Our mail lady (Andrea) is a gem, she is professional, courteous and hard working! The Rockwall Post Office management is a joke. Priority mail packages left before 5PM routinely are not processed the same day. Tracking number 9405550105495024124913 was droppd off at 4:40PM on April 22 and was not scanned that evening. Priority mail should be processed the same day if dropped off before 5PM. Calling the Post Office number only gets the phone to ring many times and then the call is disconected. The Postmaster will not answer or return calls when complaints are filed with the USPS website. read more

Scheduled an appointment to get passports for the whole family (4ppl). Came 10 minutes early. Appointment started in time. Reginald (one of the employees) helped us out. He was friendly, efficient and fast. The appt was supposed to take 1 hour... we were done in 30 minutes. It was a fairly steady busy morning but between Reggie and a few other employees, they did a great job managing the crowd. Terrible service. My mail never gets delivered. The driver will not attempt to knock on my door, but instead drop a note in my mail box or stick it on my door and claim first attempt made. Why are you delivering mail and pretending to attempt to contact the customers? If someone orders next day delivery pls come out of your truck, walk to the door and pls ring the door bell . It is not fair or right to take the mail back to the office and make the customer come get it. I have never experienced this poor level of post office service ever in life. Rockwell do better! Absolute worst post office I've ever been to in my life. Employees take up all the parking and yes it is always full. Employees are rude and you always have some kind of "problem" with your package according to them. Save your time and trouble and go to the Harbor Mail in Rockwall. I am continually getting mail that is not addressed to my address or anyone at my address. I took mail back to the post office and asked to speak to a supervisor. This supervisor had posted on our neighborhood site that he would like to help with any problems. I was told that he would be there is a few minutes. After waiting for another 20 minutes, I asked if someone could see if he was coming or not. He could not be found!!! I left my name and phone number asking for a call at his convenience. It has been a couple of months and I still have not heard from anyone. The parking at the main post office is terrible. The majority of the spaces are taken up by the workers which does not leave any room for the customers to park. I have to go to the post office on a to pick up mail for my workplace. There are the same problems there regarding getting other people's mail that is addressed to other post office boxes. read more

I only go to this USPS if I have no other choice. The one in Rowlett at Rowlett Rd is far better. This one in Rockwall is terrible. The attitudes behind the counter need major help. Once I had a delivery sent to my house and I wasn't there to sign for it. Well, nobody at the USPS knew where my package was. Turns out they had hired a temp delivery driver and USPS had to wait and ask that person what they did with it. They asked me to come back the next day. I went back the next day and same thing. Nobody had a clue. After one week or waiting, I just decided to go back up there and find out where my package was. Luckily, a nice person was at the pickup door and found it for me. I had waited for a whole week for something that others could not find. If you don't have to go here, don't. Use UPS, FedEx, or go to another USPS. But avoid this one. read more

I have had a problem lately with the mail man leaving packages at the street on the ground by the mailbox instead of at my front door. Very unprofessional and could lead to multiple problems, like package getting stolen, damaged, or wet. How hard is it to drive up the house and leave at door? It takes a whole extra 2 minutes of your day. Come on USPS be more considerate of peoples packages. I don't think anyone would appreciate their expensive items being left out on the road. read more

Employee was extremely rude and unprofessional. I unknowingly prepaid for the wrong service, and was basically yelled at that I couldn't use that service to mail my package. This took me by surprise, so I asked questions about why and what service I could use to mail my package. She continued to have an attitude, so I asked for my package back so I could go to another location. I then contacted customer service and let them know about the interaction; the next was contacted by a supervisor who left me a voicemail saying that he spoke with employee, and her response was that I was being rude!!!! Wow! To add to that he went in to explain that the issue was with insufficient postage for the label, when the issue was the service (media vs first class, priority). The postage was correct for the label, however the service was not correct for the package. Media mail is only for educational materials, which was not stated on stamps.com where I purchased the label, so it was an honest mistake. A simple "I'm sorry, this service is only for x,y,z" would suffice. Just be warned, they are rude and the manager seems incompetent, "she says you were rude" ... um what? read more

