PASSPORT SERVICE EXPERIENCE: I missed the coveted online renewal period (after waiting my whole life for online renewal opportunities! lol), and found myself needing to renew my hence expired passport. I read up on everything that I needed to do ahead of time, so I felt that was prepared. However, I got to the window and as the PO clerk went through his checklist, he got me on one thing - the money order. Gah! Luckily, he stated that he could sell me a money order if I could pay with cash or debit card. No problemo! I paid the expedited fees and off my data went! This was done on 29Dec. I received my new passport on 10Jan! Wow! Efficiency! I actually went back to this location with my best friend who also needed a new passport. Since she was only 4 years old on her last passport, and that passport book was forever lost, she had to start over with a new passport. Her process was a little different. 1st - You HAVE to make an appointment. You can do this online via the USPS website. 2nd - documents. New passports require multiple proofs of citizenship/IDs along with copies, front and back, of the original copies. (I don't know why they need all that.) Generally, the original birth certificate with the seal, social security card, driver's license. Copies of each; front and back of driver's license. If you're a married person who has taken on the surname of your betrothed, bring the marriage certificate (to prove/support why your last name differs from that on your birth certificate) and a copy of the marriage certificate. My friend also got her photo taken here. She had one taken at CVS but she liked the post office photography better so she used that photo instead. (I wish I'd done the same, because mine is definitely fugly!) Again, the young man assisting us was very helpful through the entire process. We came here for our passports. I was unprepared and did not have the paper work filled out for my entire family, 4 of us. I also did not have copies of anything. Cody took care of us and could not have been more patient and kind with my entire family. He printed and made duplicates of everything for us. He could have easily seemed irritated since we were not well prepared for the appointment but he was amazing and great. Also he was honest with us in how long he thought our passports would take to get to us, therefore we did not pay extra to expedite them and we needed them in 7 weeks. Just discovered this location tucked away in business park setting. Efficient operation and LOTS of parking!

I went in on my lunch break to figure out how much postage I needed for my wedding invitations to be mailed. The clerk stated that it was going to be expensive because of all of the "unnecessary junk" that was on the invitations and proceeded to bend and get fingerprints all over the envelope. I did include a wax seal, but only after doing research on whether or not they could be mailed (which several sources said they could be). She then called over another employee and they both proceeded to berate me for even thinking that I would have enough money to be able to mail all of my invitations. In the end the original clerk said that it would cost "like 5 dollars" to mail a single invitation, and when I asked if she could tell me what was making them so expensive she said "what's on the inside of the envelope is what's making it expensive". The invitation has 5 pieces so this did not answer my question in the slightest. I left without knowing the simple answer to the question I asked. She never told me an exact amount because she assumed I wouldn't be able to pay it. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future, and you should too, unless you like to be humiliated and berated by postal workers. read more

DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!!!! Booked a passport appointment: The employee we meet immediately indicated no interest in providing services to us when we walked in.. the vibe we got was of someone who would rather do little or no work on that day. When we walked in, he immediately told us (since we were few minutes behind) he probably wouldn't help us. He moved to the next group and found ways to tell them he couldn't help them. Both of our groups were told that he wouldn't make copies of original documents and dismissed us to make new appointments online and find somewhere else to make copies or otherwise he would not render service. (Booked at a different location and was greeted helpfully, brought copies but didn't need them to finish business). He was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. Sad. read more

Best service I've ever gotten at a USPS facility! Had to mail a passport renewal form and I had no idea how to go about it. Forgot to ask the name of the clerk (#25 on my receipt) who assisted me, but she was so helpful and helped me make sure I had all the right items on hand to send my form. At the beginning of the year I sent a fragile package that was insured yet damaged in St Louis. I filed a claim for the insured amount. It was denied twice. I notified my local Post Office and they helped me resubmit a claim and this was in April. Still, nothing...crickets! I also filed a complaint with the SC Dept. of Consumer Affairs, in which they are handling for me. Just today, I heard that you are looking into complaints/reviews. I beg you to look into this matter. It is a shame that I pay for insurance on a fragile item, it never arrived to its destination, it was DESTROYED and I am denied my claim. P.S. The postal service! Hahaha! They lost my priority mail box which had an iPad that I sold on eBay. I had to refund the buyers money which caused an issue with something I purchased for myself on eBay. Weeks later someone calls me from the PO and tells me they have the box and it never left my state, Missouri. I told them to just give it back to me. Guess what? Yep they lost it again. I wasted hours getting a refund for $50! They wonder why we choose UPS or FedEx! Lol read more

Package to my work was being held because they tried to deliver on a Saturday. 8 businees days later I still had not received package. Called 800 # and wait time was an hour and 15 minutes.
