I had to ask him at least three times to stop yelling at me--even though all I was asking was that mail service resume at my new home. I bought my Weatogue house in August, and got normal, routine delivery for months. Then suddenly nothing. Not even junk mail. Ruiz claimed that they had no record of my house existing--it's been there since 1976, and as I said, I had received normal mail service at first. I just wish I had videotaped the encounter--I hope they have surveillance video there, so I can show Mr. Ruiz's supervisors what an ordeal I went through.

Small neighborhood Post Office in the Canton Village shopping center. Lots of parking and very…read moreaccessible. Pretty small service counter that can see its two stations get backed up fast when crowded. I saw a really nice example of tactful customer service today. I stopped in around 10 AM to mail some of the newsletters I edit and stamp some outgoing mail. I overheard a transaction between one of the clerks and a customer whose credit card wasn't being accepted by the machine. Instead of routinely dismissing the guy with a curt "You're card's been rejected" (we've all seen that before, haven't we?) he very tactfully said something like "hmmm our computer isn't reading your card, it says there is some sort of error, you'd better check with your bank and make sure everything is OK, I'd hate to see you in the supermarket and have a problem if you're waiting to buy food for your family". I just thought he was very humane and considerate and handled an embarrassing situation in a stellar manner. Nice job !

It's an all brick, fairly large building, with a decent amount of parking spaces. The inside shows its age, but as long as the job is done, it doesn't matter. There were no customers waiting when I arrived. They had me fill out a customs form for my package, in the minute it took me to fill it out the line extended by two. Thankfully the wait was short. The two ladies working were pleasant enough, but I could tell, they'd rather be doing other things on this Saturday morning. Should you need to purchase packaging materials, tape, stamps, or greeting cards you can find them at this post office. They provided me with the tracking number, which I have shared with the recipient. This is a nice post office in town, that will satisfy your shipping needs.

Memorials are everywhere signifying events in colonial America. I've lived in Simsbury since 1987, and have visited the Simsbury Post Office at 932 Hopmeadow Street conservatively 200 times. I never noticed this plaque until today, and I only saw it because my car battery was dead and I was standing outside waiting for the AAA truck. At the front of the Post Office, in a strip of grass near the drive-up mail boxes, is a stone monument with an old weathered plaque. The inscription reads: Entrance to Pent Road 1668-1787 THIS ROAD LEADING TO THE RIVER CROSSING WAS A DIRECT ROUTE TO WINDSOR IT WAS USED BY THE MILITIA ON THEIR WAY TO BOSTON IN MAY 1775 PLACED BY ABIGAIL PHELPS CHAPTER D.A.R. 1935 So in other words, Colonial American soldiers walked here about 238 years ago. The shootings at Lexington and Concord happened in April 1775 a month earlier than the date on the plaque. Who knows what fate awaited these men. Did they fight the Redcoats in New York? Or New Jersey? Or Quebec? Did they end up living through the brutal winter at Valley Forge? Did they fight in North Carolina or South Carolina? Were they at the decisive Battle of Yorktown? If they did, their rendezvous with destiny and history may have had a stop in Simsbury........

Sent a Priority letter containing a gift to my elderly parents. The tracking number stated it was…read moredelivered but my folks never received it. They asked neighbors to see if someone had gotten it mistakenly but no one had it. I called the Granby PO who initiated a follow up with the postal employee to try to retrieve it to no avail. There was an automatic $100 of insurance connected to this so I filed a claim. It was denied. I called USPS in Granby to see what else I could do to have my flame accepted and be made whole of the $50 that I spent. I did not know that something sent by Priority Mail that is a certificate or a gift card is not covered by insurance and the screen did not give any warning or question about gift cards. It only asked about things like liquids, so I did not understand why I was being spoken to as if I should have already known this. When I asked the postal employee about it, I was met with a rude response. I then said that I did not know how I could be sure a postal employee had not stolen it, and the employee became upset and said they did not appreciate my implying that the mailman was a thief. That was not really what I meant, but I felt I was being talked down to and treated as if I was ignorant and that she was both telling me I was stupid for not knowing and out $50. The postal employee was rude, and the postmaster was rude as well. Overall, the staff did not seem to care about helping, and I was very disappointed with the experience. I wanted to share this so others know to be cautious when dealing with this post office.

The customer service was cordial and professional. There were plenty of parking and it's located in the Canton Village plaza. The UPS is your typical looking UPS store; it has all the supplies you would need to ship/pack items out. There were printing services and office supplies for purchase as well. You can have color pages printed for 25 cents and no minimum. Other services include: Notary Shredding Passport photos Faxing and scanning Mailboxes Blueprint printing This is my go to UPS store and I will continue to use them.

I tried to politely tell her that she could be a lot nicer to customers and thats when Bret (Manager) stepped in and started to give me his attitude. He states that every time I go in there, I seemed to have an attitude and told me not to take it out on them because I had a bad day. The gull of him saying that!!! He cuts me off, after trying to explain the situation with my experience there every time, and tells me to have a nice day. That I don't get to talk to his employees that way. Hands me a business card and said you can called the number on the card and brushes me off. Crappy service. I'm surprised the owner hasn't addressed this and that they are still in business. Unprofessional with LOW IQ and High attitude issues. Not one customer should experience this. And from the reviews I've read, it seems like a lot were displeased with the service from Management to staffs. They need to go!!! I have seen a young kid with a mustache consistently treat specific customers in a very rude way…read more.. not looking them in the eyes, when they say thank you he doesn't say anything back. He brushes them off then interacts with other customers. Today was the second time I saw this. He's super rude, at first I thought it was just that one particular person, but he did it to someone else who looked exactly the same. Prejudice in the workplace is not a cool thing. I guess I have to drive farther for another location, I can't support that type of business.
