In 2024, more of the same - lack of delivery with packages and no one answers the phone when calling. I'm attaching a pic of my last 2 Petco orders. Petco unfortunately has UPS hand off the order to the East Stroudsburg Post Office, perhaps not realizing the black hole that our post office is and how unreliable the service is. 2 creative ways the tracking shows the post office did their job when out for delivery, except no package is anywhere to be found. I'll be mentioning this when I review Petco next, as they are saving money by UPS handing off order to usps, but wasting a lot more by needing to refund my charges or re-send the entire order. It doesn't seem other post offices have such bad reviews year after year after year. read more

They do not deliver packages to the door if they do not fit in box. Why wouldn't they? It is literally 20 feet to the door. So now 2 notices that action is needed. Then WHY is their phone number either always busy, or they answer and hang up? Not to mention the post person is never nice, doesn't even look at you if you are standing there. Honestly the worst service. I ordered item to be delivered. They state the mailbox was full. If its a letter slot that fits mail envelopes. No shit a mattress won't fit in my mailbox. There are time when the item gets delivered but I go to my box and nothing is there. Sometimes my neighbor drop of my packages that were sent to there home. Sometimes I get the box key to package that isn't even mines. Sometimes my item is marked delivered but not there. read more

They don't deliver packages that are 'big', like garbage bags....it's considered too 'big.' And customer service is very unfriendly.

This is by far the worst US Post Office in PA, it has to be. From delivering the mail to the wrong address, delivering it a month or 2 later (bills that have due dates) to lie about not delivering items from Amazon, saying "held at post office, customer request", and everything in between, these people are incompetent. I never, ever request my packages to be held at the post office. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR YOUR SHEER INCOMPETENCE!!! Terrible !!!! Don't even bothering trying to call them, no one ever answers. My certified mail never gets delivered and if it does its a month later. They are lazy! If things don't fit in the mailbox they rather not even deliver it because they have to get out of the truck. Sometimes they don't even deliver mail. Quite a few negative reviews. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've lived in this postal district for 26 years and at the end of the day, they've done a pretty good job. Can't remember having them messed up anything of consequence on me. The carriers are not all full of smiles, but generally do a good job. The workers at the post office have always been helpful and gone the extra mile in finding packages that are at the post office, but couldn't be delivered due to size. The old timers in particular are very helpful and always greet me in a friendly and helpful manner. Yes, the lines can be longer than I like sometimes, especially over the past year. I don't see that as being the fault of the workers, they might need another person at the service desk at certain times. Keep up the good work! Some of us are appreciative. read more

nobody ever answers the phone & the delivery drivers are lazy. there's no reason why my stuff is out for delivery @6am and doesn't even get delivered til the next day. literally drove past my local usps van in my apartment complex FEET away from my door & they still decided to not deliver my package. now I have no idea when I'll even get it. to top it off, the delivery drivers don't know how their alphabet apparently. I get mail from different letter apartments all the time & it causes me to have no room in my mailbox. read more

The large distribution post office in area. Not bad service but this is a post office so smiles are hard to come by. But I've not lost a package that they had for me though some of the rules are silly, like: package that requires a signature has to be loaded on the truck even if it cannot be delivered since I get all my mail at a single location in the community instead of at the house. read more

They don't answer the phone for days straight. They are unfriendly at the East burg office on Courtland St. the p/t driver consistently delivers my mail to a maintenance building down the road despite multiple signs out directing them to our house. A house that's been here for over 40 years. Clearly no one taught them the route. They have wonky agreements with ups, Amazon and FedEx that doesn't allow either party to track packages correctly. If only I could give 0 star for this post office. I just move to the area and the mail man came up to my house to give me a piece of paper stating that they cannot deliver to my house because there is no way for them to get to my house which is about 50 feet from the main road and that they will held my mail at the post office unless I put my mailbox on the Main Street, but somehow he was able to get to the front of my house to deliver the stupid letter. The resident that sold the house told me that the mailbox is always been in front of the house and now they say that is impossible to deliver my mail in front of my house. I'm a disable person as is hard for me to get my mail out on the Main Street and they been making it impossible for me. I've been trying to tell the post master about my situation but they don't care. Sometimes I have to send family to pick up my mail and they don't want to give my mail or package to them unless I go personally. UPS, FeDex and Amazon deliver packages to my house with no problem, but somehow this idiots that get pay so much money to deliver mail are so lazy and are making it so hard for me to get my mail. Every time I go to pick up my mail they are extremely rude and always ask me why i have to pick up my mail and why I haven't fix the problem, problem that they have created just because of one lazy mailman. For 4 years now once November hits the mail is on average delivered two to three hours later than usual male starts to become inconsistent things don't arrive things get lost. This post office constantly puts mail in the wrong mailbox and I am always missing pieces of mail. And the latest ongoing trouble with this post office is that they get my Amazon packages and muck up delivery of these too!!!! My Amazon order was to be delivered on Saturday by USPS (so I can get the project done on the weekend). USPS DID NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO DELIVER THE PACKAGE on Saturday. They simply held the package at the post office and left me a pickup slip (at 12pm) in my mailbox. Guess what time the post office closes? 12pm. So much for getting my project done, simply outrageous!!! And I can't get to the post office until the next Saturday, incredibly frustrating service. I live in a gated community. Our boxes have locks and the post office insisted that locked gates be provided so as not to compromise the mail delivery. With that said, I have reported three checks missing on 2/27/21. All from the Department of Treasury. I have Informed Delivery so I have actual pictures of the mail that should have been delivered. It is now 3/9/21, I have checked off the boxes that mail wasn't delivered, I have filed missing mail report. All have come back as "thank you, but there will not be an investigation and I should reached out to whom sent the mail to resend". I have tried to reach out to the Post Office for three days, but no one answers the phone. This kind of nonsense has been going on for years. I cannot understand with all the security they insist on having, mail is stolen or not delivered. There is no responsibility taken by the Post Office at all. I've filed complaints with the Post Master General and nothing. I feel that it's the mail carriers stealing the mail, since there is so much security around them and no one other than carriers have access to the mail pavilion. It always seems that I get my junk mail, without delay, but anything worth any monetary value is missing. I can't even think it can be anyone other than the carriers since we do not have access to our locked boxes until the carriers leave. There has to be someone that can be held responsible, but I have not found anyone yet. read more

