I had about 13 packages to ship out, and was DREADING going to the USPS Post- Office based on previous poor experience. However, I was presently surprised at how quick the service was, and how friendly the employees were. There were 2 women working the counter, and we were in and out of there in about 20 minutes. There were people waiting in line (about 3 ahead of us). We were there right at the opening on a Monday morning. I would recommend getting there early to beat the crowd! There were people trickling in as we were leaving the post office. The Post Office is dated, and a drab though! Poor lighting, and interior that has not been updated since the 70s probably. I went in today to drop off a package. The printer printed the label that said no postage necessary if mailed in the United States this was a return from eBay and the way it printed it cut off the no postage and half of necessary and the staff refused to reprint the label or scan the package because the barcode was completely intact. The address was intact. Nothing else was missing, but they refuse to take my package because it did not say that I could've handwritten that on there if that was acceptable but no, they would not allow it and I was forced to go home without being able to drop off my Package and reprint the label. Completely unhelpful staff this would never happen UPS. I know that they have the ability to scan a barcode and reprint if UPS can do it. I'm sure the United States Postal Service can do it. It's just complete lack of customer service. Yes I did throw a fit. I am not proud of that part, but it was just incredibly unhelpful when I have very limited time to do these types of errands during their working hours. read more

US Post Office Review 10/03/2020 Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. While the Postal Service has no official motto, the popular belief that it does is a tribute to America's postal workers. When I was growing up we had a personal relationship with our postal carrier. He was given a gift during holidays and homemade cookies. We knew him by name. The one we had in Florida was our carrier for 25 years. We always received the mail timely. Things have changed. I still tell my mail delivery person how much I appreciate her. I leave her a card now and then. I know people that have been employed by the U. S. Postal Service. It's a hard job with long hours, limited flexibility and very little appreciation. I'm one that appreciates this public service IMMENSELY!!! I'm posting photos of my favorite stamps and more. This concerns delivery. I mailed wedding invitations, requiring extra postage, from this Wylie post office at the counter. I mailed 87. To date, 31 were never received! NEVER, NEVER try to send mail from this place! They are incompetent! read more

The employees here are always friendly and prompt. It has a nice environment compared to many post offices in this area. I drive 30 minutes to go here because it's the best post office around . Sure there are lines , but they move pretty quick and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Love this post office ! read more

Don't try to come before closing time thinking it will be faster. I did that and there was a long line, lol. Goofy minds, think alike. I had to leave because they closed at 5pm, I arrived at about 445pm but my daughter had cheer/tumble class down the street and we would have been late if I would have waited in the line. I did go back the next morning around 1030am and there were only 2 people in front of me. Didn't take long at all. The drive in & exist could be better. When you do leave, you have to either do a U turn in a high traffic area, depending on what direction you need to go or the other way you have to cross over an open median area, which has the same high volume traffic both directions. read more

Last Thursday I visited this Post Office to mail packages to my family as I will not be able to make it home for the Holiday's this year. When I entered the office, I found a quiet counter to continuing placing my labels on my packages. After my second label, I ran out of tape. I walked over to a USPS employee, who I later found out was Con, the supervisor on duty, and asked for some tape. Con handed me a roll of tape for my remaining three labels and I assured him I would return it as soon as I was finished. As I was in the middle of taping my remaining labels, out of nowhere, I was screamed at and accused of stealing tape in front of an entire lobby of customers and employees by an employee named Terry. Terry yelled at me saying, "Oh no! I don't think so! You need to put that back right now! You can't use that! You're not supposed to have that! You took that without permission!" I couldn't believe what was happening and that I was being treated like a criminal and humiliated in front of a room full of people. I then stated that an employee gave it to me. Despite being given this information, Terry continued to berate and accuse me. Con finally spoke up and said he gave me permission to use it, but not before he attempted to silence me while I was speaking in an effort to defend myself. Terry continued to antagonize me by making snide remarks and laughing in my face while I made every attempt to gather myself from the humiliation she subjected me to. After the incident occurred, I stepped aside to speak with Con about my concerns. I expected Con to deescalate the situation, but unfortunately, he did the opposite. He was extremely dismissive and continued to make excuses for Terry's behavior. Con said that Terry apologized, but when I stated that I never received an apology, Con said Terry apologized to him. He then proceeded to say that Terry did not have an opportunity to apologize to me, but I reminded him of all the things she said to me that could have been an apology but wasn't. Con also stated that there was another issue involving tape with another customer before me, once again attempting to justify the way I was treated. I stated that there was no way of me knowing this and even if it were the case, it has no bearing on how Terry mishandled the situation with me. I literally went from one employee accusing me of stealing to her direct supervisor minimizing the entire situation and dismissing every concern brought to his attention. Con began to tell me what Terry initially said to me, but I told him that was not what she said as I remember it verbatim. After he asked me to repeat what was said, he admitted to hearing what I stated was said to me by Terry. When the incident first began, he even went as far as to direct me to "calm down" instead of directing his employee to stop yelling at me. It was clear then that if I did not advocate on my own behalf, no one would, including, the supervisor on duty! I'm still in shock that I was treated with such animosity over tape. Tape, that was not the property of Terry, but that of the Post Office. With so much going on, a part of me didn't want to make the time to write this review, but I knew deep down that this was something I needed to make time for. This is not the way a customer or anyone for that matter should be treated, and I don't believe this to be an isolated event. I say this not only because Terry accused me with no thought or hesitation, but I witnessed her interaction with the customer she had in front of her. She was rude and exuded such a cold demeanor. I was told by Con that my only two options to file a complaint were to call the 1800 number (which I had to ask him for twice after he suggested I use Google to find it) or to use the survey on my receipt. read more

