We had to either bring in our own tape that we got from the dollar store or Staples; or purchase the three or four dollar tape from here. This was once a free benefit but not for the last 5 years. You want rude and indifferent postal employees - please drive 7 miles south to the Post Office on W John St in Hicksville, wait 12-15 minutes in line and then deal with someone who just hates everything. Seriously! What she missed out on: 1) A great location with dozens of parking spots( rare on Long Island - just try parking at the New Hyde Park, Hicksville, Levittown or Syosset Post offices). 2) Amazing staff that bend over backwards, know your name, work with you when you travel regarding holding mail and get through that line in less than a minute. Huge props and kudos to Raj who is a gem- solid, professional, polite, calm( I have seen a crazy Old Brookville entitled resident ream him out for taking too long with an elderly gentleman who was having a hard time counting his money & coins and was moving slowly) . Raj just smiled and continued. Humanity, Love and Care are very much alive and here to stay in the Glen Head Post Office. Freddy (photo from March 2025)is also just a wonderful person who is a worker. 3) This location is always well stocked with all the necessary postal forms. They have cute greeting cards. They always have PENS at the end of those strings on each table. There is enough room to stand, spread your stuff and write. 4) I have seen how efficient they are with the Passport appointment and explaining everything. 5) The USPS rates and fees are standard and the same everywhere. I do appreciate the fact that they have the flat rate boxes in different sizes - I have sent many care packages and shirts n souvenirs to my grandkids and family in California for 25 years. Thank you for that and the $100 insurance included at no extra charge. Thank you Glen Head PO for also being open on Saturdays.

For example, a customer asked the Postal worker how come I got back 2 original copies of my birth certificate when I submitted my passport application...? (Maybe cause you mailed both, and they mailed you back any originals they received..? lol). Parking on street or across there's a lot for the shopping strip. Post office is small, but gets the job done for your mailing needs or passport services.

After we made an appointment for a few days later and although we checked the web site current regulations where we only needed the parents to show our faces, we were told that they also needed to see our little girl in the flesh. A third trip to accomplish what we set upon. Once we had satisfied all of the obstacles, we submitted the application and now we wait. Hopefully, our little girl can go to Aruba for Christmas. As an aside, both of the people in the post office we very friendly and genuinely seemed interested in helping us acheive our goal. They were informative and at the same time, sensitive to us in our dilemma.

The postal workers behind the counters are very friendly and get you in and out quickly. There is also an automated/self service machine in the lobby if you want to do it yourself, trust me, wait on line, the machine is a pain! The place opens at 11:00 am and the parking is limited, if you cant find a space pull over to the side and wait, if you leave the parking lot, you can only make a right turn and it will take you forever to get back to the post office Don't even think about making a Left on Stewart Ave, YOU WILL DIE! Stewart Ave makes the infamous "Queens Boulevard of death" look tame in comparison. Happy shipping!

There is always parking.The people who work there are helpful and nice even if the line is long. When the line is long, the self service machine is a good alternative, but can be difficult to use a times. Theres always someone there to help you if you get stuck at the machine ( I speak from experience). Side note, theres a camera at that traffic light, so dont go through a yellow...almost a red light...you will get a ticket.

This DMV location would be 5 Stars, if not for the two extremely rude young ladies who greet you…read moreinside. This DMV location is huge, clean and very bright! Plenty of free parking is available. Don't forget to bring a pen because you'll definitely need one, and they will not provide you with in one; however, you can purchase a pen from them. lol Appointments are by reservations only! You can easily book an appointment online. But be warned, the appointments get filled up pretty quickly, so reserve early! I booked online and the earliest appointment available was one month later! *** Make sure you fill out an application when you get there. This is in addition to any paperwork you may have been mailed. You need both forms. Once you have all your paperwork, get online to get a ticket number. There are numerous monitors in the huge waiting area. Once your # is called, it will appear on the monitors, which will direct you to which counter to go to. If renewing a license, you will be directed to the counter to have your photo taken. After your photo is taken, you go back to the waiting area for your # to be called again. Once your # is called again, you're directed to a counter to present your paperwork along with your required documents. Paperwork is processed, pay your fees, and your done! So easy! ***The key is to have ALL the required paperwork and documents required. Aside from the 2 rude young ladies who greeted me, all personnel (& security) were very friendly, helpful and professional. I was in and out in less than an hour!

Check in was easy and staff were really helpful. Staff was able to guide me to getting my ticket and explained to wait for my number to be shown on the board. It was really clean inside and well kept. This DMV is bright and huge inside. I had all my paperwork filled out and all what was needed to register my car to receive plates. I came on 8/29/2025 @ about 11am, I was helped by a young lady (I forgot her name) at #25 extremely polite and helpful. I'm was in and out of DMV less than 20mins no lie!! I say, have your paperwork in check, make an appointment, be on time and be polite. You will be out of there sooner than the city's DMV. Definitely coming back here.

They were also friendly and engaged with our children. We had a wonderful experience! The US Postal Service should be proud of this exemplary office!
