The man was very rude and short with me. Plus online says they're closed when they were open. He said he didn't have anything for posters and to go find a box that might fit. I quickly grabbed one and he told me to go fill it out and go to back of line. luckily I knew to ask about the tape. he would have led me to believe i had all I need and send me to the back of the line again to buy tape. not going to ruin my day, but I won't be coming back thanks to him. nor will anyone I know. read more

this is my go to spot for mailing packages . the staff is quick and friendly . my only issue is that during the open hours on Saturday when they were supposed to be open 10-3 they were closed . no sign anywhere explaining why . the internet and website showed they were open but nothing and on top of that , the parcel drop box was locked . we could access the self service kiosk but without the drop box it's useless. . I tried going to the ups store but of course my we code label didn't work there . only at usps . Very frustrating when I assured a buyer that I would ship on Saturday and now have to wait until Tuesday because of Labor Day. . Otherwise it's a great convenient place read more

The Cooper Point Post Office is wonderful. The staff is excellent. They are very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They work hard and are patient with bad customers. My mail is always posted on time. The lobby is well maintained. There are usually supplies available in the PO Box area if not always available in the lobby. What I like the most about this Post Office is the location. It is in the same strip center as the Goodwill and Habitat. I can visit all three in the same trip. This post office is very small and offers everything that larger facilities have. The waiting line was long and there were only two clerks working behind the counter. The post office gets a fair ration of crap from the general public ("helloooo, Newman!"). But I'm here to compliment our West Olympia PO. This station is for posting mail/packages and picking up if you have a post office box. It's not a distribution center like the main Oly branch. They sell express mail boxes and other mailing supplies too. The staff here couldn't be nicer. It reminds me of my boyhood days where the postal workers knew you by name. ("Oh, you're the guy getting x rated 8mm films...heh heh..."). Getting dumped on? Maybe at some postal stations but not the West side one. read more

I have never been treated particularly well by the employees here, but I had an interesting incident in the past couple of weeks. My husband and I purchased an RV. He took the last payment to the post office and got a USPS money order, got an envelope for it, filled out the envelope, licked and sealed it, bought postage right there in the post office, and had it put into outgoing mail that very day, one step right after another in quick succession during the same visit. He didn't ensure the money order because he actually thought, "It isn't ever going to be anywhere that isn't in the hands of USPS besides into the gentleman's mail box, and you have to have an ID that matches it to cash it anyway." Let me just say that I will never, ever trust USPS to work that way again. That would be absolutely naive. Over 5 business days later (8 calendar days), our payment had still not arrived at the seller's home via USPS. My husband went into the same post office, THIS post office, and the SAME larger woman who had SOLD him the money order and helped him ready it to ship was the SAME woman whom he brought his concern to that the money order had never reached its destination (especially since it was $400). This part, I feel, is very important because soon after that, an interesting thing happened. Four business days later, (six calendar days) the envelope with the money order inside finally arrived at our seller's home, which is roughly ONLY 50 miles from the post office that it was bought at(Olympia to Kent). The envelope itself had been CUT OPEN and then a small piece of tape put on it to "seal" the envelope. There was no note from USPS about transit damage or any explanation of the situation. DO NOT TRUST that woman or this post office branch with your valuables or money. There are hella shady things happening there. read more

I typically come in to grab a box and tape my own shipping label but when the PO doesn't ever keep their boxes and envelopes stocked, forcing you to stand in line, wasting time JUST to ask for a box, it's very frustrating. This has happened on numerous occasions now. read more

I've had a P.O. Box here for over a year now. Pros: -Small with plenty of parking -Well lit at night -Decent pricing for boxes Cons: -Cranky workers -Long lines at peak hours, really long. Is this where Kenmore hangs!? Once I didn't pick up my mail for a few months and they held it all for me in the back. I got ever piece of mail, even junk postcards. Sometimes the employees can be a little cranky, but to be honest sending packages can be very confusing- especially out of the country. I wish they didn't rush me and just explained a few things. Hands down the best post office in the Lacey/Oly area. The main lobby is always well stocked with all the priority mail boxes and envelopes. I needed some bubble wrap today and was able to package and mail everything within ten minutes. During the busy lunch hour. The staff at this Post Office are super awesome and helpful. It gets crazy busy during lunch and after work times, avoid.

This branch is located in the Capital Village shopping center, next to the former Big Lots! location. The station is small but has plenty of boxes available for rental. The thing I like the best about this location is that they have an Automated Postal Center. This is so convenient when you don't have time to wait in line or if you're at the post office after hours. You can buy stamps and mail packages without going to the desk, so it's a real time saver. I didn't notice a drive-up mail collection bin in the parking lot, but there is a collection bin in front of the entrance. There is also ample parking. read more

I shipped a video game system to a buyer in Minnesota but during shipment the buyer reversed the payment. When I contacted the Kenmore post office they charged me a $20 fee to get the package sent back. When the box arrived I came to the store and I was shocked to see the box was extremely beat up. It almost looked as though the handlers used it for a soccer ball. I complained to the counter person, and he looked very indifferent and offered NO APOLOGY. He simply said I could either accept the package or he would take possession and sell it. I guess maybe it's time for the Post office to disappear because if they simply don't care about there jobs, and are incapable of taking responsibility for their mistakes than they should not be in business. read more

I went In here to simply ship a few Christmas presents that were nicely wrapped. When I got to the counter I asked for a box to put them in which shouldn't have been a problem. I was in disbelief about what happened next. The guy behind the counter looked at my present and poked a few holes in it and said it wouldn't survive in the truck. That's why I asked for a box. He went and got a box for me and instead of being nice about it he simply shoved the 2 presents in the box that didn't fit because the box wouldn't close all the way and started taping the box saying "I'm not doing this for you!" He was rude and unprofessional and treated me poorly. I left feeling so embarrassed that I'll never be back. I filled out a survey online and reported what happened. I was too embarrassed to talk to a supervisor. From now on I'll go to the UPS store where they take care of your items with care and know how to treat a customer right. read more

Everyday I watch the mail person drive 40+ down our road. We have children and there is a daycare Kat corner from us. Anyway, I order stuff online plus have family ship items to us. I had a package that was suppose to be delivered today, watched the mail person drive on by. So I check my tracking and it says infact its on the mail carrier scheduled for the delivery today at 11:22. Nope they didn't drop it off. This is not the first time. They need to slow down driving in residential areas, I know they are busy but an accident could happen.
