It has been convenient shipping items from other post offices in Hawaii and being able to withdraw cash when paying debit. I often buy local souvenirs and ship them to my friends who live on the Mainland. The Saratoga USPS would be my usual go-to place but today, I found this one and it is now my favorite post office. This post office is located on the second floor of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza (not Waikiki Business Plaza/H&M/Ross). Just take the escalator from the front entrance (next to Starbucks) and once on the 2nd floor, turn left. Go straight down and it's on the left side (before Heidi's). It is a small place and not crowded. There is only one staff, a middle-older Asian man, who was soooo friendly and helpful. He did everything quickly and accurately, and I was on my way out soon. Ok. Who even reviews the Post Office? Does anyone even mail letters anymore? Or packages? First of all, the answer is, I do. So here's the thing. They are hands down more reliable than other shipping agencies. Also, why am I reviewing this office? Folks, if you're visiting/ staying in Waikiki and you have souvenirs to buy, why pack it back in your luggage? Ship it back in their flat rate boxes. This USPS store is located on the second floor of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. Right after you get off the escalator, once you turn left, you'll see Heidi's in big letters straight off that turn, and you'll know the USPS store is right next to that store. One awesome perk to this USPS store is it's easily hidden, so not too many people know about it; therefore, lines won't be as crazy compared to the main post offices. But a disadvantage to this post office though is it's tiny and run by one man. The guy working was super friendly. I had packed my large flat-rate box before I had gotten there, but didn't realize how heavy it was until I had to carry it there. The counter top was a bit high, but the man was really nice and helped me lift my box up to the counter. I thought he was gonna scold me as I literally packed that box where if it weren't for tape, I highly doubt my box would have been able to stay together lol. But he just asked the basic questions if there were anything fragile and what not and that was it. I was in and out with lots of time to spare as I was doing this on my lunch break. I wish I knew about this place couple months ago as the main post office was ridiculously long on a day and time I thought everyone should have been at work haha. read more

This place is not super easy to find (thanks to someone else's post it was easier). It is on the second floor of the shopping center to the left of the escalators next to Heidis. Love the post office.. but post offices themselves are dingy and dated.. and going broke. Fed Ex offices should be a model for USPS, need copy machines, fax and computers for rent. I am sure you thought of that before. I would offer this suggestion Mr. Postmaster.. create the POSTMAN CAFE.. each post office should be a coffee shop.. it would save the postal service... some nice tables outside the post office.. there is plenty room.. could be a social place for people to sit and enjoy the view of the Japanese lined up at Eggs and Things.. it has shade.. locals who walk to the post office many times a week.. could talk about things they have in common, make the postal service more society conscious.. increase revenue.. innovate, create.. make money not just provide great services. read more

Located on the fourth floor of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza (next to Tenaka's), this is relatively new- was not here last year. Nice complete setup here with two employees with service from monday to saturday. I don't think that I've seen such a compact USPS location with gift wrapping, tissue paper, and gift bags to boot! I saw postcards available for purchase, as well. Also, large boxes are available to purchase at around $4 (if you need larger boxes than flat rate shipping boxes). My husband was considering shipping since luggage fees are expensive $25 per checked bag. Another convenient location in Waikiki. read more

Nice, quiet, neat, clean Post Office in Waikiki. The two postal workers at the counter were personable, helpful, and efficient. They helped me save a few bucks on postage by letting me swap out the contents of my box right at the counter! Essentially, I had the place to myself. Ok, there was a woman ahead of me and they chatted with her. Then a guy came in after me and they were nice to him. It's on the 4th floor of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza so after you mail your packages you can shop or get a bite to eat. read more

DO NOT USE FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. You will waste your valuable time and breath, go the extra 10 minutes to Saratoga. I was waiting in line while one poor soul attempted to use their crappy laptop for intentional when the person in front of me asked the woman working about international shipping and the worker looked like she had just been asked to hit a puppy- frightened and as if it would pain her. Other than that her customer service was incredibly lacking. There is a friendly but not overly nice make shop keep who's kind of helpful sometimes. Do not use this location unless you are sending a pre wrapped and addressed letter or postcard. read more

Tiniest USPS ever. Super convenient for anyone in Waikiki. Also i get the best service here compared to other USPS locations. The man let's me use his tape for packages lol.
