This dealer ended up being some of my credit unions preferred dealers, so they said I could just let the dealer and bank communicate and they would take care of all the paperwork and I would pick up and sign after work. I had test drove elsewhere and was just trying to find the color vehicle I want. A month or so later, I get a letter from GM financial-explaining why I wasn't approved for a loan----ummm why would I apply for a loan if I had a pre approval for $35K at my own credit union, I contact the dealer, and they email me back with this BS email. I then check my credit and they not only ran my credit one time, but through 4 different places. And in this email, you will see he only admits to running it once. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!! DO NOT GO THERE!! Bunch of LIARS I responded to this email with a screenshot of my credit report and told him he was a liar, and crickets

They have been servicing my mothers car for years. I drove the car a few days ago and discovered…read morethe brakes were mushy along with metal on metal brake noise. Went to Mike's to see how soon the could get to her car for a brake inspection/repair. About a week was the response. I replied pencil the car in and if I find somewhere to get it done earlier, I would call and cancel. The response was "I don't do business that way" I left. I made arrangements for the following day with a national auto repair shop. After the inspected the car, they said the rear rotors and calipers were so rusted they were inoperable and the front were 90% gone. The replaced the brakes. My concern was with Mike's safety inspection and servicing procedures - it appears the brake system is not part of that process.

Gutwein is a 4th Generation Family owned Ford dealership in the small community of Monon Indiana, and the family and staff gave great service and delivered a great product and wonderful service to us. If I didn't live and hour and a half away, I would be doing more business with them. I found them to be great people.

In a car with a 100 mile range that reduces to 60 or so on the highway, I realized it would be a Challenge. I needed a final charge to get me the last 30 miles. I researched my options, and found that Gutwein has a charger. I called and asked if I'd be able to use it, and they said, "Sure!" So I arrived with barely 5 miles left on the "tank" and found the charger blocked by a gasoline-using truck. Ut oh. But wait! Employee to the rescue! When they saw me pull up, one of their staff members immediately hopped up, turned on the charger, and moved the truck. I hung out for about an hour, used their bathroom twice, and they never tried to convince me to change cars or get my tires rotated or any of the other things I was afraid of. So, there are some good people there. If you're wanting to buy a car, check them out, if only because kind humans who do things out of that kindness, rather than from an ulterior motive, are few and far between.
