All seemed great until the shabby furniture was delivered. The we found customer service calls go straight to voice mail. When I spoke with Krista she just talked over top me and wanted us to wait 9 more months for them to try again. Worst experience buying furniture in my life. Some of the other moving companies I contacted never returned my voicemail. We got my move scheduled a few weeks before it was to happen. This was very easy with me discussing the details with Pam as well as texting her photos of the rooms and larger items. There were some blips in the delivery of the Pod and I am so grateful that Pam was able to reschedule with such short notice. Our move was a bit more complex. Double D's had to meet us at a location in Camp Hill to pick up a truck full of furniture. This was brought to our Harrisburg home. And then this as well as everything in our house was loaded into a 16 foot pod. Part of the reason I picked double D's was because of their glowing reviews and their ability to load a POD very tight. They exceeded expectations and used every bit of the pod from floor to ceiling. (A 16 foot POD is for a house up to 1400 ft.². This of course doesn't include your basement, attic, and garage.) They did an amazing job! We had a few items that did not fit and we expected this because a 16" pod is not as big as you expect it to be. (No big deal because we will drive them at another date to our new location.) They then drove these items back to the Camp Hill address where we could store them. The price was very fair. I can't say enough good things about this group.

The parking lot is huge and there is no problem. The courts are well maintained. The space between courts is manageable. There is a stadium court with bleachers. We didn't play there. The facility has Porta potty, or you have to go inside the facility at the main entrance to use the restrooms.the locker rooms and restrooms are very nicely maintained. The staff is very friendly, and then I used one of the places to use my laptop and got the wifi password as well. There is a pro shop that carries a lot of tennis essentials and racquets, a stringing machine too. They do carry occasional racquets on sale.

As a Hempfield resident for 15 years I've had many interactions with the Rec Center. While I've…read morenever been a member, I've attended free classes when they were available, went on a bus trip they offered, had my daughter in the after school childcare program they run, as well as a dance class. More recently I've paid a per person daily fee to use the pool, although it does also allow you to use the entire facility. One thing I will say is it is aways crowded, no matter what time or where you are in the building. Classes fill up quick. Swimming classes are booked several months in advance, and the lot is always full. One thing that is disappointing, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 is the before/after school program. While when my daugher was in school it was available to any parent that needed it. Now, they have limited spots and no opening. My grandson has been on a wait list now since August and it's now Feb. That sucks for working parents! And it could very well be a sign of the times post covid, with employee shortages. The indoor pool is wonderful. I have yet, even after all these years been to the one outside in season but I'm sure it's equally as impressive. The indoor pool is large, and while you do need to check the schedule for free swim times, they do have it roped off for laps. I believe it goes to 13' and has a diving board. There's tables/chairs around the pool to put your stuff and a changing area in that area. There is also locker rooms down the hallway. The ladies has a dry sauna, showers, and a machine that rings out your suits. I especially like that pool toys, floats, and swim aids are allowed, as I take my three young grandchildren, none of which can swim. You do need to bring your own towels, etc. I do think the pricing is high for membership as well as a $10/per person daily rate if like me you just stop in to use the pool. The $10/pp was firm, even for my one grandson who is an infant. Still a great place to patronize. Check their website because they are very community minded and some of their special events do not require membership although they might have a small fee.

U-gro has caring teachers who lead a strong curriculum that teaches not only "book learning" but social development skills like manners, respect, and how to interact with other children and adults. We were lucky to have Miss Margie in the Bears Room and Miss Jenn in the Ducklings room and we couldn't have been more thrilled with their professionalism, caring, and personalities. We could definitely tell that our child loved being there and was truly benefiting from her time spent at this center. The director, Julie, is so friendly, and runs an outstanding program. The facility itself is spectacular - a level of cleanliness and order that I have never seen anywhere else. Absolutely hands down worth the cost (and this is not something I say lightly, this was a stretch for us to pay the weekly fee here, and I would gladly pay it again). The only bad thing I can say about U-gro is that it will definitely ruin all other daycare for you. Nothing else will measure up.
