Postal Services in Seattle, Washington... I had purchased ten postcards in Portland, Oregon, but I wasn't able to stamp and address them there. I thought that the next best thing would be to have the postcards stamped in Seattle, Washington. I searched my Yelp app for the closest post office and this one in Georgetown popped up. There were many free parking spaces right next to the building. Inside, there was a long line of customers! I guess it's because there are only ten more days until Christmas?!?!? Wished I had read the reviews for passport renewal before I made an appointment here. The accepting agents either took too long or need more training. When you renew minors passport in which they already had one, you do not need to see their birth certificates, that portion can be verified by the State Dept. at adjudication. I advised her I was okay with receiving a letter from the State Dept., she just needed to process my two minor applications and she refused to. I didn't want to argue with her, I made an appointment for the next week. We pulled our kids out of school hours early to make the appointment. Hours before our appointment, I received a call from their office canceling our passport appointment due to short staffing. I let them know how disappointing this was because we pulled our kids out of school early and had all the necessary documents and that it was a huge inconvenience. I will never step foot in this office for anything. Terrible service and incompetent staff. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars and I wish I checked here before scheduling a passport appointment. We scheduled an appt a month in advance, scheduled time off from work, got our kids out of school early only for there to be NO passport agent. We got an email confirmation and reminder the previous day. The least they could have done notify us ahead of time instead of wasting my entire family's time. To try to make up for it they convinced us to come back a few days later while reassuring us that an agent would be there...only for that to be canceled too. This is the worst place you could go to get your passport. I normally don't write reviews but this needs to be said for anyone thinking of going to this location. I went today had my appointment at 11:00am - which was made a month in advance to find out the man who was doing passports went on lunch break for an hour at 11:00am. There were four people in front of me which have been there since 9:00am!! This is the worst establishment they are so disorganized with terrible communication! Please for your sanity go to a different location or be ready to wait 2 hours after your appointment time. If I could give -1 stars I would. Never have I ever had such a bad experience. We had a post office appointment for our two children, we were able to schedule it online for a Saturday (I think this is one of the few post offices with Saturday appointments). The postmaster was so friendly she was so efficient and was able to see us early and kindly recopied our passports since we inadvertently truncated the copies that needed to accompany the renewal. The last time I had to take the children for a passport we went to Mill Creek's city hall and waited an hour for an appointment this was so efficient with easy parking and a 15 minute appointment. read more

I had to wait 1 hour in line and when the employee finally helped me, the employee just tells me that I forgot to bring something and told me that I had to go fill out an application for a new passport and wait in line again! Went to our 2pm passport appointment, we arrived at 1:40pm and stood in line. At 2:45 when we were next he said he was closed and wouldn't take anymore applications. He was rude and yelling at everyone. We took the day off of work, and took the kids out of school to go to this appointment, not to mention we got the appointment one month ago. We also had to drive almost an hour to get there. It is absolutely ridiculous that he would not continue taking people's applications who had appointments. You need to change how many appointments you allow if you can't staff the passport counter. This was an incredible waste of our time that we had planned for. If I could give zero stars I would. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, the service was very quick too. I understand staff don't have to be friendly but majority of them are consistently unapproachable, unhelpful, doesn't seem to like what they're doing. went there for passport appt (routine) in 2023, it was smooth and staff helpful. went back in Jan 2025 for passport (expedite) due to loss/stolen passport. been more than 2 weeks and no update. no answer on calls. went there physically, as expected and as usual, you will just be told they can't do anything. just wait. i had to go passport agency as i have upcoming trip and paid again. unnecessary hassle and waste of money for paying expedited twice! there must have been a mistake or negligence smw along the way. but i hope not! would not reco this. passport agency themselves reco UPS. good luck! read more

