This post office is literally the worst plave ive ever been to, their delivery drivers regularly skip over our home and stick "we tried to deliver a package but you weren't home" stickers, when ive been waiting since the crack of dawn in my living room, in full earshot of the doorbell or a knock on any door, for a specific package (for example, a check, or my eyeglasses which i am literally still waiting on) I literally see the mailman drive in to my cul-de-sac, i wait about 30 seconds without hearing a sound, and then i see him drive away. When i go out to check my mail the mailbox is empty and there is a note saying we tried to deliver your mail but you weren't home. Avoid doing any business with this post office at all costs, please spread the word they are deliberately passing houses over. read more

United postal service huh? They had a man of Asian descent at the front desk who barely spoke English. Refused my package because it had a battery warning label even though I was shipping 1 clothing item. They said even if it doesn't have a batteries it needs to be 100% covered up and refused to help me. Just called this post office to inquire about a mailbox key replacement. The woman who answered was tone deaf to my concerns. I explained to her that we paid for a mailbox lock replacement and it was done horribly. I found my mailbox open yesterday. The lock never locks properly and I guess someone pulled it open or the mailman left it open. She did not care one bit. She actually hung up on me. Had a package delivered to one of the larger boxes at our community mailboxes. When the key was used to try to open the larger mailbox, the box wouldn't open and the key was stuck. No way to get the package. Called the USPS branch on Rose Garden and was shocked to have someone answer right away. And, was even more shocked when he said he'd be over shortly to get the package and bring to my house. He did exactly what he said and I couldn't be happier with the service I received today. I I am so fed up with what is still referred to as the U.S. Post Office. Especially the one at 2550 E Rose Garden, Phoenix, AZ. I had my mail held for 30 days while I was gone. I also was told by the post office that they would hold my mail for 10 days after that so I could pick up my mail. Well a friend went there in a timely manner with all the right documentation and the post office said they already returned all of my mail!!! The post office never does anything in a timely way. I have had envelopes disappear and packages misplaced. Deliveries take way longer than necessary. However my mail that was being held for me was the one thing they did "speedily" and before the due date!! I am so disappointed! read more

It seems like there is always a line here and not enough staff. The lobby remains open and there is a self serve mailing machine even when the windows are closed. This convenience along with the windows are fine for stamps or packages. Not sure whether the problem of sorting arises in the building or with the carrier but we often get our neighbor's mail and rarely any on Fridays. I have introduced myself to the carrier in hopes of better service. This morning, I called the post office building, and finally, someone answered. I've been waiting on the delivery of a package since November 7. The gentleman who answered took the tracking number and actually found it! (Apparently, the house number on the label was either obliterated or incorrect). It has gone back out for delivery. read more

Absolutly the worst! Took the day off to have a large package delivered which needed a signature. Let me also state that multiple times I have done this and no problem with the package being brought to my apartment. Thank you to the carriers who do their job correctly. Today- I get a notification saying. No one was there. And to pick up tomorrow from post office. I was home she didn't try. Just left not in box! I drive to post office- with in minutes of this notification To see where my package is. They inform me. That it's on route with a deaf driver and have no means of communicating with her? Say what! So not only can they not find my package. But they also can't communicate with her and she also does the bare minimum with attempts to get ahold of me. You have got to be kidding me! I like this location. It's north central just off the 101 and Cave Creek Rd. It's easy to get in and out, and except for Christmas, it isn't ever busy. Service is about typical. Lines tend to move slow. read more

Most frustrating wait times and barely 2 people working the counters. Not sure why they spend so much time resolving others customers concerns while not worrying about the other 20 people in line. If you have time on your hands, then one should go here as service lags behind and is very slow. They need to hire more associates or have they handy ready to chip in busy times. read more

