Went there for passport renewal for my son. I actually chose this office over the one nearby by my home because I've been to this office several times and people are always friendly and welcoming. You won't get that why are you here stare . Took little longer because of previous appointment ran late. We opted to take photo there and they gave back a 2*2 photo. Basically it's two photos for $15.00 Tips to save time during passport renewal: 1. Book an appointment online. You can't book same day. I would recommend just book it even though you are not ready with everything so that you have something scheduled. 2. Visit before and get the passport form and fill it before appointment date or download the form online. 3. Bring a check book or have cash for money order 4. Don't worry about required photocopies. As long as you have originals, they are happy to make it for you which is not mentioned anywhere on website . 4. If you are applying for a minor under 16 and if both parents has to be present and sign. If not get DS-3053 signed in front of notary. read more

The tellers are very rude!!! And why have I been waiting 20 minutes for a supervisor!! Absolutely ridiculous! No help at all, and I could just feel The racial hate!! Sat there for 30 minutes and then they said "the supervisors on a video call and they take hours" well thanks for telling me after I've been sitting there for 30 minutes!!! Always professional service from the ladies and gentlemen that serve us in the post office. They don't have the easiest job and many people walk out when they see a line but I am always gonna wait in line. The Creve Coeur Post Office isn't my favorite. 1. It's always busy. 2. It's difficult to drop off mail here. When you get out of the drop off line if there are other cars waiting for the light you can't get out to merge into the line of cars to get out of here. Also the left turn light is extremely short so you could have to wait several cycles in order to get out of the parking lot. Sad face. read more

I will start by saying Patt C. could not have explained the horrible drive through situation better! It is so annoying, and I have gotten stuck in awkward situations there. On the other hand, I love their 24 hour self service machine. It is easy to use and even easier if you're using their Priority Mail flat rate envelopes. I really prefer using this friendly little machine versus waiting in line. I have had to wait in line sometimes though. The line can definitely be slow-moving, and I've actually had people try and jump in front of me! Hello, rude. But most recently, I had to ship some documents (about 30 pages) to Eastern Europe. I went to Fedex, and they quoted me $120 (!!!!!OMG?!?!?). USPS shipped it for $48 with tracking and their International Express service. Kevin (I believe?) was very helpful and patient with me filling out the customs forms. I really appreciated it (and felt bad because I definitely held up the line for a bit!!). read more

This Post Office is super, like CRAZY- busy. They have a self service machine- but often the mail slot to put your package, mailer, mail in is stuffed full on Sunday's. Items seem to take longer to be delivered from this Post Office- maybe due to the volume? The plus is the lobby is open 24 hours. Not the cleanest Post Office around. read more

Unfortunately we are stuck with the worst of the Post Office locations around us. I will echo the rest of the poor reviews here, our packages are always several days late. We paid extra for a bday gift to arrive on a certain day prior to leaving out of town the next day to attend said bday. The package never showed, I called their office and they indicated they would have a direct truck bring it out early the next morning....the direct truck never showed. Our package finally delivered that afternoon, however we were gone by then. It has become a running joke in our household that if we order any packages and USPS is the carrier, we don't even follow their tracking info as it will be late undoubtedly. I have had some really bad experiences with Charlene at this location. I have witnessed her talking down to others and overall making customers feel as though they are stupid or a burden. She refuses to listen when you try to ask her questions or explain something to her. She will not even try to empathize. If she doesn't like what you are saying, she talks over you and belittles you. Going to USPS should not make you feel anxious and should not be a big deal. I would like to add that the other workers are generally nice. Nikia, I think her name is, in particular is extremely efficient and very friendly. I wish Charlene would follow her example. read more

