Jimmy at this location is always pleasant. Usually the female workers are not so pleasant and can be very difficult.

I just moved to this area so seeing the local post office took me for a loop. There was mail unattended by the trucks, anyone could've taken items. I get that they're under construction but there's got to be a more secure way to do that. The mail person who helped me didn't seem nice but I think that's her disposition. The Forney Post Office is the worst!!! I put 5 pieces of mail in my mailbox week before last with the flag up so the carrier would know there was outgoing mail to be picked up. Instead of picking the mail up, the carriers left it, but they put mail in. I fai to check the mail that day, but when I did check the next day, there was 2 days worth of mail, BUT they had never picked up my outgoing mail. One piece was a birthday card that wasn't delivered until after the fact. Then, I put a check in the mail last Monday, and the next day I put another check in the mail to the same company...the check I put in on Tuesday has already been cashed, but the company has NEVER received the check I mailed them on Monday...I know because I called the company today. Last December, I mailed all of my Christmas cards at the Forney office at the same time...my Mother NEVER got hers. I've had mailed returned marked "undeliverable" or "insufficient address" and I've used the SAME address for years. The USPS gets worse, but they still raise the prices. I just got the worst treatment ever. I honestly felt it was racially motivated. I think you need to look into training your staff to treat everyone equally regardless of color. They basically made me feel like I wasn't worth helping. Management didn't help either. So I also work for a government agency myself and I have used other post offices who have allowed me to do this simply because they did not look at me as a terrorist. I buy hair from China and sometimes they want me to return the hair because the order is wrong. So as part of their return policy they ask the customers to take a pic of the tracking number and the package to show we sent it off. And that's exactly what I have been doing. But this one post office refused to give me the package so I could take a picture of it. They claim that it's against the law to do this? What law am I breaking? No one could show the law in black and white to prove it to me. I strongly believe this is a law you made up simply because of the color of my skin! They said "no" even to my request of going outside to do it. So now let's picture this.... if I was a Caucasian female that made this request it would not be a problem at all. I know this for a fact. I will not be returning back over here because I feel your staff discriminates on customers based on race. I hope someone of authority reads this message and talks to the staff. No one should be mistreated because of the color of their skin. I am an African American female veteran who served this country for 8 years and this is how you treat people at a post office! Sad that in 2018 people can be so ignorant and customer service is poor. I have been in here four times over the course of a month. Ever single employee I have had the pleasure of going to has been nothing but friendly and wonderful. They also work extremely quickly... absolutely the fastest I have seen in the Metroplex, and my Mom who used to be a Postal Worker said they also did a phenomenal job. We bought our new construction home in November. We constantly have important documents put in the wrong mailbox or not showing up after my tracking info shows delivered. The final straw has come with a package that has been locked our mailbox for a week and I was given the wrong key. I have left the key in the box with a hot pink post it note saying it is the wrong key. They continue to place mail on top of the key & note without doing anything about it. I would give zero stars if I could. Today I went in to get 30 large envelopes postage. I know it takes some time and I appreciate the effort that goes into printing each stamp. I do it that way because I was told by an employee that it's cheaper than two stamps, so I have them manually weigh and stamp. Anyways, I went in for my weekly drop off, and I get a lady I have never seen before. She never greeted me, I just told her what I needed and she took them and started printing postage. After a few envelopes she says to me "just so you know, for the time I've been standing here, it's 2 stamps." So I explained why I don't use stamps for these letters and she rolled her eyes. A few more envelopes in and she turns to her co-worker and says the same thing "it's just 2 stamps" and rolls her eyes. I have never been treated so badly anywhere before. I know I'm an annoying customer because of the manual postage, but it normally takes the guy I see 5-7 minutes. I was in there for almost an hour today. My mail is always delivered to another address. It seems the mail carriers cannot or refuse to read. I have complained to the main office and nothing has changed. One package of a medical item was tracked in Forney but then sent to another town. And from there it was tracked as lost. And when I do receive mail it's not until 6pm or later. read more

They never deliver to the correct address, I have seen them fold letters that say "DO NOT FOLD", they mail carriers are extremely rude and never smile and wave when you say hello. USPS in Forney have Lazy workers. I received my Graduate diploma Last Saturday, June 19th, in the mail. The delivery driver bent the envelope that clearly said DO NOT BEND on it and shoved it into my mailbox instead of getting out of the truck and putting it on the front porch. DO NOT WORK IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO HALF THE WORK. Clearly, I'm affected by this. We live at 1000 Reeder lane in the Silver Spring Senior Apts. We have BAD BAD service!!! Right now one whole box is not shut. And they left mail undelivered still in rubber bands in the out going mail. They didn't want to take the time to put about 20 pieces of mail in the peoples boxes. We don't get our mail until 8 pm at night sometimes. We do not have a regular mail person. We all loved the lady who delivered our mail by 4 pm for years but her route got too large. DOH!. They have a service door that allows customers to drop off your prepaid postage items between 630 and 8:30 AM. Here, I ring the doorbell and stand there for 10 to 15 minutes and still nobody answers the door. If it wasn't a government facility they would've shut this place down years ago. read more

Clerk 10 was to busy trying to get home instead of actually putting the right address and listening to me, the customer. I kept telling her the zipcode, due to the way my sharpie was on the box when I was writing it. She did not listen at all and now I'm trying to figure out how to get the package to my customer. I own a small business and this box I was sending was for a customer. Instead of yelling at everyone in line and your coworker maybe focus on the customer right infront of you. These people don't know what they are doing. Our mail is always so mixed up with not only our neighbors, but also random addresses nowhere near us. I took it there a few times but I don't have time to return mail every week that isn't mine. Another terrible experience with this USPS location...I accidentally left a UPS Brown package at this location. I look into what would happen. I was told in person and from the direct website that this issue happens pretty often and to not worry as the UPS delivery driver who makes stops at the post office would pick the item up and there may be a delay in delivery or update in tracking. Well that's strange because it has been over a week and there is no sign of package or tracking. UPS doesn't know and USPS doesn't know. USPS knows that if the package is left there in another carriers name that it is at their mercy. Having no care they can simply steal it or throw it away. Or just let it sit in a corner and wait for claim but I went there physically and asked about the package and it wasn't there apparently. So where is it? Either still sitting there, stolen by employee, or has shipped and Brown UPS just decided not to scan it. I find that is unlikely it was ever picked up and has been stolen. Delivery can't be confirmed or denied unless recipient is honest and actually receives the package. But then they know it's not tracked as well because they can check as it's their purchase. No package at the USPS and no delivery equals stolen. I hope it was worth it because it was a 5 car pack of Hot Wheels worth maybe $25 at most. More like $15. Principal is what it is about. Hence this review. This post office is a sad sad operation backed by an entity that is much like Walmart. Billions in profit, run it like you shat on it. Gross employees who dismiss you as an idiot don't help. Making you feel bad about a mistake and caring less about how to help correct it. They are 'as a matter of fact' about everything. The smirk and act they put on is all training. They do what they want how they want when they want even though you pay for it. Incompetent isn't even the word I want to use but is what is allowed without sounding like I'm not intelligent. Overall I just think there needs to be an overhaul at this USPS location. It takes them at least, sometimes more than 24 hours to get a 2 day priority just out the damn door and on the truck. The Forney post office needs a complete change of employees. There are several mail boxes in on multiple streets that have needed the lock replaced for over 4 months now. This forces us to go pick up mail and deal with these rude and condescending people there. When asked when the boxes will be fixed, the only answer is "were waiting for the guy".