One of the lens I look through when writing reviews is that I would never want to harm a business, harm their revenue stream, imperil people's livelihoods, etc. Do no harm; that's not asking too much. That being said I will throw some shade at a family member, one of your family members also-our benevolent Uncle. . .Uncle Sam. The USPS is a trainwreck. The culture is abysmal, the employees (while the hiring of veterans is commendable and the right thing to do) are in dire need of strong direction and even better management. Time in the morning is sacred. Most commuters know this, respect this, live this. We all have to be somewhere at or close to a certain time. I've been carrying a Nordstrom return around in The Truckia for two weeks and since I had to get gas at QT and this Post Office was only two blocks away (read maybe 90 seconds) I decided to run over and drop this off. Like I said, it was a parcel so I knew I would have to go inside and use the Dropbox because it wouldn't fit in the envelope drop. Let's add 15 seconds to my 90 second tour. I grabbed the package and ran in-only to be stunned with a sign that clearly had been there for days. . "Dropbox broken, take package to the front desk." Well, the front desk isn't open until the sun is warm and certainly wasn't this morning. Let's just say the package is back in The Truckia and Nordstrom is still using my money. Seriously Uncle, develop a business plan and instill a sense of urgency with the rank and file. I've seen moss grow faster than most of the employees can walk. The three deadman walking in the US right now is Sears, K-mart, and the USPS. The first two should be mercifully taken off life support but the USPS needs a bypass and a roto-rooting of the first degree. You're the butt of so many jokes for a reason. Clean up your act and start performing like a proud organization of the USA. And I want my 115 seconds back. I'll even take stamps for payment. read more

Fine spot for dropping off packages in pre paid boxes or "free" priority mail boxes. They have a stamp machine in the lobby and the standard drive through mail drop off in the lot. The line always looks long and the urgency is no where to be found. The parking lot is twisty with a tempting do not enter shortcut. read more

The staff is so friendly here. I love my local post office. It is very busy sometimes and very dead so it's a hit or miss when you go in to drop off a package but the line goes quick so don't panic! I can't even give this location half of a star. I always have someone else's mail in our mailbox. Packages get "misplaced" all of the time. I have complained six times since March about lost packages. My sons passport of thrown on the driveway after I complained to a manager. Along with this was my husbands birth certificate now mind you at this time we had our mail stopped due a lost key and would be out of town. We just happened to leave a day later than planned and found these super critical items left tossed on the driveway. This was after a complaint to the manager. Fishy!? . There are two gentlemen who work the counter who will Listen and try to get to the bottom of the issue. I pity you if you get Miss Mary Sunshine, not a very happy woman at all! Her customer service skills leave a great deal to be desired. Each time I am in there she is even less happy than the previous visit. Once again I have to go in today to get track a lost package. It says it was delivered on Saturday. No package! I waited until today to see if the carrier put it in the wrong box. Went to mailbox twice, what do you know no package. SHOCKER!! So I take my happy self to the post office. Miss Mary Sunshine gives me all of her attitude and sends me to Bonnie (who tries but seriously what can she do about this goofball carrier this time. Same problem) she advises me he may have out in wrong box. Advised I thought so also so went to box twice today, al bigger parcels have been emptied- nothing for me. Then she process to tell me he has short term memory loss. Now I am a compassionate person, and feel for the guy, but this is not my problem. His job is to deliver mail as a mail carrier, please make sure you do so. Now while I am standing I hear others complain- where is my mail, this isn't mine , why is this happening... so it's not just me people!! I ask in pure sarcasm, do I need to get a P.O. Box so I can have my mail? And why when I mail something from this location it never gets to where going? Her response, you may need to. I want to laugh! So my mail carrier can't deliver my mail for some reason (that is his JOB) but I need to pay for it? My humor is lost on Bonnie. So my next question is, how do I file a formal complaint? She advises me to not do that bc the carriers retaliate. What now? They hold your mail? This is beyond crazy. A mail carriers job is to deliver the mail people! Not keep it, throw away, deliver to wrong box, or whatever is happening. So she tells me she is going to speak to carrier and call me back. Well still waiting on a call and a package.. *** update 2 days later*** yet another missing package and no return calls from management!! DON'T GO HERE THEY ARE MORE THAN IMCOMPETANT!!! Shipped 2 boxes priority mail. Insured one of them for $800. Have yet to receive them!!!! Did not get delivered as I paid for and we are going on 1 week past original delivery date. Apparently the box was put on the wrong truck. Now they don't know when I will get it. I do not appreciate rude employees and bad customer service, but at least I get to let it out on YELP!! I have been "told off" for bringing in international packages. Twice now, the cashier has yelled out to everyone in the line waiting behind me that because I brought in some packages that need to be sent off overseas, they all have to wait longer! Wait, what? I thought I was paying you for a service. Most of the employees here are extremely slow at entering information. Twice in the middle of a transaction their computers have shut down....and they had to re-enter EVERYTHING all over again. Oh and once their Credit Card machine failed at the end of a transaction...all they could do was ask me to pay cash for it. Yes, the air conditioning system seemed not to be working a few times during the summer, which makes standing in line for 30-40 minutes unbearable. I will say it is convenient because it is right off the 101 and Cave Creek. They do have a couple really nice and competent employees too, but that is about it. read more

