Omg what a bunch of bogans! I paid for a post office box at this location. I had to leave town to take care of things. I come back 3 bloody weeks later to find no mail. Those bloody bogans never removed the sticker from my box saying it's closed. So here I am having paid for this for 6 months and all my mail has been returned. To add insult to injury all the mail was coming from important places such as the state and my bank. I have no way to tell if anything else important has been retuned. Makes you want to hit someone with your yoga mat but that's not zen and bad karma so instead I took a moment to mediate. Seriously avoid. I understand if they hadn't been able to do it the first 3 days after I paid them for my box for 6 months in advance, heck one week but three weeks bloody hell! read more

I don't understand why I have to write a review like this.... but I want everyone to know about the risks of this place. I ordered a phone online, and it was already sent from the person I purchased from. I went online and tracked my package. I was pretty surprised to find out there was an attempted delivery on Aug. 14th, since I never got a call about my package and neither did my brother (His number is registered on the intercom since I live in an apartment building). We never got a notice in our mailbox, or the front of the lobby door, which is what we usually see for other people's missed packages. I went online and scheduled a redelivery, which was supposed to be for today, Aug. 23rd. I got a call from them asking me what the package was... so I called them back, gave them my tracking number, and any other information they needed. It really annoyed me that the person on the other line told me she couldn't find the package. And she's gonna have to check with the carriers and call me back. I waited for their call, but I never got a call back. I called them at 12:45PM(Aug.23rd), but they never picked up, and now that they're closed, I'm wondering where's my call back. I'm hoping to update this review once I get my package(If I ever get it). read more

Sorry, gotta update because management needs to get the hint that things are going downhill here. Unfortunate - because the postal workers behind the counter - they're very helpful when you (finally) make it to the counter. Still very patient, they still answer all of your questions and deal with tourists and whatnot with a smile. The issue here is how this place is being managed. For example (from the day I was there) - I was fourth or fifth in line - and the line grew...and grew...and grew behind me. The line didn't move. (1) Why were there only TWO workers behind the counter on a busy Saturday morning with a line that literally went out the front door? (2) Of the two available windows - why was one worker only handling INTERNATIONAL shipping - when the line was a mile long? Where was your supervisor to check what's going on at the front area and deal with this problem? (3) Of the two available windows - one worker (a nice asian lady) was working on a money order or something where she needed to use the computer - and says "Oh, the system is down now... will have to fill out the form manually (and leaves her section) and is dealing with that customer forever - and yet, the only other window open was oblivious to the fact that his co-worker's system shut down - and kept allowing "international shipping" to form a line on the side and only helped THEM while the main line stood there with no one helping us? This went on for 15, 20, 25 minutes while I stood in the main line. International shipping - they take FOREVER to take care of each customer (due to them not knowing how to fill out a international form, customs form and then the workers having to input everything into the system, etc). I see another tourist with a HUGE box kind of wobble to the front of the line, looking around and then saying "Is there a special line for International?" The worker goes "YES, THIS LINE HERE, JUST STAND BY THE LINE" The international customer that he was helping FINALLY is done, and the tourist that just got there moved up to the counter. Again, about 10 min. pass by with this customer. All the while, the other counter is STILL helping her customer as she MANUALLY fills out forms. Then here comes the next international shipper (this time, a couple). They're looking overwhelmed looking at the line, and I can hear them looking scared and whispering to each other "Are we really allowed to wait at the front here?" Then the guy calls up this couple to the counter to help them. This is when I've had enough. I spoke up (I would rarely do this but it was THAT bad. The people in line got very quiet when I did LOL) I said, "Are you serious? - Do you not see how long we have a been waiting in this line?? You only have ONE WINDOW available to take care of people because the other window is practically useless because her computer is down - and you're still calling up ONLY international shippers to your window? I haven't moved up in this line for the past 30 minutes because you're only helping international shippers. This is ridiculous!" The line was literally out the front door - the glass door bumped open so the line could continue. Mind you, this is Saturday. The window/counter is only open for a few hours. So the guy at the "International Shipment Only" hears me, finally looks up, looks at the long long long line (like he didn't see the line) and goes "Oh...? Oh yeah. This window accepts all shipments then" So as soon as he announced that he is no longer only dealing with international shipping - some girl brings a box to the front of the line and is thinking she could line up next to us. The worker tells her, she needs to get in line because he's handling customers from the main line. The girl was so upset - sorry, no special line for you today. Maybe fill out all the forms and make sure the box is taped while you're waiting? ::::: applause :::::: Finally, it was my turn now that the windows are accepting ALL shippers - and I got the lady that had her computer system down - and she whispered and apologized for all of what is happening. I felt like going "maybe you should have told your co-worker sitting RIGHT NEXT TO YOU that your computer system is down so he would have known not to just accept international shipping?" She didn't communicate what had happened so the other worker had no idea until I spoke up. Her excuse was, it was Saturday, and that they didn't have enough workers. Where was the supervisor through all this ridiculousness? By the way, when you come out of the area with your little cart and ask what we're there for and fills out a little checklist for us - that does nothing. We still get asked the same questions at the counter. What we're here for, do we have any hazardous, fragile items in the package, do we want extra insurance....do we want to buy stamps today...? They don't read the little white checklist. Get it together managers! read more

