Ive been to this post office twice. Both times the front desk woman has a terrible attitude. She is rude and treats customers like they're idiots. Customer service does not exist when she's front desk. I will update with her name soon. Public Servants are there to provide service to the public. I got there at 1:25pm before they allowed passport walk in on Saturday. Mind you I have autism child who can not sit still or wait. I can't come I. Any other days since my sons therapy's are straight after school and I can go weekends. the lady up front told me directly that there weren't going to see because there was a big line in front of me. Mind it was 1:25 when I lined up and they tell me this at 2:05. One hour before they close.... Horrible service horrible workers horrible location. Walked into this office on 12/19 at 2:40pm there was only one person at the counter an African-American lady who was helping a male customer. Ahead of me was another female customer, so I thought this is gonna be quick. I was returning some stuff from SHEIN and they didn't give me the option to go UPS. Behold, it took 15min for the post office lady to help him out who finally notice that the line is getting longer and longer throughout the door. She calls for help, Mexican lady, couldn't get quite her name. Maybe Julie but I could be wrong, anyhow, she had this frown on her face like she didn't want to be here. She called the next customer and helped her out, but she was never smiling and having attitude. When it was my turn, I showed her my QR code. The items were in the package but I didn't had tape to close it. She was unwilling to tape it when I asked. She could have just take the label and seal the bag but she said I had to tape it myself at home. I understand that, it was my fault but she could have made an exception since I waited 15min+ in line and go beyond. I mean it doesn't even need packaging tap to close the bag, every UPS store does it, so does FedEx and Wholefoods with return., however this Spanish lady, she had to be in her grumpy mood playing authority, trying to charge me $3.99 for tape. I asked her if she could just tape it with the QR label but she refused! No wonder this post office gets such low rating. They have terrible customer service! They don't know how to satisfy customers and they are definitely not happy with their job!!! Would never come back here again. The post office service and not only this joint most places their service went down. UPS is far way better! Unfortunately I have to return my items with USPS but definitely not coming back to this place. Tustin place is much better. After all this is Santa Ana, nothing good to expect here. read more

****Herbert**** the old African American cashier at the USPS on 1st street is very impolite. He treats Hispanics very poorly. Especially if they don't know English. I am sure he is racist. I have to treat him like crap every time I go because I am Hispanic myself and I don't like the way he treats people. I am not sure how management allows this type of behavior. I have never been to a post office where I feel uncomfortable. He can make others feel really uncomfortable. The behavior he has should not be tolerated. I was very polite since I've seen him and he was always rude. So now I act the same way when I come across him. P.S He also needs to brush his teeth because he throws out a nasty odor!!!!! Even slower than the other Santa ana location. They r so rude. If we are asking a question it's because we have no knowledge. Need happy and younger staff. Life moves fast. We don't have time to be at the post office for almost 45 minutes for something super simple. read more

Just terrible! No one answers the phone for hours. Then when you drive to the office the employees are lazy, incompetent and extremely slow. The employees spend more time explaining why they cannot do something for you, something that is standard at other USPS locations, than trying to learn how to do their job correctly. Customer services by phone and in-person - Extremely poor horribly. Mailed my legal documents via certified with return signatures to City of Santa Ana. Mails are showing in transit since 07/30. Two weeks delayed within City of Santa Ana. The 2-weeks delayed to City of Santa Ana is causing a financial harm to reassess of my property. I called the USPS where I sent the mails from. Got hung up on placing call again, Mgr Brigette answered but they said their job was to ship the mail to the next location of USPS, and don't know where my mails are. Asked my to call the next USPS on Bush for status. They never acknowledge or apologize for the delay. NEVER, I will never use USPS again. read more

They close very early. I explained the people inside that my job its far away and by the time they close the office 5pm I cant arrive on time to pick up the item when they leave a yellow paper in my PO BOX. They see you but they ignore you as trash and the asian guys there are very rude and tell you: what do you want? What kind of customer service is that? The people at this post office are always very nice and courteous. There's never a long line which is always nice and convenient. Even when there is a line, they seem to process everybody very quickly. I always enjoy looking at all the greeting cards. It definitely helps to pass the time while you're waiting in line. read more

