Ecologics has a family-style vibe with a few other staff members. They have a relaxed environment with a pretty happy attitude. I don't think I could even imagine anyone getting upset in the office. The class sizes were about five people on average. This was nice since you get more attention versus larger size class. They have two instructors teaching these classes. They usually mix it up to switch up with teaching style and scheduling. I enjoyed the two courses I took with them, and so I returned to take the CAC prep exam. I worked with their instructors over three days and had a 1 on 1 session with them for several hours. One of them even stayed over extra hours just to make sure I understood the material. As a result, I passed my CAC exam on my first try. It's pretty easy to say that I couldn't do it without them. I highly recommend this school to others. The only tip I would add is at times to the instructor might get off topic, just remind them here and there and you should be good.

The only thing you really need to survive AFA is a sense of humor (that goes for the guys too) I remember sitting in college, debating whether it was the right path for me or if I should take the leap and pursue a trade. I'm beyond glad I did. I have absolutely no regrets about attending AFA. Ralph, Ronnie, Doc, and Kyle not only taught me during my time there, but they continue to teach and support me even after graduation. Whether I need extra practice or advice, before an interview or for a weld test their doors are always open. Luke, Robert, Marcio, and Gus have also been incredibly supportive and instrumental in helping me grow in my welding career. Never in a million years did I think I'd find myself in aerospace, but here I am and I couldn't have done it without the amazing team at AFA. From day one, the American Fabrication Academy taught me the foundational skills I needed to enter this trade and gave me lifelong mentors I now consider family. Before attending AFA, my only work experience was babysitting. After graduating in March, it took a little time, but by May I had job offers from SpaceX and Anduril Industries at just 19 years old. I'm beyond grateful for how much this school helped me during and even after the program. If you're looking for a trade school that truly cares about your future not just your tuition this is the place. The staff here go above and beyond to set you up for success, and that support doesn't end when you graduate.