US Post Office - Creve Coeur and the Main, Downtown St. Louis office. Ever have a problem with the US Post Office? What results did you get? Better than mine, I hope. Guess, again, if you think they care or if you'll get any help at all!. Shouldn't a 'Certified Letter, Return Receipt Requested' get special handling? I think so. It costs $5.54 rather than 44¢ to mail one. That's more than 12 times the rate of a first class stamp! I mailed a VERY IMPORTANT letter this way on March 31st. It has legal and high monetary implications, and was time sensitive. It NEVER got delivered. It NEVER got returned to me! (I had an slightly incorrect address, although I had the same incorrect address over a month earlier, and it did get delivered. It was the correct post office and zip code. NO Return receipt was sent to me.) NO ONE returned my calls at first. Customer Service didn't, the manager of the Creve Coeur Post Office didn't, the Postmaster General of St. Louis's Office didn't either. FINALLY, the manager of the Creve Coeur Post Office (after he had been conference called with me on Monday, the 12th) called late afternoon to confirm the letter was NOT DELIVERED and he DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE where it was! I asked who's responsibility it was and he replied. "I don't know." WOW! Don't lawyers and accountants suggest we mail important documents this way? In private industry, a customer service person who knows customer service and cares about customers, would have sent a courier to my house immediately to pick up and hand deliver the important document. Finally, after another call, they did pick up the letter, and, lo-and-behold! - Delivered it the same day. (I received the signed, return receipt card the next day, inside an envelope from the Creve Coeur Post Office. It's a shame it wasn't done correctly the first time. read more

this post office is filled with idiots and lazy employees. We have a business in Creve Coeur and we recently closed our office to remodel for 2 months. We set up and paid for a po box to receive our forwarded mail. Never received any. We kept stopping in and checked our empty box, they claimed we received no mail. Many of our vendors invoices were returned as no forwarding address. So we mailed an envelop to ourselves to check and sure enough we got it back some three weeks later, no forwarded address When we reopened our postman deliver a stack of mail that they were carrying around for weeks waiting to deliver. I try to avoid this post office, if I can. The drive-through for dropping off mail is extremely difficult to maneuver, especially if there are other cars waiting for the light. A few days ago, by the time I got myself situated in the lane for a right turn out of the post office, I was halfway into the right lane of traffic on Ballas. Thank goodness the post office was closed, so there were no other patrons in line to get out onto Ballas, so I could back up to get out of traffic. It's a really, really, really tight turn. Inside, on numerous visits, I've always found extensive lines and few stations staffed. Not a good combination. I don't know if: 1. The customers have many, many transactions to conduct when they get their time at the station 2. The customers are asking for highly intricate and complicated transactions to be conducted 3. The clerks have difficulty handling requested transactions, because they're not trained well 4. The clerks take time handling requested transactions, because there are so many per customer, and they want to be precise 5. Everybody's old Or perhaps a little of all of the above. read more

Charlene is very rude and unpleasant. I was in line behind an old lady and I witnessed Charlene yell at her and tell her to go away, even though she had patiently waited in line and was very polite with Charlene. It turns out Charlene wanted to charge the lady much more than the going rate and turned belligerent when the lady simply asked her why. Charlene refused to answer her question and told her to scram. I later found out the lady went to another post office and was able to mail her letter for one third the amount Charlene demanded. It turns out the lady just needed to turn the address label 90 degrees to get the lower rate (some arcane rules regarding length and width - go figure). Instead of informing the customer, Charlene chose to be rude and unpleasant. Shame on her! If you ask me, she should be fired. Of course, that won't happen because of the union. No wonder the postal service is losing money. No for-profit business would survive if it couldn't fire its bad employees. The next time you go to this post office, let Charlene know what you think of her treatment of little old ladies. read more

The postal station at Richmond Heights, Mo. has one large mailbox to drop mail in, however whenever I go to deposit my mail before first pickup the box is always running full to the point mail is coming out of drop shoot. If I can suggest that either mail be picked up several hours before first pickup which is 3:15 or (preferably) place anothe mailbox at this location. read more

