Sometimes I put in a request for a parcel pickup. I put the parcels by the front door, exposing them to risk of theft, but often enough, my carrier doesn't bother picking them up. So, by 4 pm, I finally start calling the post office. Although they are open until 4:30, the call doesn't get answered. No one picks up. Verizon finally disconnects the call. I redial, sit on the phone again for several minutes and still no one answers. I am an eBay seller and eBay evaluates me on my shipping time based on the tracking number. I lose financial incentives when I seemingly mail parcels two days late instead of within a 24 hr. period. So a carrier not doing his/her job actually costs me money. If they don't scan the parcel into they system when they pick it up, or if they don't bother picking up at all that day, and I can't reach them to alert them, eBay assumes I didn't ship it within the agreed upon time. That's a strike against me. The staff at the counter are all very helpful whenever I go in there, but some of the carriers are either poorly trained, not focused on the job at hand, or just don't care. Perhaps they are holiday or vacation substitutes. Perhaps they are understaffed and overworked. I only know that pick-up service can sometimes be a frustrating, maddening mess. read more

Wrong mail delivered to my house ppl watch out for your mail I've told winona post office nobody will do anything

If I could give a lower rating I would. I've lived all over the country and have never dealt with a less competent post office. Besides getting mail that isn't mine far too often my biggest problem has been my own package delivery. I've called several times asking them to please leave packages inside my porch, and they just keep leaving them on my porch stairs. All they have to do is open the door and leave them there. But apparently that's too much to ask, and today I just had another package stolen. I've never been a fan of privatizing the post office, until today. read more

Awful! Several times I've run our delivery person down rather than take her error, wrong address, delivery of the package to us instead of correct address. But when it comes to simply raise the flag when there's mail, she can't be bothered. A LARGE note, politely written, hangs in the box.No matter there's no attempt to make that one-second move. Now a package that arrived at the PO yesterday didn't get delivered. But no one seems to care. AWFUL inconsiderate, and a real grump. Winona, west of Zumbro. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, we have gotten other people's mail and never got packages that said they were delivered. People are extremely rude when you call to figure out what's going on. Super irritating. read more

Had a passport appointment for 10 am and the woman went on break for an hour during my appointment. My appointment was supposed to be 15 minutes (10:00-10:15) and I didn't even get help until 10:45. Absolutely ridiculous. Why let someone make an appointment if you're not even gonna be there. read more

Package not delivered even after given a very explicit instructions, No one available to answer phone, even if it is Sunday they still need to be someone there to screen when you screw up and this isn't the first time they have done so. I've had to request Amazon not to deliver on Sundays as this post office is so messed up. Who do they blame for their failures, Amazon, when it is their job to do the deliveries. Best post office ever. The employees are fantastic. Super nice and fast. Never have to wait in long lines!