I always have difficulty with this location- the Wylie one. Number one, their hours are not conducive to people who work. On Saturdays, they close by 11am. I mean... Seriously? I would think that with holidays approaching, they would extend the hours to accommodate more people since they need to mail things. But they dont. It's almost like they don't want my business. Which I'm happy to take to Fed ex or UPS . And when I can make it when they are open, they usually only have two registers open. And the clerk's take forever. The joke is that sloths work at the DMV, I think a better depiction would be the post office. Again, I don't think they want people's business. read more

This post office is something else. I'm usually alright with them until comes the CHRISTMAS SEASON and packages are NEVER delivered to my house and delivered to someone else's place. Sometimes the trustworthy 2 streets over homeowners come and give me my packages. But sometimes I AM OUT OF PAYING for something I NEVER received. THEY don't pay attention to details and packages is a win win. WHICH sucks! You would think you could depend on the usps instead of worrying if you're going to get you mail, packages. I pulled up to the parking lot at 5pm and ran inside because i needed to send something overnight, as soon as I opened the door and walked in the older man who I assume is the manager tells me, "sorry ma'am we are closed", as I'm looking around and still see tons of people in line. I said "Sir I really just need to overnight this document." (Obviously this is very important if I'm spending $24 to do so) and he just turns his head away and shakes his head no. How extremely rude to turn away something that is an emergency when I'm standing in your doorway at 5 o'clock and you still have people standing in line! One more customer wouldn't have made any difference. I am glad I don't live around here and have to do business with inconsiderate people like him. Extremely displeased. read more

In the 15 years I have lived in Wylie I have never had an issue with the service at the counter or with the carriers. In fact my mail carrier goes above and beyond to handle our mail. The counter, when busy; is professional, courteous, and moves smoothly and a quickly as the patrons will allow. It wouldn't hurt for some of the patrons to understand how the postal service works. There are forms to fill out, and some items that must be declared, and procedures that must be completed BEFORE you arrive at the counter looking like and ignorant fool. Take responsibility for yourself, and know what you need, the counter personal can not read your mind. Educate yourself instead relying on others. Be self sufficient, usps.com has a plethora of information to imbibe that may make your USPS experience more efficient, and enjoyable(as enjoyable as mailing a package can be). i have only dealt with this office for a short time. Only through carriers not in person. I have several times had wrong mail in my box , and its not a simple mistake because its addresses that are not my neighbors but addresses blocks away with house numbers that no where near match mine. I can understand that this happens but not repeatedly. The carrier [S] also drive like maniacs to each box as if they are in a race. This is why my box was bent ,damaged. I never made complaints until my box was damaged.The last straw is the carrier bending my box with his truck by parking too close and driving away and catching my box on his window. . And he full on knows he did it because the window he reaches out of to deposit mail is huge,low ,wide as anyone can see on mail vans. I called to report this and had to redial for 25 minutes because they were not answering phone. The person answering was not concerned in the least and asked me if i was sure it was carrier who did damage. My reply , was yes because i checked mail and box was fine,20 minutes later i go out again because i see carrier drive by and theres my mail and damaged box. The person took my number but of course never called back as i knew he wouldnt. I expected this and from seeing all US post office reviews online i know im not alone in the unprofessionalism of the post office as these things and worse occur througout the country. But i wont replace a box their carrier damaged without posting a complaint / review. I have to be held accountable for my actions and i expect the same from other adults!
