However, instead of writing purely out of frustration, I want to highlight the areas that truly need improvement because the experience has been devastating, disappointing, and frustrating for many students. One of the biggest issues with this school is the lack of an open-door policy when it comes to student concerns, guidance, and resolution. Unfortunately, it often feels like it is "the school's way or the highway." Students frequently feel unheard, dismissed, and undermined, even when bringing forward serious and valid concerns. Another major issue is the constant policy and program changes. Cohort contracts are changed unexpectedly, resulting in students attending longer than originally anticipated. In addition, students are sometimes required to retest under circumstances that feel unjustified and poorly managed. For example, my cohort took our exit exam on May 8th, and many of us passed. Days later, we were informed that the exam had been invalidated due to vendor-related errors. Imagine the emotional distress and disappointment that caused after students had already worked tirelessly to succeed. Situations like this should be prevented through better oversight, communication, and coordination with testing vendors before exams are administered. The school also lacks empathy and flexibility when students face real-life challenges. Many of us have families, jobs, financial responsibilities, and personal hardships, yet accommodations are often discussed and later retracted. As a nursing school that teaches compassion and patient-centered care, it is disappointing to experience such little empathy and support toward students. To future students considering this program: understand that your concerns may not always be acknowledged, even when they are valid. Many students feel unsupported not only by the school administration, but also when attempting to escalate concerns externally. I will say there are some positives. The grading scale is fair, the online theory format can be convenient, and there are several excellent clinical instructors who genuinely care about student success. However, management, communication, consistency, and student advocacy need significant improvement. There are only a few theory instructors who truly stand out positively. Additionally, the heavy reliance on ATI and Capstone testing may work for some students, but not everyone learns the same way. Success cannot be measured solely through repetitive testing strategies. Many students succeed because of outside tutoring, independent study groups, determination, and personal discipline. Nursing schools should recognize that different learning styles require different approaches. Overall, my cohort experienced a significant amount of stress, inconsistency, and frustration throughout this process. One of the biggest reasons I enrolled was because of the school's promises regarding career support and help with employment after graduation--but that support was not there when I needed it. In fact, due to poor communication and lack of follow-through, I lost out on a job opportunity. Career services was often rude and unhelpful, and when problems were brought up, they were rarely addressed or taken seriously. I constantly felt like I had to chase answers instead of receiving support as a student. The most frustrating part was near graduation. I was told my graduation would be delayed because of an alleged unpaid balance--even though I had made all my payments, including my cap and gown, with no missed payments whatsoever. I almost missed my graduation entirely because no one contacted me to let me know there was supposedly an issue. The only reason it was caught was because I called them myself. For a school that claims to support its students, my experience was the complete opposite. This process caused unnecessary stress, frustration, and disappointment. Students deserve better communication, accountability, and support than what I received here.

The curriculum is scattered, the instructor is constantly distracted with her midwife job and checking her phone during class, and at one point she didn't even realize she hadn't shared the venipuncture video before sending us into lab. On October 1st, she didn't show up at all, and another person, Linnea, "taught" us by reading directly off a slideshow, giving unclear or incorrect answers, and providing no real guidance in lab. In lab, I personally witnessed unsafe practices: being told to draw from a swollen site after already being instructed not to, the instructor palpating after the site had already been cleaned, lack of proper tourniquet disinfection, improper PPE use, and students reusing contaminated equipment. Even the parking lot felt unsafe. A woman filmed me while I was arriving. Linnea herself has admitted she feels unsafe at this location, told us to park in a better-lit area, and even said she's afraid of someone "popping out of the bushes." When I told her about the incident of being filmed, she grabbed her keys and asked me to point out where the person went. I told her where but said it wasn't worth my energy or safety to confront the individual. Her response was "it's worth my time" and she quickly went upstairs. I stayed downstairs because I was not comfortable or safe confronting someone who had just been recording me in my car. After three days, I decided to withdraw. I sent a formal email requesting a refund (which the school's own staff confirmed I am entitled to within the time frame). Instead of addressing my email, Linnea left me a voicemail saying she found out I dropped "through the internet," which is unprofessional. She obviously received a notification that they got a one-star Yelp review, and the level of unprofessionalism is only being exacerbated by her response. This program is not safe, not professional, and not a place where students can truly learn. I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Every time I asked for help they referred me to websites that make resumes for you. Not helpful. I think they only have one connection for externships that is all the way in Mission Viejo. If you are going to do a program, I suggest you go to a school that actually cares about their students and outcome after the program is finished. I felt like time and time again they gave me the run around and were not actually helpful at all. I wish I would have done my research better. This program might have been great at one point in time, but it definitely fell off. My cousin went to a school in Santa Ana, AUMT Institute that definitely cared for their students and wanted to see them succeed. I also earned my AA degree from a junior college, so I was already familiar with being in school and taking state exams. While attending this school, I worked as a notary notarizing loan documents, which gave me the flexibility to support myself during the program. The truth is that I have had a passion for nursing since junior college. Although Nursing is an intimidating career, I could not ignore the feeling that it was calling me. I entered the program one month after it had already started, which made the beginning very challenging. I barely slept at first, but once I adjusted to the pace, it became manageable. If you stay focused and put in the time & work, you will graduate. You must study, read the required material, and follow your instructors' guidance. At the time, our exam preparation for the NCLEX was through ATI. I graduated from the 21-month LVN program in July 2021. I was a COVID-era student, and although hospital clinicals were limited, we still attended clinicals when allowed. I completed several days at a local community hospital in Norwalk. Since graduating, I passed the NCLEX on the 1st try and have done well with my LVN license. I worked in a hospital for about 8 months but realized it was not the best fit for me because I wanted to help my patients more quickly without waiting for RN's to push IV meds. I now work at different rehabilitation healthcare centers (nursing homes) and sub Acute, which I enjoy. Overall, this school helped me take my first steps as an LVN, and I plan to pursue my RN in the future. I recommend this school to anyone willing to stay disciplined, prioritize studying, read their books, watch learning videos, and support their cohort. If you truly commit, you can succeed. This school works with you and its up to you to put in the work at home, if you put in at least 2 hours of study for every 1 of class, you will breeze through it. The ATI program we used is very helpful, master it and use it often. If you treat people with respect they will treat you with respect, that's everywhere.. I am putting my son through this program as soon as he's out of high school.