Saw lots of negative reviews, so I felt compelled to share my positive experience. Came here for a passport appointment for my infant son, after another post office canceled on me due to a staff shortage (the one person who can process them called in sick on my appointment day). Luckily Georgetown does not have that problem...multiple associates were working and available when I was there. The whole process took less than 10min from start to finish - super efficient and easy. The workers were quite friendly as well. Couple tips: - Schedule a passport appointment online: So you don't have to chance a long walk-in line - Get an afternoon appointment: According to their signage, they only accept walk-ins until noon. When I showed up around 3pm (45min early for my appt) they were literally empty and I walked right up to the counter - Be prepared with the right paperwork...look at the govt website ahead of time (seems obvious): a couple other people walked in while I was there and didn't know what they needed, but the associate would have processed them (as a walk in...even in the afternoon) if they simply had their paperwork with them This post office happens to be far out of my way, but I had zero issues and would not have a problem coming here for passport needs in the future. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a passport application on 1/7/2023. I arrived a few minutes early and was immediately greeted by Dino. He started walking me through the process and collecting the documents I brought. He was very friendly and helpful. I forgot to fill out one line on my application, and he quickly noticed my error, and had me correct it. I felt really happy with the service after I was done and sitting in my car. That's when I heard someone call my name from outside in the pouring rain, it was Dino! I had forgotten to date my check for the passport fee, and he had run out to the parking lot five minutes after I had walked out, just to see if I was still there so I could correct it. This is one of the better Post Offices in the Seattle Area, as far as I'm concerned. It's kind of a "best-kept secret" though, since it's not often crowded, and the staff are quick, helpful, and actually nice. It can get a little crowded at lunchtime, but other times this place is a truly pain-free postal experience. Highly recommended if you have packages or something to mail where you actually have to interact with postal staff. read more

Most folks who know me know that I despise USPS offices. If you ever want to feel stupid or like you're wasting precious minutes of your life, go there. The lines are always long and the staff short-handed. Two people working a window during the rush? Makes perfect sense. And the inconsistent unhelpful staff is always a extra bonus too. However.. This location in Georgetown is actually pretty quick and nice. I admit that I did have to wait a few minutes to drop off a pkg but it wasn't anyone's fault but the gentleman who didn't know what he wanted. I hesitate to say this because I'm afraid everyone will start coming here...but it's the best! Everyone who works here is super nice and helpful and except on certain days (day before taxes are due, Christmas mailing, etc.), it's not very crowded. I changed my mail in 2009 from home delivery to a PO box here and got to know most of the people who work here and I just love this place! It's my "other address" for sure! The staff know who I am, call me by name, joke with me, and help me with my numerous mailings and package deliveries. Can't say enough good stuff about them! For an organization that is hemorrhaging money like the USPS is, one should come in with very low expectations for service. However, as far as post offices go, this location far surpasses those low expectations. The Chinese and Filipino guys working the counter are always friendly and efficient, and the line moves quickly. They even proactively suggested a more cost efficient shipping method when I last visited. Long term (before stamps cost $1), I hope the USPS is able to adapt to the new economy and find some more sustainable sources of revenue (partnerships, on demand svcs, etc). read more

I've been struggling to get my package all week because the seller sent the package requiring signature confirmation. The first "attempt" was made but no notice was left. I called that same day and after wasting over an hour on hold finally spoke with someone and instructed them to let me pick it up at this post office. I showed up today to pick it up and was told the driver had it. After speaking with the manager at the post office, the black woman said to let me sign for it there and they would instruct the driver to leave it in the mailbox. Well guess what?!?! I receive a missed delivery notice today when I got back. Well I guess USPS doesn't know how to follow directions. What a bunch of morons. read more

Hate this office! They are nothing but incompetent human beings that dislike their jobs so much they are rude to customers and aren't helpful at all!! The mailman delivers my packages all the time are random neighbors' house and my neighbors also have to deliver them to me. This time again they delivered my packages somewhere else (Well I think, because it says they were delivered at my house, but nothing was at my front door when I got home) and no one has return them to me. I call the office to sort things out and the lady that answer the phone said there is me and one other clerk only we can't help you right now call back in 30min. I had already previously call and they said the same thing, so the second time I call I was told to call back in 30min? I told her I could hold then she replied "I can't help you right now we are really busy" What I am supposed to do to get my packages!!! If they hadn't deliver them somewhere else in the first place this would't be happening. BAD BAD BAD Customer Services!!!
