Whereas the mailman represented the post office in a negative light, the official who spoke with me lent credibility as he personally spoke to this disrespectful employee. I wish I had asked the name of this official as I want his supervisor to be apprised of what an asset he is to the post office; and hope he is being compensated commiserate with his compassion and professionalism. Personable and knowledgable staff, attentive to the customers' needs, and THANK YOU for the 'no cell phone' policy for the main interior lobby/counter, ensuring customers have to give the same attention they get (and not hold up everyone else in line, come pre-Christmas crunch time). A quality control check is very much standard procedure. Being music, it was important that the copies are usable. (I have had files printed before that were apparently reduced when scanned and I wanted to make sure these files were going to be OK.) After getting a song and dance that it would create more work (honestly, I thought that was his job!), I asked if there was a problem printing the test pages and the answer was "no". But that didn't stop the incessant arguments about paper sizes and anything else he could make a case of. It was totally uncalled for and I felt I was being harassed. I finally had to say I wasn't there for an argument, just to have my files printed. It was a nasty experience and I will think twice, nay thrice, before ever deciding to step foot in this place again. If UPS is going to hire such unqualified help, they need to up their supervision.
