I went there so much, he and I were always on a first-name basis with each other. And although he's now not there as much as he used to be, the others who are tend to be just as accurate and trustworthy as he once was. Ernie, who was the person behind the counter, always use to make jokes when I use to walk up to him for a stamp, and we just got along great together. It was rare when he ever made a mistake in the mailing system. I'm sorry I couldn't describe the factors that came into being placed in this review a little better. Maybe, as Ernie cross-trains people, the people who he trains could actually help bring that enlightened sense/spirituality to this small kiosk in the Mall once again, and therefore bring his sense of humor out to bring more people to use this booth once again. And what's best, packages that were mailed under him, never once ever got lost or delayed due to his actions, so something had gone well under his direction. He was always "on top of his game" here. Thanks Ernie and USPS crew for making my days and life a little brighter. You always have been a light in my eye, and will continue to shine brightly through the many years I have yet to use in store for the remainder of my life.

The last time I ksent something 2 day delivery with additional charges - it took 4 days... no refund, no apology, nothing! Is this delivery supposed to include or exclude USPS taking 15 days to go from Indianapolis to New Jersey? Then, it is an hour away and it will take 3-5 days to get to me? NO wonder the USPS is broke and failing - poor processes, poor communication, poor shipping/handling processes, inefficiency, poor accountability, poor customer service..... I will be requesting FedEx exclusively in the future. Time to boycott USPS and demand better service for the rates they are charging !!! Privatize the mail service - the feds can't handle it! This DOES NOT RELECT upon the local Red Hook mail deliverers - they have gone over and beyond to deliver packages and mail to our home this past month, as we have been not been able to do it ourselves. We appreciate the effort it takes to provide high quality service, which this clearly was not. No Christmas gifts tomorrow for that family member! So sad!

If you're a young'un, and you were born after Stamps.com and Amazon and FedEx, a post office is where you used to have to go to send and receive packages, which you can still do today! Amazing, isn't it? You can also buy stamps, get money orders, apply for a passport, keep a PO box, send in safe and secure mail-in ballots to exercise your right to participate in a free and fair democracy, and more. Personally, I sent a box of old baby clothes to a cousin, and the folks behind the counter were efficient and helpful, and a credit to the fine organization that is the USPS. (No thanks to Postmaster General DeJoy, who we will hopefully see gone shortly.)
