So I will keep this short and to the point. I have never dealt with any workers personally so I can't speak on their customer service but what I can speak on is that there has to be some kind of shadiness going on behind the scenes. Multiple times I have had checks stolen at this location. 1st time maybe it was stolen else where but let it happen over and over again we can only point fingers to this location. We stopped brining the mail to this location and went else where and guess what nothing has been stolen or altered, coincidence I don't think so. So I would advise no one come here especially if you are dropping of something that has checks or honestly anything of value. read more

Things have improved here over the many years I've been coming here, but it's still lacking. It's cleaner than it has been but the parking lot always has trash in it. They have problems with break ins in the parking lot as well as the Post Office it's self. I guess it's just a sign of the times. read more

I was searching to get my kids passport. I called everyone and no one can give me an appointment until I called the Paramount post office. I spoke to Cielo and she was very pleasant. I explained to her my situation that I needed to get my kids passports done. She asked me some questions and said that she could accommodate me early @9am and make sure all my documents would be ready, and that she could assist me the next day. The worst of the worst! This facility and the employees' are beyond repair. They deliver mail after 5:00 p.m. at our industrial park. This is a business and there are bills to be paid and checks that need to be deposited. Also the mail that needs to go out has to wait until the next day. I have contacted the postmaster general and they tell me I need to speak to the postmaster at the Paramount facility. Duh! I've done that! Time and time again! It goes in one ear and out the other. Or they just don't answer their phone. Another problem is the employees delivering the mail have not been wearing their uniforms. I've asked about this and they tell me, "The uniform is on order." It is ridiculous that they give you a stupid paper that clearly states no appointment necessary Monday-Friday from 8:30-3:30. I miss a day from work and took out my children from school to have their passport renewed for them to tell you that you must have a ticket to be seen. Tickets are handed in the morning and they only see 25 people. The person inside the post office box in charge of passport paper work isn't doing shit but still can see you unless you grabbed a ticket earlier that day. Fucken put that shit in the hand outs you make!! Make a sheet that clearly states that you must have an appointment to be seen and don't put false information "No Appointment Necessary!" Had an expensive package shipped to us, they lost it in the mail, we emailed them asking for an EMAIL response on the matter - they continued with phone calls (no recorded accountability). Which would be fine if their customer service was fine. No. It isn't. They only continued asking if we received the package, and would tell us that they would call *US* back in 5 minutes/a few hours/etc. They NEVER called us back, we always had to call THEM back, and they'd still just ask if we received the mail - obviously NO (that's the darn issue!), and they never follow up on their end! Then they conclude the service request before even telling us that they've concluded it, and now they're refusing to answer any of our phone calls! We've called several times, only for them to hang up on us every time. USPS, seriously consider shutting down this office, or laying off all of its employees. They've never been helpful to us in the past, and this just sealed the deal for us. read more

Absolutely the worst post office. The workers inside are lazy and act like there is no urgency to move their asses to get lines down. Do not drop your mail in the outside boxes they have been broken into, they removed them then for some reason put them back out. The mail carriers that deliver your mail are no better. My income tax check, bank statements and other important mail have ended up in other peoples mail, thank God that so far its been honest ppl who bring it to me. I have received rubberband stacks of other ppl mail. Magazines and catalogs are chewed up by their machines. Paramount Post Office is the worst. They removed all of our nearby blue mailboxes so now you have to drive to post office to mail anything, but when you get there, they've removed the drive up mailbox, and now you can't even use the outside mailbox near door, it's sealed shut. So if you want to mail anything you have to stand in the long line. The employees here don't care about anything they look like they are bored out of their minds. I'm sensitive to the respect of the government postal worker but this (I won't say WHO specifically) "TEAM" is a joke. Watch out for the GYPSY woman that gets tickets they issue in the AM and sells them to people arriving late for a profit, she has no business with the passport services just to make $$$$ #1) opening the doors at 9:40 vs. 9:30 when people have been waiting since 7:00am #2) having to watch this employee enjoy his coffee and breakfast in between helping customers, because getting to work at 9:30 can be tough on some people. #3) mostly 1 person seems to work while the other is off on break or doing who knows what. Turns out that he is processing about 5 people per hour on average More than half of my fellow citizens did not have the proper paperwork, identification, or payment (personal check it money order have it ready people!!!) so they were sent away to go to the main bank window to get a cashiers check or sent home altogether. There's a huge sign at one of the windows designated for pickups now. I stood there with my slip in hand, waiting for someone to come and assist. I watched 10 people go by in the regular line before anyone asked if I had been helped. The person closing asked someone that was walking behind the window (straight passed me without saying anything) to help me. She walks over and asks "oh, are you waiting for a pick up?" . Nope, i just enjoy standing here being ignored. The last time I waited in line, the tellers told me to wait at the pickup window. I told them THEN that i stood there and no one came to help me. Guess some things never change. At least put a buzzer out there or something since you think people are just standing at the pick up window to enjoy people watching. read more

