He needed a car so we…read morerecently purchased a car from Riverside Auto while. 1 week after buying the car it was making loud noises so I took it to a shop and found out the sway bar and tie rods were bad. There is also a HUGE hole under the floor board carpet where I can see outside the ground. I called and spoke with a lady who answered the phone at the lot and she said oh well you purchased a care 'as is'. I chalked it up to that, well a week after that the car broke down while my son was still in Cincinnati. He was pretty much stranded and took car to a shop and had to replace the entire engine. During this time the temporary tags expired but still NO TITLE from Riverside. Local BMV had to call them and then they mailed it out. I decided to call Riverside and spoke with Dale & JIm and expressed my frustration over buying a car from their lot is such BAD shape. They told me to bring car in and they would look at it to fix sway bar / tie rod, but couldnt give me estimate on cost. I told them we are not from Cincinnati and how can I trust anything with the lot and Dale hung up on me. RUDE and poor service. If i could turn back time I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR from their or their lot. 4300 car has turned into 8000 . UPDATE... Just got title in the mail and they spelled the last name wrong... Clearly they do their paperwork with the same level of quality as their cars!!

Absolutely terrible experience with A1 Diesel. Truck went in for an issue that clearly seemed…read moreelectrical related, they had the truck for 2 1/2 weeks with very little real progress. In the end, THEY ended up taking it to Clark Power Services because they were simply incapable of figuring out what was wrong themselves. Clark had the issue figured out in roughly 3 hours flat after A1 had the truck for over 2 weeks with no real findings. The issue ultimately ended up being a bad ECM, something they could not properly diagnose on their own. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. It felt like they were just throwing parts at the truck instead of properly diagnosing anything. I can't really say communication was awful, but by that point I was honestly so burnt out dealing with this situation that I had almost stopped caring altogether. Losing time and money like that gets old quick. While the truck was there, I also had them replace the steering gearbox. Got the truck back and immediately realized something was seriously wrong -- I had roughly two turns to the left and only one turn to the right. They had both connection points installed on the wrong teeth on the gearbox. Because of that, I had to miss out on even more work and take the truck BACK to them to fix their mistake again after the fact. So basically, they charged me almost $5,000 to replace a steering gearbox and couldn't even get that right the first time. It should be common practice to actually check and make sure the truck works properly before sending it out the door. I also had to spend around 2 hours trying to figure out why my air conditioning suddenly wasn't working after getting the truck back. Turns out they had pulled the A/C relay and never put it back in. On top of all that, I then had to take the truck to a THIRD shop to actually get the ECM swapped out because the truck is EGR deleted and tuned. That part isn't really A1's fault if they don't want to work on deleted trucks, but overall I ended up off work for roughly 3 weeks, over $10,000 deep in parts and labor, not even counting the thousands and thousands of dollars lost from downtime and taking the truck to an incapable shop to begin with. All of this for an issue that took Clark roughly 3 hours to diagnose, and my trusted shop less than 2 days to get the ECM ordered, tuned, installed, and the truck back on the road. 3 weeks. 3 damn weeks. I will say the people there seem good hearted and kind, but in my opinion the shop feels heavily staffed with younger mechanics who just don't have the experience or knowledge yet to properly diagnose and work on semis. That might be okay for small jobs, but when your truck is your livelihood, guessing and trial-and-error repairs get expensive fast. After all the downtime, stress, lost work, and repeated issues, I would not recommend A1 Diesel to anyone who actually depends on their truck to make a living. Save yourself the stress, wasted time, and wasted money and go somewhere else.

I decided to take my car to them on a Thursday evening (right before the 4th of July weekend), not only did Homer fix my car in a very timely manner, he was reasonably priced, actually if I am being honest, he was priced below the other shops I called. My car called for 3 hours labor (according to Chilton), I know Homer went above and beyond to get me my car back in a timely manner. Also I would like to mention the receptionist, Betty, she was friendly and welcoming. She was thorough in giving me a written quote and said depending on the anti-freeze I needed for my car, the quote would only be off by a dollar or two. In reality my invoice was around $10 less than what was quoted. Upon leaving, Homer came in and told me that if any issues arise, to please let him know. This was my first visit to this shop and I would have to say, I will be back (hopefully not soon though). As a woman I felt as though they were being honest and upfront with me. I have never felt comfortable in any mechanics shop. I have also never felt as though I could trust the mechanic was being honest, until this experience! Please consider using a different collision shop. I took my car to woods to fix a small dent /…read morescuffed paint from my car being hit with a baseball bat. After about 2 or 3 months post being fixed, the paint cracked. I then took it back for a second time for the cracked paint to be fixed. Once I picked it up the second time, the fixed area of paint was raised / had a bubble almost under the paint. Keep in mind this is a very small area on the side of my car that was done wrongly not once, but twice. After the second time, I called and spoke to the manager. He denied any issue with the quality of work that was given and requested photos to show the issue. He failed to contact me back and I went through my insurance regarding the issues with Woods. They have since been taken off Nation Wides list of shops they work through. I will include photos to show the lack of quality. Lastly, there is a complete lack of professionalism in there front office and with management.

The main issues were quality of work and customer service. Quality of Work: Several items from my insurance claim were missed during the initial repair, and even after the repairs were done in stages, I experienced recurring issues (e.g., electronics malfunctioning) only after driving the car off the lot. Customer Service: Communication was poor, with a lack of clarity on timing expectations for a replacement for a faulty part included in the original fix. Despite the shop eventually accommodating me once the part arrived (something I only learned by calling them myself), I faced further frustration when issues continued after the repair, when I drove off the lot. When I suggested they test cars in motion to avoid rework, I was dismissed as not being an "expert" and told to sit and wait, which I did for an additional hour, while this new issue was being fixed. Additionally, my car was always returned dirtier than when I dropped it off. In short, if you're considering Wood's Collision, proceed with caution. Document everything and be prepared for poor communication and potential rework. I could have just had bad luck, but felt the need to share my experience with others.
