That said, I do appreciate that the lobby remains open after business hours and offers a self-service kiosk, which is very convenient for those of us who need to ship packages after work. On my most recent visit, however, there was only one self-service machine available. The customer ahead of me was entering shipping information, and the kiosk was occupied for more than 20 minutes. Since the space appears large enough to accommodate another machine, adding a second kiosk would significantly improve the experience and reduce wait times during busy periods. The after-hours self-service option is a great feature, but its usefulness is limited when there's only one machine available. I hope USPS considers adding additional kiosks here--and perhaps at other locations as well--to better serve customers who rely on self-service shipping.

My niece suggested that I get stamps from Costco, but they don't sell POSTCARD stamps. Yup. This post office was really close to Costco anyway, so it wasn't out of our way! Plus, the service was SUPER helpful! The kind, friendly woman was very personable and asked where we were from. She gave me tips on where to eat nearby and where to go for a good view of the city and the Space Needle. She was sharp because she looked at my postcards, knew that I was a tourist and tried to help me find beautiful views of Seattle like those on the postcards! She went over and beyond! She asked of i needed more than ten stamps - because they are "Forever" stamps and the price will be the same now and forever... She's correct. I purchased 20 stamps... LOL! I sat at a conference in an empty booth for 3 days without any of my company's materials. After multiple requests, this store still refuses to refund my original shipping costs. Both the mailman and the building manager notified the post office. They said they would get it fixed and we had to go to the post office until it's fixed. Because they have such short business hours and no weekend hours, I have been unable to get mail for three weeks, including time sensitive mail. Multiple calls have been placed to get their repair person out here, to no end. I'm going to have to take off in order to go get my mail. It's pretty ridiculous.

The Factoria post office is located across from the Marketplace at Factoria (aka Factoria Mall). But I could see this location being a pain when the lot is filled up. The post office layout is a bit interesting. As you enter the building entrance, the PO boxes are to your left and there is a self-service kiosk right in front. But you enter another room for the actual post office. It seems like the lobby leads up to offices in the same building on the second floor. I needed to mail something and the service was quicker than I am used to at the Crossroads location. Probably because I went at an off-time. Nevertheless, I would definitely consider using this location again if I need to mail something and am in Factoria.