They "lose" packages at this location. This Post Office is very unprofessional. They lost my package that I hand delivered to the post office representative. I've tried to make this office work out after several attempts to reconcile differences. They are very condescending. They just don't understand customer service. They seem to dislike human interactions.They explain obvious things to me that I already know. It's sad really. I know it makes them feel important, so I don't take it personal. Just checked my mailbox where our post woman with BLUE BRAIDED HAIR does not pick up our mail at our industrial park. Just found my rent check and my So Cal electric bill still in the mailbox. The only reason I found this out because she left the door open on the whole unit and say all this mail still sitting there in the mailbox. If I could give this location zero stars I absolutely would. They have given THREE of my packages to the wrong people. Do they not pay attention to who's unit number is on the package? Not only that, but they have delivered someone else's package to my home which isn't even on the street the package was supposed to be delivered on!!! The incompetence is insane. Small post office. The line is always long and sloooooow! Postal workers are friendly so I guess they offset the wait a little bit.

The Paramount Post Office is located on Somerset Bl. south of Garfield and across the street from Salud Park. This branch has plenty of available parking and mailboxes outside for those who don't feel like going in to drop their mail. This branch also offers passport service but it is always busy and looks like you are in a school cafeteria. From time to time there are long lines and customer service can be a hit or miss. The main gripes about this post office is that they do not have the medium size Priority Mail boxes which are $12.50 and that they are closed on the weekends unless you are picking up priority mail packages. FYI if you are looking for more efficient passport service go to the Airport location. read more

They always mess up on my orders. They always say they check the back of the mail room for my package, but rarely do. I know this because my mail man has told me multiple times that they won't check the back. This ALWAYS happens when it's a stand in mailman for the days that my regular mail man is off. They'll scan the actual package as delivered but won't leave a notice that they tried to deliver the package. I've been here for passport photos and that was killer. If you're up early enough, being there on a Monday through Wednesday is best. There's no one around and you can get through your transaction pretty quickly as long as no one wants to spend twenty minutes asking a stupid question. No questions are stupid, only stupid people. Anyway, the customer service is about as expected, with the guarantee that if you're courteous and patient with them, they'll reciprocate. It's a small post office with a few limited services, but otherwise efficient to the needs of Paramount. Do try to avoid it on a Friday. read more

This place is the worst unfortunately due to the employees when it comes to getting a passport. The guy who is in charge makes fun of you when you dont bring a paper, you didnt know you were going to need. Also he is very slow like a turtle and its not because he is an old dude but because he wants to be a miserable person instead, and want to see everyone miserable just like him. He looks like santa clause a little bit and you will know who i am talking about. He said my daughter could get through the airport with a passport i.d. card, and that was a complete mistake. The line was long and the service was slow... They have three cashiers open but only one was truly available, which made no sense since there were about 10 to 12 people in line. One of the windows took cash only and the other one had an employee they didn't know what they were doing so they kept borrowing the third window cashier for help. When I go to the post office I don't expect to be there for hours on end especially if I'm just picking up a book of stamps. The parking lot is somewhat of a fiasco and nobody follows common courtesy. People kind of just park wherever even if it blocks entrances and exits- kind of annoying. I've lived in several different cities ranging from San Fernando to Fountain Valley over the years. And I have never ever experienced worst service from the local U.S.P.S than I have from this one. They don't drop off packages at my door even though they've been paid to do so. Which in turn I'm forced to go to their offices and Waite in line even though I'm disabled. Getting my mail is a hit or miss, sometimes I get it and other times I get excuses on why they could deliver it instead. In about 5 years that I've been forced to use them I've only met 1 person at that facility that genuinely seemed to like his job or care about their performance at all his name was Tony and he was a supervisor there. If you can avoid using their services do it. You'll save yourself a headache, and avoid getting frustrated at how little their employees care about doing a halve decent job. read more

This is one of the worst USPS locations I have ever been to. The cashiers are rude. I came in at 4:20 and they close at 4:30. I am aware that they close in 10 min and I was going to just ask a quick question and come back tomorrow since im nice and knew shipping out my 4 international packages would take forever.