Staff are slow, have no sense of urgency and lines are long. I once had an employee come from the back room to an empty register, ring one person up, make eye contact with me, and then slowly amble back from whence he came. While I was waiting in line with a bunch of aggravated customers. What the hell. Also, while you're in line, some self-centered, arrogant folks have the nerve to bypass the line and walk straight up to the register, yet the postal worker doesn't politely ask them to get into line. They decide to help them on the spot. So if you want prompt service, ignore the line, pound your fist on the counter top and demand to be served this instant. I won't do that myself since I'm a civil human being but from my experience that appears to be the best course of action if you want to leave the PO while it's still daylight. read more

Worst service I've ever received at any USPS. The staff and management seem to have ZERO ambitions to actually help you. Without hesitation I cancelled my reserved PO Box; to say the least I am looking for a friendlier staffed facility to do my business. Update: the only supervisor that is really helpful is Leo! All the other employees are rude and act like they don't want to be there. Especially Herbert, the line was really long out to the P.O. Box area and he decided that it was time to take some boxes to the back rather than he'll shorten the line. He is by far the rudest employee there besides the manager Bridget. She gives you attitude when you talk to her on the phone. Whenever they ask to get your number and they will call. Don't bother giving out your number, they WON'T call you. Employees here needs to be replaced ASAP! read more

This place has the worst customer services I ever seen/heard. I spoke on the phone with a guy name Marvin or so. I explained my problem about forwarding wrong mails. I said I did the forward more than a year ago. However, the stayed person's mails are still sent to the moved person very often (because of the mail-sorting people (they misread our names. He said they didn't do the forward after a year. Then I (the moved one) asked why I still got wrong mails that often. Then he said he didn't understand my problem. I repeated the conversation at least 3 times and he still said he didn't understand. I was calling from a landline. He was super rude to refuse talking to customers to resolve their problems. I don't know how they still let him work there. If your job is about customer service, you should be nice. Zero star! read more

It has been THREE years since we have had a regular mail carrier and as a result, carriers that deliver our mail do it solely as overtime and they are usually new, too tired after their regular shift, or they deliver the mail super late at night (as late at 10pm sometimes). As a result all these carriers don't pay attention to the address number so we are frequently getting the wrong mail or our neighbors end up with our mail often. This week, we did not get mail for two days. This has caused many of us to miss important communication and to fall behind in our bill payment--which is NOT ok! We have tried working with the post office staff and it is clear they are understaff and are doing what they minimally can with what they have. I ask that if the Post Master from this post office reads these reviews that he work with the post office staff and his upper management to permanently staff this route with a regular mail carrier so that they do not make the same errors over and over again and we can resolved this for once. We are desperate and don't know what else to do! Please helps! read more

JUST TERRIBLE customer service! I went and there and I am usually very nice to people and I usually ask them how they are and how their day is and well I did that and the man working there just ignored me. He was very rude and I always feel like I am not welcome here! Next to me there was a man named Albert who I saw being so rude to a woman next to me. Please don't come here, Now I only come here to drop off packages at the quick drop off section, SO RUDE! Just whatever you do, please don't come here, if I could give this place a 0 star, I would. Do not use this post office! I have had too many bad experiences here and it just keeps getting worse. The staff is rude and could not follow my instructions. Once I dropped off some mail here (my tax forms) and they got lost and I had to resubmit my tax forms elsewhere. There are no automated machines here like other places. They used to have a self service machine but they took it out. Today I tried to give them another chance. They failed miserably. I will go out of my way to find a better post office from now on. read more

This place is great if you hate waiting in line as there was not one person inside except the 1 mute post office clerk. When I walked up to him he didn't say 1 word to me, no joke! I told him I needed stamps he sold me 2 books and that's it. I think he was Vietnamese, if I had to guess? Now I only gave it 2 stars, 1 for each cockroach I saw walking around the office! So gross and dirty in there! I have the worst vision but these 2 giant roaches were the size of a small dog that I even saw them!!!! Went in to drop a prepaid package as usual but, I was told I had the wrong box for my package for the second time. I requested information as to which box to use and instead I was sent back to get in line again. Got called to the desk again, this time by the the manager. I informed him that the previous customer service agent told me I had the wrong box and that I needed to know which was the correct box to use according to my label. Oddly enough, the manager himself sent me back to the first person that told me I had the wrong box. I went back to that person as instructed by the manager. I approached the customer service agent again but, he ignored me and asked the for the next person in line. I guess they don't like to help repeat customers. Well, they won't see me again. I hope I don't get the same treatment when at show up at a different Post Office. read more