The line can be out the door sometimes, but it moves fairly fast. Very convenient , plenty of parking out front. Located pretty close to Hale Koa and Hilton Hawaiian village hotels. read more

I have to say that the staff at this Post Office is amazing. I had to do a double-take they were so friendly. Is this really the US Postal Service? Maybe it's the sunshine, but the service here is great. Lines can be long but extra folks appear and speed things up. If you are in Waikiki and buy too much stuff to fit into your suitcase, stop by and send it home. The pleasant people at this office will certainly be helpful. read more

I came to the post office to mail a few things back home. The staff was friendly and helped me pick the right boxes, supplied the tape and was very friendly. Contrary to most post offices they had people working behind the counter for quick processing and two people on the floor helping with labeling, box selection and weighing. Having the folks on the floor was very helpful and made for a pleasant, not stressful experience. read more

I rode TheBus from our hotel to this post office in Waikiki on a Friday afternoon to mail a large flat rate box to ourselves in California so we wouldn't have to check a bag on the flight home. The bus stop is super close to the entrance and there is also a large parking lot in front. It might've been a fluke that there were so many open spots on that afternoon but it's not like there are just one or two spots - chances look good for snagging a spot if you drive there. The various flat rate box and envelope options are there for pickup right inside the front doors, so convenient with no need to go all the way inside and they had a ton of them - and I think I remember that there was packing tape and other box options for sale further inside. Food Pantry on Kuhio also sells packing tape (tape roll and little tear-off holder/roller combined) - that's where we picked up ours - it's open from 6am to 1am. I was lucky that there was no line inside at all - unbelievable. I had already printed the postage at the USPS automated kiosk at the Safeway store on Kapahulu so the box just had to be dropped off. The agent named Alice who welcomed me and scanned the box and gave me a receipt and made sure I knew the tracking number was absolutely one of the most kind and friendly USPS agents I've ever encountered - such aloha and a very nice impression of the island and this USPS branch. read more

Consumers Beware! Leiane is the absolute rudest and most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my entire career. After 36 or my packages were marked as "delivered" according to USPS.com on the same day that I mailed them, I contact USPS multiple times to see what the situation was. When I finally called this post office, which I found from one of the delivered addresses, I spoke with Leiane who knew what I was talking about. It had been 4 days since my packages were supposed to have shipped and she and her staff decided to hold my packages until they could contact me. Yes it was my fault for not packaging them large enough (the postage payment was correct, the package size was below standards). The protocol, which i have learned after this nightmare is that the packages should be send back to the sender. Instead, Leiane and her team decided to hold the packages until I decided to call their post office to see what was going on. Long story short, Leiane said she would call me back, never did, I called her after 2 hours and she said she didn't give it attention yet, then called me back an hour after that and said she "went out of her way to contact me". WHAT A JOKE! When I asked to speak to the manager she gave me the run around again. Then instead of expediting my packages to me she could only send them first class mail. WOW Luckily, USPS called me back right when I hung up, or more like she hung up on me, with Leiane. They were stunned with her behavior and with the fact that they marked my package wrong from the start. Marking as delivered was WRONG from the start! I also found out that guess what, there was a manager there, but Leiane refused to let me talk to him. Ive never been spoken to with such attitude or given such the run around. Never again will I deal with this place ever again. Reminder: Don't deal with Leiane! Go somewhere else!! read more

I have been calling this post office for hours now. It just rings off the hook and no one answers. The reason I am calling is because I paid for a very pricy item that has been lost in the mail. The tracking says it has been delivered to me last week but it is no where in sight and there is no slip saying I got a package. So do I just eat the cost because I used USPS? This is unacceptable and I'm going down there tomorrow to make a scene and demand an explination. The fact they don't pick up the phone just adds insult to injury. I also hate going to this location because it takes 45min to talk to anyone due to the line of tourist mailing stuff out. I'll never use USPS again. This is the second time they screwed me over. Last time I dealt with them (Miami Biscayne USPS) they sent my package to my neighbords and told me to go get it from him. Isn't it a crime to give peoples mail away or tamper with it? The people at this facility are extremely rude. I'm guessing she is the supervisor but Leanne was so unhelpful and showed absolutely zero customer service. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and when I asked if she could merely check to see if my package was at this location, in which I also had a notice with the location, package number, etc. written on it she said No were closed. I looked at my phone and it was 4:32pm and they were still servicing 3 other customers. How hard would it have been to simply check to see if the package was there or to not be so insincere, short, and overall rude. So my boyfriend didn't get his package delivered today, 10/25/2016, and I've been trying to call the post office to see if it just didn't get delivered or the box didn't fit in the mailbox since he lives in an apartment building. I called them for an hour straight with no answer, just their voice mail saying that they're experiencing a high call volume so I can leave a message. I left one just in case, and kept calling. Then they decided to answer the phone and hang up immediately. I CAN HEAR THE PHONE BEING PICKED UP AND HUNG UP. Don't deal with this post office if you don't have to. They're customer service is horrible and they don't know how to deal with customers. Trust and believe i'll be there tomorrow morning to see what happened to the package and they will have answers for me. read more