I can't even say how many times in the past 2 years I have had issues with the incompetence of this post office, and when you complain believe me when I say that they retaliate against you by purposely throwing away your bill notices from that time forward. I have not had mail delivered for two weeks. I signed up for the mail identification service which provides a photo of mail that is about to be delivered. There were at least 6 pieces of mail identified by this service that were supposed to be delivered but never arrived. The e mail notice provides the ability for a recipient to indicate that mail was not received which I did for each piece of mail but no action from this post office. . I've heard neighbors complain about the service to NS III so maybe it is related to a particular mail carrier not sure. . I don't know if there is an alternative to the USPS but if I could replace them I would. read more

Customer service is getting better. The issue is that, the post lady misses our house number and ends up delivering our packages to another house and vice versa. This is so inconveniencing that you have to go to that house and asked them to get your mails. I have missed so many packages, that I decided to use my job as a shipping address. Worst Postal Service ever, 0 stars if the app would allow. I order things online and they rarely deliver. I live in a condo and my neighbors get their packages delivered ON THEIR DOORSTEP , me, I get a card saying pick up your packages. I get my mail EVERYDAY from my box, but rarely get packages delivered. I work swing shift so it's hard for me to pick up my orders. UPS contracts them to deliver packages, but rarely do I get them if I don't drive to the post office and pick them up myself. I've spoken to the head mail lady and she is utterly useless. Yes tax dollars at work spent on worthless individuals. They use contractors who literally don't do their jobs, why would they? Tomorrow they'll be somewhere else. It's no wonder they are in so much financial jeopardy, they don't do what everyone pays them to do. I have lived here for 15 years, and the only negative thing I can say about where I live...is the post office. Set your standards low...they probably won't even be able to meet them! read more

The worst post office ever. Package that was suppose to be delivered on Sunday December 30, 2018, was NEVER DELIVERED , although they state that it was. They may have delivered it to the wrong home which is the fault of the post office. My address is CORRECT, I have no problems with deliveries through UPS, but with this post office it's an ever problem. I am contacting the Post Master General, if I could sue them I would. I believe them to be EXTREMELY INCOMPETENT. The post mistress is RUDE AND BELLIGERENT,she has no CONCEPT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Training on how to speak to people maybe beneficial. This is by far the worst post office I have ever had to deal with. Today the very rude man behind the counter said he didn't care that I didn't have a slip in a very nasty way and asked for my id. I explained that the package was under my husband's name he proceeded to tell me I couldn't have the package because I didn't have his id and that the address on my id is current. Well I'm not the only one in the area who is a duel state resident and my name is on the box card for current mailing address and it only seems to be a problem when certain people are working. I think this person needs a different job not dealing with the public and from now on I will have all my packages sent UPS or FedEx so I don't have to deal with the tiny little man with penis envy. read more

I wish I can give this post office zero stars. The people there are rude, you get conflicting information from each person. They never drop off my packages. Most of the time they don't even leave the little slip that they leave to say they missed you. I'm home all day, they just refuse to get out of their truck. Worst post office I've ever used and terrible management. I have had so many issues with this branch over the years. Around the holidays they were constantly marking packages as delivered when they were not to avoid getting penalized by amazon for not delivering by a certain time. They're also always leaving my packages in front of my garage, in plain view of the street, where they have gotten rained on and even once stolen. My porch is a 10 foot walk away and they cant even be bothered. When I approached management, she unapologetically told me that the carriers get paid by the minute and that this behavior would not change. How your employees get paid is irrelevant to me if they cant be bothered to perform their job competently. Most of the office workers are rude, with maybe two exceptions. read more
