Not only is this Post Office everything you would imagine from a picturesque small town, it probably already already featured in story written about it by at least a dozen novelists. Good, friendly service, and just a real hometown feel to it. So lets say you've mailed your postcards from the road to loved ones across the country then you hop back in the car. Transaction done, right? Wrong! Wrong because you've left your pencil case (for lack of a better term) behind but you don't realize it until you're outside San Francisco and you really can't go back. So you call. And guess what, they have your pencil case that holds all your pencils and that one super special pen that you "don't leave home without." How do they get it back to you? Well using their very own US Postal Service, of course. So that was my experience. The experience of a post-card writing nerd who left some pencils behind and had them mailed back to my home.

We get a free little post box, $10 for the key. There are lots of parking and it is right next to a hotdog place and an espresso ice cream place. They also hold your packages here, just mentioned the PO Box. There is a box on the outside for mail slot and inside you can deposit packages and letters without having to go to the counter. The lobby area is open 24 hours to check the mail, but the counter service is limited.

The postal worker was kind enough to stamp each of my letters and postcards with the Little River, CA postmark (a service and feature that is getting harder to come by in post offices). In the meantime, they have had to replace these packages because I have not received them. Will I receive the one they say will be here tomorrow (December 16, 2024)? Does someone need a Christmas present for their girlfriend or wife?? I am 65 and permanently disabled. I depend on the services of delivery people. I cannot hop down to the post office because someone doesn't feel like delivering it. I have also had packages thrown halfway down my driveway.
