I went to urgent care, and the doctor told me I had calcific tendinitis (calcium deposit in shoulder). I was referred to physical therapy, where they gave me exercises to do. But honestly, I couldn't even lift my arm, how was I supposed to do those exercises? I asked my physical therapist how long the recovery would take, and he said it could be a year or longer to get back to 100%. I was really worried. I couldn't cook, or get dressed normally, or do simple daily tasks. And my favorite hobby, pickleball, was completely out of the question. A friend told me to try acupuncture and recommended Dr. Quan because he had helped her with her shoulder pain. I told her I'm afraid of needles and didn't want to go, but she kept telling me, "Just try one session. It doesn't hurt." I finally gave in because I was so desperate, and I'm so glad I did. After my very first treatment, I noticed a big difference. For the first time after weeks, I could reach my hand out for a handshake. My range of motion improved, and it gave me hope. After my fourth treatment, I could raise my arm high enough to do a salute. Around six weeks into treatment, I had a follow up appointment with my physical therapist. He was shocked by how much I had improved in such a short time. He asked what I had been doing, and when I told him I had started acupuncture, he was very impressed with my progress. About two months later, I was back on the pickleball court. At first I played with my left hand, and before long I was playing normally again. Thank you, Dr. Quan, for helping me get my life back. I honestly didn't think I would recover this quickly. If you're dealing with shoulder pain or limited movement, I highly recommend giving T-Quan Acupuncture a try. I called to ask if they can do labs and testing she said YES. She said on the phone they could do a blood draw and test for potassium overload. When I got there she said I needed to be evaluated and the dr. Would decide if I needed to be tested. I ask how long would results take and she said 3 to 5 days it goes to a third party lab. So NO YOU DON'T DO LABS!! If you lie to me once you don't get a second chance. I will be looking somewhere else for my urgent care needs. Training is key. UPDATE: The response isn't what I was told. It wasn't a miscommunication problem. Your girl, I came in contact with needs training. She is the first person the public comes in contact with. I don't remember her name but I remember her attitude. I ask specifically if you did labs and testing her answer was NO we send it to a third party. So Instead of leaving an advertisement for your business in the response you should use your time to train your staff. I don't need to discuss this further you know what you need to do.

Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

With all the healthcare fraud and breeches...there was so way I was going to do that. The receptionists at ContinuEM were super nice and got me checked in within 5 mins. Never did they ask me for anything financial other than my copay which was expected. Once I saw the doctor, boy was he thorough. He explained what was going on, what to expect and what I was doing that could make things worse. They gave me a steroid pill right there in the office - no need to go to the pharmacy! And they observed me after I took the pills to make sure I didn't have a reaction. It was actually a good thing that Exer didn't work out!

I just said, "Ok, I guess that's it". I felt helpless at this point. She then replied with, "okay"! And walked off nonchalantly. I stood there for a few seconds before realizing a nurse or aide was not coming to offer me an after visit summary, and escort me out. I then found my own way out. It made me wonder would she treat a non-minority the same way she treated me. I understand they have their own limitations, but to be treated so nonchalantly with lack of compassion is the upsetting part. Are bedside manners nonexistent now? I understand people have their off days, but this was completely unacceptable. Maybe consider another field if helping people doesn't bring you any sense of fulfillment. I will be reaching out to speak with a manager if possible.

She also incorporates color and sound therapy into her acupuncture treatments which are highly relaxing. She explained that the color and sound therapies can also be used alone for children and grown-ups who might still be afraid of acupuncture needles. Her treatment left me feeling relaxed and less bloated. I slept like a baby that night. It was an excellent treatment. I will make time to see Louise more often.

Before I went for the surgery I asked Karina if there was anything she could do. She said yes and after ONE!! treatment the trigger finger went away and it has been away for FIVE years. I saw her today for shoulder pain and after a one hour treatment it has improved. And here is the best part of going to Karina. Not only is she an excellent practitioner, but she listens and talks with you for almost the entire session. In this way you get to understand why she is doing what she is doing and invariably getting great advice on items you didn't even go in for. She really is a special person.

My whole ordeal began when my little niece spent the night and woke up vomiting and coughing. I knew it was just a matter of time before my 3yr. old and 11month old got whatever that nasty bug was. Sure enough, he goes on to have 100-102 fever for a whole week with a runny nose, a horrible cough, and vomiting. Saturday night we end up in the ER with a 104 fever and find out my niece is also in the hospital diagnosed with adenovirus, RSV, and viral pneumonia! I am horrified, but the doctor assures me that a 10day round of amoxicillin and tylenol are all my two boys need to get over their ear infection and/or pneumonia. So, we go home and two days later my oldest boy is still laid out on the couch hardly moving with no appetite, coughing his brains out, vomiting phlegm, and still has a constant fever and my little one is also coughing. I turn to one of my dear friends who practices Traditional Chinese Medicine in Colorado and she urges me to find a pediatric acupuncturist nearby, and thanks to yelp I found Sarah and I am forever grateful! Her energy over the phone immediately calmed me and without hesitation she offered to do a house call the next day! What Dr. do you know who does that?! And for a very reasonable price mind you! In the mean time she offered up a list of natural, holistic remedies to start with my boys. The next day Sarah was in our home and she did some cupping, neddle-less acupuncture, and massage. Sarah spent 2hours with us, and the entire time she was gentle, focused, and patient with my little ones. She left us with some stickers, which my boys loved, and herbal remedies, and even more recommendations to speed up their recovery. Within 1 day of applying all of Sarah's instructions and prescriptions we were seeing results! My sons fever finally stopped and he started to eat more. Every day since then my boys have improved and Sarah has checked in with us and continued to guide us towards getting our babies healthy again. Only 5 days later and my boys are up and running around, no runny nose, no vomiting, no ear ache, better appetite, and hardly coughing.