Convenient for a Waikiki resident with ample parking and really friendly customer service. I come here often to ship care packages and prefer this location to the main one near the airport. What else can I say? It's a post office. I don't think anyone really likes going to the USPS but at least here, it's not an awful experience. read more

My mail stopped getting forwarded after I submitted my change of address over a month ago. For about a week it was working fine, then mail forwarding stopped and I have not received ANY mail forwarded to my new address in the last 4 weeks. I have tried to have this issue resolved in the following ways: 1) Called and left messages both with a person and on the machine - no callbacks. 2) Submitted a help request online - took over 4 days to receive a response that ultimately said I need to submit a change of address, which I had already done. 3) Talked to my old postman who said he would check for me. He took a postcard that had my old address and told me to write my new address on it so he could reference it for forwarding. A day later, it was left in my mailbox of my old address. I guess he just re-delivered it?? I cant seem to get this issue resolved so Im hoping someone who sees this Yelp review can help. read more

If you need to mail something quickly this isnt the place, nor is any other post office. This location was very clean and well sticked stocked with supplies. If you have the opportunity use the automated postal machine it will say you time and is very eas to use and is almost always not being used. This location offers paid parking if youd like to park close to the shopping strip. The prices from parking vary by day and time. Overall this is a post office so there isnt much I can say. read more

What I like most about this post office is that there is an automated kiosk for printing postage and accepting small to medium sized packages. What I think could be further enhanced about this office is that I wish I did not have to buy a new roll of tape or bring my own tape each time I want to send out a big box. If trying to send or receive something from the mainland, USPS cannot be beat. Overall, I think the location is very convenient. read more

I was at the Post Office at 6:10 AM as instructions said to pick up parcel. One other person was there and said he had already rang bell for service, I pushed the bell. Another Customer arrived and pushed the bell, it is now 6:25, first Customer left. I kept pushing bell until 6:40 then left after 30 minute wait. Now the post office can return parcel at their expense, ever wonder why the Post Office is loosing money. If there isn't enough personnel to handle the Customers, don't advise Customers to be there at a time no one is available. Ron V. read more

A really nice and friendly post office, a complete full featured USPS with all the services, post boxes, hold offs, and other PO box services that you can imagine. Busy yet peaceful, located in a nice corner of Waikiki with ample parking space, something which is super rare for Waikiki or Honolulu in general. And the staffs are very friendly. read more

Just stood in line to ask general questions on address forwarding since usps.com website did not offer all the answers to satisfy my injuries. Maybe I chose the bad rush hour, but it took 20 minutes before I got serviced at the counter. To make things worst, I ended up with a rude postman (thin Asian guy) who seemed stressed out from the long line and took his anger out on me. He told me to go and fill out the form on the side and bring it back so that he can help the next person. Is he ignorant or what, since I already had a completed form in my hand. Why isn't he listening to the customer (me) and just dictating his thoughts one-way. When he realized that I had the completed form, he tried to cover up his stupidity by saying that I can request for a address forwarding on line. Just say SORRY. DON'T MAKE EXCUSES. If you don't want to provide a human service, just quit your job. Oh well, I am glad that today is happy TGIF and Monday is another federal holiday. Avoid getting service from this man. USPS in this area is bad. USPS does not come to your door nor knocks or rings bell with parcels but just leaves a notice in your postbox. Filing a complaint with corporate office as that should not be happening. The Waikiki post office doesn't answer and when they do they hang up right away. Terrible customer service! read more

The post office is ok for many reason, good location, close parking, mostly nice associates. Today 1:35 pm I had a very bad experience here though. I was waiting in the line, I was the next customer, behind me 3 other people was waiting. Two clerks were behind the desks, one of them handled the customer who was prior to me and the other clerk was just talked stories to a other customer. They already finished the transaction, but the clerk kept her up and she just talk talk talk. The clerk - name Mei or Mie - saw me, but never stopped to telling stories. I waited like 3-4 minutes and I asked them to finish the transaction and start to process me. Both agreed - customer and Mei - I am right, but they DID NOT stop to tell stories!! , so an other clerk came out from the back office and started to process with me. She finished my transaction in two minutes and I left. You will not believe it, but Mei STILL WAS WITH the previous customer telling stories, while the other 3 people were waiting in the line quietly. I think Mei should appreciate that she has a decent gov. Job in Hawaii and start to do what she paid for: provide average customer service at least. read more