I am a resident in city of Santa Ana, so this the post office that delivers my mail and packages. They have lost 2 important packages of mine. I called to get some answers and they were extremely rude. I rushed over there to get answers a second time and they acted like they didn't care. This is the true reason why i don't want our government in charge of our healthcare. Cuz it will turn into a trip to the post office. Come here and find that no one at this post office gives a F*ck about anything. Long lines, jaded employees who go out of the way not to help you. I tried to turn in a prepaid postage package from amazon and he told me my package was overweight by .5 oz and i needed to go home and print out a new label. I tried to tell him i don't control the postage thing at amazon for returns and he said not my problem. I then ripped off my label and told him to ship the package. He then told me his computer and weighing thing was down. I asked him if he can get fired for lying. He told me the same thing like a robot. I rolled my eyes at him and proceeded to let him know what I thought of his dung eating demeanor. And left to go to my normal post office that employees human beings and not jaded blood sucking parasites like they do at this location. 1. The staff needs to reflect the community by that I mean you need more Spanish speaking staff. 2. There were two people working but one of them Becky was the nicest, most patient, helpful post worker I have ever experienced. She did take her time, but i didn't perceive it as slow, simply not rushing. My best Post office experience, and that is saying a lot. read more

I honestly hope someone reads this and does something about my issue. I got a letter in the mail stating that I will no longer be getting my mailed delivered unless I put my dog in the back yard or move my mail box. I got this letter right after I witnessed the mail delivery guy grab the mail smack my fence around and smacked my dog. That's when of course my dog barked. I happen to be on vacation that week and let me dog out in the front yard. I just want to make one thing clear we work Monday thru Friday and my dog is in the back yard 95 % of the time. This mail man happen to take video of my dog barking and he took it up to his manager MARVIN. I find the most disturbing part that he didn't video himself provoking my dog. Little does this mail man know I have cameras all over my house I wonder what the police will say if I release my video maybe animal abuse??? My whole neighbors are sick and tired of this mail man. I tried calling the manager MARVIN and the way he treated me over the phone was just sad. I couldn't even get a word out to explain myself. Bottom line is I don't want any trouble I just want my mail delivered to my house. My dog will no longer be in the front during the business hours the mail gets delivered but did the manager hear me out nope he did not he only yelled at me over the phone. Not to mention he called me names. Very very sad that the post office has people this MARViN working for them. It makes me sick that a person is out there delivering our mail and provoking our dogs the way he does. read more

Honestly the worst customer service ever!! I don't even know how the US Post Office is still in business. I went in there to report an incident where my mail was fished from their dropbox, (Luckily my bank caught on to the person trying to cash my mortgage check!) I asked to speak to the manager to inform them of the incident so that they are would be aware but apparently she was gone for the day. Another employer came out to talk to me with the nastiest attitude, he wasn't very pleasant but I gave him the information. He then said what would you like me to do it's called "fishing" they do it all the time! In a very uncaring manner, all I wanted was an "OK thank you!" He was so nasty! He didn't even let me finish my sentence. I much rather pay for UPS or FedEx to ship my mail or my packages from here on out! Very rude customer service. The manager is the worst. She belittles you and does not care one bit about the customers needs. She abuses her power. I tried calling nicely to fix an issue but the man on the line did not care at all, was not helpful and was extremely rude. He didn't even sound professional. He just asked me "Okay and why are we having this conversation." He even hung up on me. Some of the employees don't even speak fluent English and very little speak Spanish. They are bad at giving you information. No help at all. They're not flexible. They only try to humiliate you and make you feel like you did wrong when they did a mistake. read more