I really thought the US Postal Service was trying to compete with private companies like UPS and FedEx but they still claim their Priority Express ie overnight delivery can't reach a Minneapolis suburb any sooner than 2 days, specifically 52 hrs delivery time. Living in cave creek means its a drive to pretty much anywhere. I like this postal location because its on my way to or from the 101 & home. It's easy to stop in on the way home or to work. I can't give much of a rating for the clerks because 99% of the time I use the automated system in the lobby. I'm sad the prices of things are going up but I guess its supposed to help the usps stay afloat. read more

After visiting the post office twice recently, the experience was completely different than the dozen or so visits in 2014. The lines were long, but that is almost ALWAYS the case, but both employees were pleasant, helpful and handled my business quick. I sure hope things continue to run smoothly, because the post office is just one step below the MVD in terms of trying patience. read more

People who work at this post office probably have the best of intentions however their attitude and responses do not reflect that all the time. They close at 3 PM on Saturdays and if you go in and use the kiosk all of a sudden it has different criteria. Previously you could select parcel post or 1st class foe small parcels..not anymore?! it pushes you to use their wonderful priority service which is more expensive in a lot of cases. I've even gotten cheaper rates @ FedEx for packages over a pound going cross-country. Unlike other delivery companies the post office doesn't want to offer such things as tape and even a pen is not available once they close so bring with you if you have to go there and mail something on your own from the kiosk . Maybe If USPS could hire COMPETENT programmers they could actually have a kiosk which could be effective and user-friendly, to be able to let some people retire who don't seem to want to be there to help people sincerely?! read more

Line going out to the door and one person is trying to help someone break a $100 bill holding up line the other older woman looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there at her job and she also talked like it, rude. I understand this might be hard time for usps employees but it's your job and have some common sense of how to deal with issues when you have line going out the door. Good grief! read more

On countless occasions when I have ordered packages online, they have misplaced them or like right now, misplaced the key to the lockbox they left my things in... I called them and they said they would try to contact the carrier who delivered them and call me back. No call and now they are closed. I have seen on countless occasions the person delivering packages from door to door, throwing the packages from the street where their car is parked, to the fron door of the house they have to deliver to. I cannot stand that I have to use them for certain companies I order from. By far the worst post office I have ever had to use. read more

I am so frustrated with this locations mail service. We constantly have other peoples mail put in our box and our mail ends up in someone else's box. We have complained to the supervisor personally on numerous occasions. Their excuse is that our route doesn't have an assigned person and they use whoever is available on any given day to "fill" in. I shouldn't have to do the mailman's job, I'm not getting his salary! I was expecting a package to be delivered today, the tracking number shows that it was delivered at 3:28pm, but of course there is nothing in my box. Obviously he put the key in somebody else's box, now I'm at the mercy of someone's kindness to hopefully return my package to me. The postal service is such a huge waste of a government agency, they are as bad if not worse than the TSA. They don't give a damn about good customer service. Not sure what a review would do to usps. I went to pick up a package and I have done this before, you ring the doorbell and they answer. Well after 5 mins no one came and the 3 people behind the desk who saw me clear as day could have said hey jump in line and we can help you. Nope, it took a customer who said I was waiting there too and some other customer told me I had to get in line. Why do customers have to do the work for the employees??? Well I will try to avoid usps at all costs. However I can't when someone sends me a package. It really isn't a mystery why this company is losing millions. You have a staff who is lazy. I hate to see when people lose their jobs but usps deserves to lose money and will be excited to hear when they go out of business! read more
