rather hoping to get some help from the counter clerks with it. I had the required receipts filled out and my envelope ready but I didn't realise that the receipts needed to be stuck on the envelope in particular ways. When my turn at the express line came (I assumed express was suitable since I just had one envelope to mail), the clerk took one look at me, told me I wasn't prepared and then shouted out for the next person. I told her that I didn't really know what else I needed to do and asked if she could help but she just brushed me off again. And the crazy part was - there wasn't even another person waiting for the express counter! USPS procedures can be quite confusing for someone who isn't familiar with the system and when the staff won't help you out, the whole experience is pretty nightmarish. read more

Sent a parcel on July 1 to Seattle University from Bellevue, Made a mistake by posting it via usps. I should've driven up to Seattle and hand delivered it. It's been 10 days, and there's no sign of the package! phew.. should've been careful and not chosen USPS. I learnt a large envelope takes 10+(and counting) days to cross lake Washington! read more

I hate going to the post office as it is, but especially this one. the lines are long, the employees are usually rude, and getting out of the parking lot is a huge pain. Sometimes I drive to the Bridle Trails Bartels just to ship ebay stuff, the women that manage it are really sweet and they don't mind helping you pack something in the right box/envelope to save money. read more

Nobody expects stellar service from the post office but the manager of this location is just a dick! Our community mailbox was broken and I went in to get information on how to fix or replace it. Rather than help he told me that he has already told some of my neighbors the rules. I said please explain them to me as I am just trying to get this done he said no and ended up slamming the door on me. He was just so worthless it made the experience terrible. I ended up filing a complaint against him. This was the second experience that was bad with him. read more

Rude Service! I was waiting in line patiently to send my one item package, when all of a sudden the post clerk on the far rigth desk started yelling through the post office that people with "one item" packages or letters did not need to wait and come to the front right away. Well, I was also one of these people and had waited in line for at least 10 minutes already,. I told the clerk about this, but he refused to let me go first. Instead he provided service to three people, who had just entered the post office. before he took care of my packet. When I was at his desk I told him again how unfair I think I was treated, since I have waited in line for so long. And this is what he answered back to me: "Life is hard at times, isn´t it?!" Wow, how rude is that? I will never go to this location at Crossroads again. It is not the first time that I have been treated rudely there. The customer services at Cross Road Post Office 15731 NE 8TH ST, BELLEVUE, WA 98008-9998, is really bad. For a couple of times, I have experienced very bad customer services from various staffs at different times, both on the phone and on site. Not to mention any names here but these people should know that we are using the services of USPS thus we are a customer and should be treated respectfully and nicer and not with their stinky attitude. I hope the UPS store which is only across from Cross Rd USPS has better services. read more
