this was one of the worst customer experience services in my life. called because I had a package that was marked as "delivered to my mailbox" (never received it). apparently they had been holding on to it, although they marked it as delivered, because it had no apartment number on it (my receipt had my apartment number on it, so this was also the business's issue). I waited for 15 minutes to be lectured for not putting the apartment number in the address (I did this) and for not putting my name on the mailbox (I've lived here for 8 months and never been told to do this). thanks Maryland heights USPS!! Drop box for packages which is convenient. They have a number system for waiting in line because the lobby is small. Don't forget to take a number to be served. Regarding Covid: Sign on door states masks are recommended. However, masks are actually required inside. They will not serve you unless wearing a mask. I witnessed 2 employees not wearing masks, but customers must wear a mask. How does that protect anything? read more

I agree with other reviewers hands down the worst customer service around. There are plenty of other post offices around go to one of them instead! I admittedly hit the wrong button on the transaction pad. The clerk chastised me for doing it and said now I was stuck with what I selected. I asked if we could cancel the transaction since we weren't done yet. She said, "no, you really need to learn to read better". "You'll have to pay the extra $3." It's 3 dollars so not worth my time arguing. While I am completing the transaction, she tells everyone that they should pay attention to what they are doing and mumbles something about customers and their problems. This was shortly after the office opened for the day. I feel sorry for all the people who have to deal with this lady who clearly doesn't like working with nor helping the public. I've been here a few times now, and have been serviced by different employees, all of whom have been very pleasant. This P.O. location is very small inside, so it can get cramped during busy times; be sure to take a number. The parking lot is also very small, with a narrow, one way aisle, so finding a space during peak times can be challenging, and you should maneuver with caution. This location does not have a stamp dispensary, so you must purchase at the counter. Normally, this would be fine, but today a poor lady stood in line for a long time and all she needed was postage stamps. Although this location is lacking cosmetically, and in some aspects of convenience, the employees' sunny dispositions make up for it. They keep smiles on their faces and are always helpful and patient, even when the line is out the door. I truly appreciate the great service I have received at this Maryland Heights P.O. read more

I've been waiting for a package that's been held up at this 3rd World, Soviet Style Post Office for more than a month. I was told this is due to a limited staff. This post office make mistakes daily. I have a PO box because the carrier service in Westport area was so poor(wrong mail, missed deliveries, odd times) The PO box is not much better. Today I received 13 pieces of mail not addressed to me, I received 2 checks that were mailed 7 months ago and I am still waiting for payments that were mailed 2 weeks ago and never received. I receive wrong mail 2-3 times per week. I have mentioned this to post master and have seen no improvement. The customer service # has over a 1 hour wait time. USPS employees are mostly good hardworking people that care. Unfortunately the management at the Maryland Heights 63043 post office do not adhere to any standards at all. read more

Normally I love my office and its carriers. But postperson today left mailbox lid open, and all the mail got drenched, some nearly ruined, by rainstorms. The Maryland Heights (MO) office offers no easy way to deal with problems or speak with supervisors. I am extremely disappointed that USPS allows such poor work to go unanswered/unreported/unresolved, and hope it does not become a habit for this carrier and others!! No excuse. read more

When I say this post office is horrible .. it's an understatement !! The clerks in this office are hateful mean and unapproachable .. Joyce is hateful and not helpful at all !! I went in to ask her a question and she's setting there chewing or eating something did not want to get up and check on my package like it was the end of the world if she had to move from eating and was smacking on her food waiting on people on the front line .. unprofessional!! Everyone in there is hateful but Willie .. let me tell you he should get a raise Employee of the Year and the rest should be working on the side of the highway .. Willie is the most helpful person in a post office I have ever met . When I say he is helpful I mean it .. Willie love a the best worker and I dread going in there at all unless he is working .. it's like walking into a nest of vipers they are so mean and hateful .. if you hate your job so bad go home .. it's apparent you don't appreciate it if you can't help the citizens of Maryland heights any better than that .. I've never had such a bad experience where I thought it was necessary to leave a review. I had seen that my package was delivered to this location. I was in the area so I thought I might as well go and pick it up. I wanted to call to be sure that that was a possibility so I called and it took what felt like an eternity to actually find a way to talk to someone because there is literally not an option in the automated menu. Once I figured that out I was greeted by another automated voice telling me it would take 30 to 50 minutes for me to be connected. I decided to go for broke at that point and just drive to the location. After getting there I was told there was "too many packages" and I was "past the cut off time" so I would be getting it tomorrow. There is nothing more frustrating than being within 10 feet of your package and being turned away. I don't put too much on people after working in both retail and food for several years but the UPS in Earth city is about as useless as an evil crony in a John Wick movie. read more
