This post office has the most awful couriers who do not pay attention. I've had at least two handfuls of packages delivered to the wrong mailbox. I have a block style mailbox so the courier has to pay attention to what apartment they are putting it in and somehow can rarely manage to put it in the correct one. It becomes a major inconvenience considering it is items I've ordered that cost money and I have to hope I get them whenever the person who received my package is honest enough to bring it to me. it is currently the holiday season and I need my package between a certain timeframe, I would've gotten it on time had the courier delivered it to the correct apartment. I'm getting entirely fed up with this, and it needs to be corrected. read more

Takes sooo freaking long just to get 1 package.. they had 1 person working there with 15 people in line. The girl working took her sweet old time spends at least 30 minutes with 1 customer and chatting away about things non related to the business.. I hate going here because of it. Very unprofessional. Get more workers or talk to that lady.. it's Saturday at 1130 why don't u expect it to be busy.. very annoying. 3 people left because of it. I have a package in the community package box. The key was left in my mailbox. The key does not open the package box. I may have meds in the package that I cannot access. I have called the local post office in West Richland WA multiple times but nobody answers the phone. Frustrating. Not a way to operate a tax payer funded service. read more

So, I recently got pushed into this Post Office's zip code (I live in Richland, but with a new zip code, lots of us Richlanders got pushed over to West Richland). I'm not going to complain, because this Post Office is dope. The people I've met at the counter have always been helpful and hella-nice (there's this one ole timer who's freakin' funny, and always crakin' jokes). Ordered original glass painting. Packaged extremely well with fragile written everywhere. Boxed with lots of cushion and even centered in the box. It was insured properly. The box shows up with a hole punched in it and the glass shattered. All well documented and forms filled out. Four months later along with multiple hours of forms and visits, the claim is still unresolved. I feel bad for the artist who now has to eat the costs. read more

Not sure what has happened but the mail delvery from this post office is nothing but pathetic. Mail delivery used to be good and prompt in my area...now, it's a whenever issue...makes it hard when you have critical mail or date sensitive turnaround mailings. read more

New girl with long dark hair working. I couldn't see her name tag. I checked pricing to mail a box before going to the box office. Cost should have been around $60. The clerk said it would be $165!! She said that was my only option. I left with my box. I double checked usps website when I got home and the $165 was Priority 2 day shipping, regular shipping is $60. Please train your clerks before putting them at the counter to work alone. Its over 100 degrees outside and now I am on my way to FedEx to mail my box for $55. I will be taking all my boxes to FEDEX from now on. read more

It's big. Parking is minimal. Staff are friendly, albeit small-town so the line waiting is sometimes long. Long time - residents- retired, elderly amid fragile citizens are welcomed with long good memories. read more

On a regular basis my neighbors and I have to call each other to exchange our mail. Today I opened a door there was a "sorry we missed you" slip. 4 people and 4 dogs were home. All they had to do was knock or ring the doorbell. This is getting old. On the other hand the staff at this location are wonderful. I wish I could say the same for the letter carrier(s) at my home. Last Christmas a very expensive item was left on my neighbor's doorstep. If we didn't know that it was "delivered" per tracking we wouldn't of looked for it. My neighbor is Always home and a little knock is all it would of taken. read more

I sent a package over the holidays to my mother, but had put the wrong address. JT, the Supervisor, worked diligently to locate my package and had it delivered to my mother. Recently had new mailboxes assigned. They are the tall, multi box units. We were assigned the top box. My wife and I were unable to get to the box due to some physical disabilities. I called the post office to see if we might be able to get a lower box. Within a week, J.T. was able to get us another box that we can access from our car. I'd just like to mention, I had a really good experience with this office in the past three days. Any time I've ever ordered a package and had any sort of problem receiving the package, it's prettymuch been gone forever. So, when I checked the tracking on my most recent order and found that it was marked delivered over a week and a half ago, I immediately lost all hope. I contacted the seller on eBay and also checked with the office at my apartment complex, but there was no package to be found. When I called the post office expecting to have to yell at somebody to do their job (I've worked in customer service, I know that the person on the other end of the phone isn't personally responsible for my problems, but sometimes you just need to vent), the guy who answered was so nice and helpful that it caught me off guard. He took my number and told me he'd get into contact with the carrier and give me a call back when he had some info for me. Two days passed and I hadn't gotten a call, though it was the weekend so I wasn't expecting much. I called today (Monday), and as I started to read him my address, he said "Wait, yes! I actually just talked to the carrier about 45 minutes ago! He found the package and put it in your box!" Checked the mail when I got home, and sure enough it was there. I know this is just a stroke of luck for the most part, but I just needed to post a review because it's the first time that I've ever had a good experience with a mail carrier of any kind. I was expecting to call in and have them tell me there was nothing they could do. So, good job West Richland Post Office guy. You've made my week. I've had multiple issues with this office. Packages being put in the wrong box. Found multiple people's mail laying on the ground near the boxes including mine and my roommates. Got a notice of a certified piece of mail. Went to the office to pick it up, waited for 20 minutes while they looked for it. They lost it!!! Good Job with good benefits you'd think they'd be better! The lady that works here is pretty rude. She treated me like I was an idiot that was making her life difficult because I walked up with the wrong customs form and envelope (having tried to get things ready in advance). Then she asked if I wanted tracking and acted snobby when I said yes; she told me how much it would cost as if I clearly couldn't afford it. She just made me pretty uncomfortable, especially since I kept trying to be accommodating and she would respond in a rude manner. read more

As far as post offices go, this is one of the best around. The staff were very helpful for a novice like me. They taped up my package with their tape and provided all the information I needed. My only complaint would be that they need more staff at the counter to handle the long lines. read more

This review is getting two stars because of the trouble I've had specifically with this office. I had a package coming to me that was supposedly delivered three days ago, but I never received it. I've been trying to get a hold of them via phone for the past two days and almost every time I call I get a busy signal (all day today and yesterday after morning). I've talked to two separate people who have taken down my tracking number, name, and phone number, both of which promised to call me back that day and neither have. They are very hard to get a hold of and are not following through with their customer service promises. read more

this post office has some of the nicest people ive ever had the pleasure of talking to, their very knowledgeable and helpful. recently I had a piece of important mail that was late in getting to my residence, when I went to the post office to find out what happened, they searched for it and when it finally came into their office , they actually called me back and held for me to come get it. now that's service , and they weren't flustered at all about doing this, it was service with a smile. sincerely MR.