Not much to say. I came n to get something weighed and send it on it's merry way. This location seemed to have everything you expect from a post office. I was ableto handle my transaction quickly and get on my way. The lady that works the counter most days has horrible customer service. She doesnt help with anything that is needed of you. She is horrible. Needs to be fired. I don't understand why our local newspaper delivery person can do a delivery hold correctly; however, the United States Postal Service can't manage it. Why do we have to jump through hoops to get our mail service going again every time we put our mail on a temporary hold? When we enter the temporary mail hold dates online we are prompted to enter a stop and a restart date. Why does your internal processing system completely ignore the restart date? This isn't the 1st time that the male person put our package key in a different Box. The 1st time my husband caught the male person and told them Hey that is my Box and she's like oh OK, it's oh OK, like nanchalant. Now today they put Our package key in the wrong Box again. But. But we checked it after we got a notification saying that our package was delivered. Why is it so hard to read names anames and addresses, when literally it is their job to assure to assure with packages that they get to the right person person. This is a problem not just with us but with our neighbors as well, our neighbor actually lost money because somebody else got her package and they couldn't track it. Now when they put a key in another person's mailbox due danother person's mailbox do they scan where the key went for the package? This past Saturday I watched our carrier drive right by both mine and my neighbors mailboxes with the flags up. They go to the end of the street, turn around, do the other side, then drive back by us again. Drove by twice and didn't bother to pickup our outgoing mail. I decided to go online and schedule a pickup because these packages needed to go out. This way they have to get out of the truck, walk to my porch to pick up the items the did not get Saturday. Rockwall Post Office, I do believe it is time you have your employees learn basic spelling and acronyms. I received a piece of mail returned for No Such Number. I called the recipient to verify address (yes it was correct). Second guessing myself I googled the address. I mistakenly assumed a Company that deals with mail and packages everyday would know when you write out the word LANE it is also the same as LN. This would be my only discrepancy from google on the address I put on my envelope. I am pretty sure this is learned in the early elementary school years and seeing how all streets for the most part have some kind of abbreviation or written word not easily forgotten. Please send all your employees to a class about Street Abbreviations. read more

I'm not going to lie, I dread doing any business with USPS because of the attitude of most of their employees. It's always bitter, rude, and anything but respectful. I'd have to say I never thought in my existence on planet earth that I would be writing a review for a USPS office, much less writing one in my car sitting in front of it before I leave. I had that good of an experience with Rhonda T. That works in there. This is my second time mailing something, and I have thankfully gotten her both times. She's super sweet, kind, and always willing to help me do anything she can to help me get whatever I need done. She seriously should be a role model for USPS employees. In my 25 years on this earth, I have never met such a helpful and caring USPS employee. Thank you Rhonda T. for being such an amazing person and an outstanding government employee. Don't don't come when you know there's gonna be a long line, during a time where you know all the last minute people will come and/or holiday seasons, and go off complaining how the line is too long. Tony at the Rockwall post office is the absolute worst. I called after speaking with the Plano post office (who couldn't be more helpful and friendly if they tried) and after explaining my problem to Tony he flippantly said your package probably is getting sent back. I asked if he would take down my tracking number and actually look before just telling me what he assumed they did. He kept arguing with me before finally going to supposedly look. When he came back he said yup it was sorted to go back. He refused to help any further. When I asked for a supervisor he blatantly refused to give me anyone's name or let me speak to anyone else. He insisted he was the boss and wouldn't give me anyone else's name. In my opinion when you are doing your job correctly you don't worry about someone talking to your superior because you are confident in your work and that you have done things by the book. The only reason someone refuses to let you talk to a higher up is because they know they are doing something wrong or acting in a way they shouldn't be. I will say Rhonda is probably the nicest person you'll ever meet though and the shining star there in the Rockwall post office, they are lucky to have her. read more

In the past 6 - 7 months they have lost or misplaced 4 mailed items (2 incoming to Rockwall and 2 leaving my home address in Rockwall) of mine. The two coming into Rockwall took anywhere from 14 days to 30 days to be received. The 2 out going items (IRS 2017 tax return and a very large bank deposit) have still not been received 9 days after being mailed. These 2 items were going on opposite sides of the US. read more

I have lived in the Dallas area for 24 years. Have had addresses in Plano, Dallas, Kaufman rural, Rowlett and now Rockwall. I have been receiving mail at this address since December of 2017. Thought everything was going well until August. Since then we have missed checks, driver's license and parcels. The last package was attempted to deliver at 7 pm and no one to receive package. No notice was left. The next day the package was out for delivery again. This time they said there was a problem with the address. The same address from the previous day. When we went to complain they found it at the office. Now I received notice from a shipper that a package I ordered the 6th of October had been left on a porch on Nov. 26. No package, no notice. Are they going to be responsible for the $40 I'm out. There is no porch here only an office door that faces a busy main thoroughfare. Can't trust the Rockwall post office. read more

Don't come here if you don't have to. I was told that my wedding invitations wouldn't go through the machine if they were hand cancelled/hand stamped. So I sat in the post office for an hour stamping them all myself. A week later I got some random ones in my own box. I went in to find out where all the other invitations went and was told that I was given the wrong instructions and everything goes through the machine no matter what. When I asked what they can do about it, they said they can't do anything and just hope for the best. read more
