They told me it'll take two days for the mail to arrive. It's been five days and my sister still hasn't received the mail. Went to get passport because supposedly they have walk in service not knowing you needed to get there an hour an half before they open to get a number. By the time I got there at 945 (they open at 930) they had run out of numbers. They told me I had to come back the next day and be there by 800 to make sure to get a number. I went straight to Santa Fe springs post office was out if there within an hour. Do yourself a favor and forget about even trying to go to paramount. Just go straight to Santa Fe springs. Customer service is so much better. I'd give paramount zero stars, if yelp let me. read more

Went in to do my daughter's passport and was told the person who takes care of applicants did not go in because they were ill. My frustration wasn't with the person who called in sick but how a place can only have ONE person designated to taking care of passport applicants. Also, why publish hours of service if they are not going to abide by them? According to an employee in the front/main window only 25 people are ticketed per day to receive service for passports. So for those who go in "too late" won't get seen or their applications processed. Horrible, I live in the area but do not mind driving elsewhere for BETTER customer service & satisfaction, like the COMPTON USPS office - which I went to after leaving the Paramount USPS. read more

Zero stars should be an option for this place! I have tried three separate times in three weeks to buy stamps here and every time they are out. I even called ahead today to verify they had the right denomination and they said they did but when I showed up they magically didn't have any. Was told there might be some locked in a safe in the back but I would have to wait 30 minutes for the one girl with a key to the safe to return. The worst freakin post office I have ever been in!!!!!! And that is saying a lot. Everyone in this post office is over 45 and lazy. They have attitude even when the lines are short. These people do not know anything about customer service and it shows. The next time I come to this office I hope it is because they are closing it down and putting a Starbucks here. I hope the people at this post office look up the meaning of work ethic and customer service!!!! There's only one person working the passport office so if you have a question you must wait in a huge line for hours to find out. Bring a sack lunch and lots of patience. Facility is a small location, usually busy in the morning.after 12 no line.Their passport process is as follows::: ONLY 25 tickets given in a day, stand in line by 8:30(if your like me by 8) if your one of the 25 ticket holders you wait in back of the post office for the passport window to open at 9:30am. Once it opens be sure to be ready, listen for your number to be called. Be sure to fill your application with BLACK INK and have it complete for faster processing. FYI you will be there for 2-4 hours just waiting. However, the clerks will answer any questions you may have and they explain the process with patience and respectfully. I have been to many post offices for a passport and they were no help, at least here you have staff that will inform you of what's got to get done. I wouldn't rate it a 5star due to the waiting, but a 4 will do based on their technique and attention to customer service while assisting. read more

I guess it is not a surprise about the unbelievable incompetence of postal workers but this post office I have been to. Call their phone number and you will see what I mean. Went there looking for a change of address form, every other form you can think of I guess people just don't move anymore. I'm sorry, but this post office is not doing its job. Twice I have requested package pick ups from them that have not been picked up and I've had to go drop them off even after they mark the packages as picked up. They need to get their act together. I work from home and it's a huge inconvenience for me. I never had this issue with the Lynwood post office. read more

My daughter in law walked into the the post office on Tuesday May 28 to buy envelopes and stamps. There was a line, so after 30 minutes, she is next. This elder lady said she does not take credit cards only cash. Mind you there where other clerks that did except cards. So my daughter in law asks this lady if she can come back, with cash which she was going to withdraw from the store across the street. My daughter in law comes back at 4:25, and this same lady closes the door on her and says the office is closed! Sign outside indicates office closes at 5:00 My daughter in law asked her to please let her in, that this lady even said it was ok for her to get the cash and come back. This lady did not let her in, my daughter in law started to cry in front of the customers already inside and felt humiliated. My daughter in law writes to my son who is in the ARMY serving this county, every Monday, but the fact that the post office is closed Monday for Memorial Day holiday, she went the next business day, and this happened. This really boils my blood! As you may know, my sons only way of communication is through mail only! He anxiously waits for his letters, no one should humiliate another by these poor customer service skills, the office closes at 5:00! This lady could have found a way to satisfy this customers needs, by easily saying "my system does not accept cards, but I can process the payment through this other system", or simply having another person help her. I don't understand how a person like this is allowed to work for a well known company, if this happened to my daughter in law, I'm sure she's doing this to others. My daughter in law did not get this persons name. She was an elder Hispanic lady in her late 60's, with an accent. I'm sure she enjoyed her holiday paid off the day before, because of people like my son who served or is serving for this country! read more

beware of setting up a pickup request during your mail delivery time, they will most likely ignore you on a daily basis. imagine failing to do your job right and then when i come to you to make your job easier, you give me a stink face acting like i inconvenienced you even though you ignore my pickup requests. so unprofessional. read more

I have never waited so long at any post office without anybody saying one word to me at the window nor have I ever seen anybody walk as slow as Paris did to get my package and do other things then anyone at any job. They really reflect how shitty our government is. The only reason I had to go to the post office was because they were supposed to deliver my package five days ago then redeliver it three days ago and it never happened but I ended up finding it at the post office today. If I could give a zero start I would, every time I go there the one of the male Asian clerk gives me a reason why not to take my packages. Now, I would be ok if it were things that I'm messing up in any way but the funny part is that the last two times I drove to another post office to get their opinion and I tell them what this male clerk told me and they pretty much laugh because it is so dumb the reasons he is giving me for not taking my packages. Super upset that they have a lost a package! I have a PO box and it was suppose to be there on Wednesday June 28, went the next day on Thursday and nothing. My friend who sent me the package gave me the tracking number and it said it was delivered that Wednesday. Went the following week still nothing, talked to this person and gave me unreasonable responses, kept saying that they did put it in my box. Well they didn't! I was on hold for almost an hour and someone finally picked up. I forgot I was even on the phone lol. Didn't know to submit a change of address was so difficult. If i could give this 0 stars I would. Went to get my passport here and it's really a mess! The guy serving me was really really rude, if you want to feel disrespected as a human being then this is the place to go. I asked a question and all he said was, "Read the directions," "Look at the directions" and wouldn't give me the answers that i wanted. It was so awkward and kept giving me an attitude so rudely, I had forgotten to write just ONE thing that only took 2 seconds and said that i had to do it outside and go all the way in the back of the line which was long ! Mail packages are received at this post office and posted as "out for delivery", however, the package is never delivered that day but sent to another postal annex where it is then returned to the correct post office the following day or day after. When asked for the package I am told they have no clue where the package is or maybe another driver took it. Very poor management. read more

Horrible! I work for a small business and we are lucky if we get 3 pick ups in a week! I've been doing what a USPS associate suggested online, which is scheduling online pick ups (I shouldn't have to do this daily) and sometimes they don't even come. I feel like we have been calling so often that sometimes when we call, the line is "busy" or just keeps ringing. The post office is literally a block away, but we have at least 100 packages that need to be shipped out, otherwise, we would take the items ourselves. I have lost more mail from this post office including DVD from Netflix. It got so bad Netflix suspended my account because every time I mailed DV back to Netflix from this Post Office they never received them. Finally, they restore my account and I switched Post offices and never had the problem again. I said I would not use this P.O again but was in a hurry to mail a payment that was due and guess what? The manager here helped me find 1of 7 my packages that I messed up on when I ordered them online I put the wrong address on all of em so the this guy is looking left and right for the 2of 3 that showed it made it to the post office hopefully they haven't been sent back but still if they were this guy at least looked for them and he tried. He also said he told the Mail carrier to look out for my specific packages and deliver them to my address if he got the wrong addresses ones awesome customer service. Thanks a lot Antonio.
