They're usually busy yet don't have the "motor vehicles" type lines the other place always has-- the staff is fast and keeps things going quickly. They also have no problem with the AAA and AARP discounts that UPS stores are supposed to offer. At the other store, I had a clerk flatly tell me "she never heard of that"-- with a sticker mentioning both right in the doorway! This location adds it on cheerfully and promptly, and doesn't treat me like a liar when I mention it! That doesn't sound hard but it's a big thing when you've had the opposite experience. I took a lot of time doing the Click & Ship online, but couldn't ever get it to print (after hours of trying.) I ended up having to pay for it at the counter anyway. The guy at the counter had "no clue" about online services, having, "Never gone on the website." (There's someone who loves his job and really wants to learn about his employer-not.) He didn't even know if I could get a refund for the label that never printed. I left feeling very defeated. The good news is, I got an automated response from Click & Ship and was able to easily jump through some online hoops, and my refund is coming. Now, if it turns out my package safely arrived in DC before it's recipient left for Europe, it will be a win, worth the 2 1/2 hours I spent online yesterday. USPS REALLY NEEDS to work on the website, so it saves all the info you write, because as it now stands, each time you go to another page, like seeing if it's cheaper to use your own box instead of a post office flat rate box, you must fill out their online form again. They disappear during open hours and still leave the bin locked even though this is supposed to be the only 24 hour self-service location in the area. The staff is unbelievable how condescending they are and they brush you off every time you might have a questions. While in line, I heard an employee talking down to an ethnic customer trying to get his passport and was not helpful or understanding to him at all. Go to the Orem center street location instead! they are always nice but they don't have the 24 hour self service. I've contacted USPS multiple times to notify about the rude service and the self service issues that happen even during the hours the post office is supposedly open and nothing has changed and they reply with "thanks for the info" and not even an apology. Today, Yet again, I went during the hours of operation and the roll bin was locked and no employees were to be found and another confused customer said to me "yeah I've come back 3 times today to drop off my package and it's been locked all day". Initial experiences at Post Mart were excellent if you get the younger man who works there. Seems to be the son of the establishment owner. But I am shaking from rage as to what just happened to me with the owner of Post Mart (the lady with the glasses) I came in 15 minutes before close (Dec 31st 2022) with one large box. To ship to the UK. Long story short, I normally get shown the screen to see all available prices and quotes from UPS, FedEx and USPS. But on this occasion, the woman was short and snappy with me and quoted me roughly $650 by DHL & Fedex (she didn't even quote a UPS price). I asked for a USPS price and she said "the box is too big". I didn't question her and just said I'll split up the boxes and come back in a few days. I knew she was lying as I have shipped bigger boxes via USPS through a USPS store. I got home and checked USPS and my 18.5lbs 18"x12"x8" box was completely within the limits and would have cost $148 with $1500 insurance (Dec 2022 prices) priority mail. Fedex quoted $530.33 for the exact same day. So the lady not only lied about USPS not taking the box but she was about to steal $100 from me by over charging for a private courier service without showing me the screen to prove the prices were actually accurate. Also she must think I'm stupid because she only quoted me one price from DHL and Fedex when I know that UPS was also an option and that there are multiple options for varied prices, yet she only listed me a pumped up version of the most expensive services. I guarantee there were other cheaper options. You may be asking yourself, "How can she be so rude and try to defraud customers and pocket the difference without consequences?" Well the answer is that she owns the two store Post Mart franchise. So there are no consequences. The young man will do anything to help you out, but my trust is completely gone after what the owner just tried to pull on me. Totally outrageous behavior. I HIGHLY doubt she will reply to this because she knows exactly what she did and there seems to be little interest in the other magazine feedback this abysmal place has received. You should be ashamed of yourself and just because you hate your job it does not mean your justified in ripping people off. Avoid unless you enjoyed getting mugged off to just ship a box.