A-OK. It's a post office. They can ship packages. You can buy packing tape and stamps. They can be busy. It would be nice if they would give you a tiny piece of tape to retape a box rather than making you buy a whole roll of tape, but I get they may not be allowed to do so. UPS has often assisted me in taping up boxes (or retaping them if they felt the box needed more tape than I had used when initially boxing), and UPS didn't charge me ~$5 to buy a roll of tape. read more

Wow, I just had the worst experience imaginable. I own a business in Creve Coeur and had an issue with the delivery of a package. I received a call from Lacoura? and called her back only to encounter the worst attitude, nothing but dismissive cop-outs for what happened, and ultimately she hung up on me. Keep in mind she had called me and I was calling her back. She said she was a supervisor, which is a shame. I would stay away from dealing with this location. If I could find out who the postmaster is I wouldn't hesitate to let them know what a bad representative this person is for this location. Very unprofessional and not helpful. read more

Pros: lobby is open 24/7, flat rate boxes usually in stock, and self-service machine in the lobby means you can buy stamps or buy postage any time. NOTE: if you're dropping off packages in the slot next to the self service kiosk, be aware that it gets jammed VERY easily. I'm not sure if it's because it was designed poorly or the angle is incorrect, but it's quite common for packages to not slide in completely. This causes the slot to not open all the way. Sometimes you can jiggle it until the box falls in totally, but often you'll have to wait for an employee inside to get it unstuck. They do not check this slot regularly. Several times I've wanted to just drop off my package and leave, but couldn't because the slot was jammed and had to wait in line. Cons: very long lines. It doesn't matter how few people are in front of you. You will have to wait a considerable amount of time. There's usually 2-3 workers assisting customers, but they work very slowly. They're also very apathetic. read more

I have been going to this post office for years and after my visit today I will never go back again. The associate assisting me with my shipment refused to help and yelled at me. When I asked to speak with a manager, the manager also raised her voice at me. After leaving the post office in tears I will never again go to the Ballas Rd location. Over the years, I have written two letters of appreciation to the staff at this facility. Now, this year 2011, the year of "Poor me I'm broke Post Offices," the letters from me will forever cease. Apparently, the manager feels that we need to get used to inferior service. Let's begin ------ 28 Nov 2011 --- mailed a 8.5 in. X 11 in. bubble mailer using the machine in the lobby. Machine "spit out" a first class stamp for $2.88 and then was mailed at that same facility. On 01 Dec. I received that package back saying "insufficent" funds. On that same day, I went back to this facility to complain. Was told by a supervisor that "well, you didn't have enough postage on it." Gee, I guess that was my fault that their machine is NOT ACCURATE. The facility paid the 32 cents or whatever but my package is now many days from being delivered. On 02 Dec. I am still upset so I called the manager. I told Mr. McClain that if USPS would not shut down the machines then USPS should take responsibility to let the mail go thru if done by the machine. Well,his response to me was "the machines stay and whatever happens, happens." Now, I come from a generation that does not know the word "impossible." So I said "and you are happy with this?" He said, and I quote "THAT'S THE WAY OF THE FUTURE." Holy smoke, America has no chance to survive with attitudes like this. Well, I can't save America BUT I can warn you that IF YOU WANT YOUR MAIL TO ARRIVE ON TIME - DO NOT USE THE MACHINE. Need you heed this warning? I frequent this USPS to mail packages inside. It seems like many of the other more negative reviews are for other things (e.g. the drive-thru mailboxes). I have had consistently great experiences mailing stuff inside. The salespeople are extra friendly and helpful. There are a couple who recognize me now, and I am not exaggerating when I say that their positive attitudes cheer me up every time. So much so that I got my PO box here, as opposed to the several other USPS locations much closer to me. As for the wait time, there are times when you do have to wait 10-15 minutes (usually primetime on Saturday), but that has been the exception, not the rule. It is nowhere near as bad a wait as the one you'll find at the downtown USPS, the USPS in Clayton, or the unbelievable every-single-time wait at Brentwood. read more
