When I asked him why he was doing that, he mumbled something I couldn't understand then asked if that was all that was in the box (3 boxes of urinary incontinence pads) and I said yes. I was slightly embarrassed because of what they were. He handed the receipt to me and taped the box back up and put the shipping label on it. This is actually the 2nd time he's opened a box I was shipping with an authorized return to Amazon. I'm 73 yrs old and this is very frustrating, confusing, and today, a little upsetting. This store has been my go to place for shipping for years. It is convenient for me and until recently, great customer service. If this is standard procedure now for this store, I will have to find another way of shipping.

Since there were a lot of dollars depending on this, I reluctantly decided to look for a tax professional to help me out. I chose Sommers Tax Services almost entirely based on the fact that they actually have a website with some decent information on it, unlike a lot of tax preparers in the area. I'm so glad I did! Ralph was friendly and knowledgeable, and I felt immediately at ease with him. I explained my situation to him and he was immediately able to clear up some of the questions I had. We went through my documentation together and he talked me through the various credits and deductions and my eligibility for them as he completed my federal and local tax returns. He could have e-filed my returns immediately at the end of my appointment, but he noticed a weird discrepancy in my W-2 (which I would never have noticed), and suggested I talk to my employer's payroll department about it first. Since I haven't used a tax preparer/advisor before, I am not sure how their rates compare with other businesses providing these services, but I felt that the fee was totally reasonable. I got great service and really appreciate the peace of mind of having a tax person who I feel comfortable going to with my questions. I would recommend Sommers Tax Services to anyone filing their personal taxes, although I think they specialize in small businesses. I'd especially recommend them to people like me who feel their tax situation is getting a little too complicated to handle themselves and need someone to talk things out with. I wish I would have gone to see them in 2010 - I could have had a lower tax bill with some pre-planning!

Currently the place is a disaster and surprised the health department hasn't shut them down. The locker rooms a littered with trash, dust and mold in shower. Who knows about the pools. Sauna's floor has never been cleaned and definitely growing someone science project under the wood boards. I think upper management should've thought out the consequences prior to releasing the cleaning company because the Y management is doing a piss poor job with maintenance and cleaning of the facility. Truly wonder what would happen if the health department would come in . My guess they would shut them down to get up to par with health safety . Clean the facilities please.

The Colonie Post Office is mine, even though I don't live in the town of Colonie. Its address also totally overwhelmed my navigation, but I got a lovely tour of other side streets. This is a larger post office, more function but also a bit gloomier. I appreciated the automatic opening doors, as I expect those carrying in parcels also would. The employees here are certainly helpful, but maybe not quite as enthusiastic (though my regular postal carrier, who I assume works here, is quite friendly and helpful. Hey, as long as I get done what I need, no problems.
