Our family contacted this company about installing a pool lift for accessibility needs related to quadriplegia. Five weeks ago, we met with company representatives, who gave every indication that the company would be able to help us. Over the next five weeks, we made repeated follow-up calls and received little to no communication. Only after another call yesterday did the owner finally respond, and the interaction was extremely unprofessional. My wife was told to "be quiet," that they were not going to help us, and to "forget about us" and find someone else. A company has every right to decline a project, but there is no excuse for ignoring a disabled client for weeks and then responding in such a disrespectful and dismissive manner. USA Pools is run by a Tom Braun who sets the tone for his team . Unfortunately that tone is " you are doing him a favor " HE NEVER RETURNS CALLS.... EVEN WHEN THERE ARE MAJOR ISSUES. The same attitude carry through to his 2nd in command Josh. He is nice at first but then becomes an Arrogant individual to deal with. I know several homeowners who have gotten rid of him because of his attitude and lack of returning calls. One in particular ... Tom cursed out. I would caution you About using Tom and USA pulls and highly suggest looking for other pool builders and weekly . Once I switch companies the new service company found so many issues with equipment that they install that was wired incorrectly shortcuts. Proceed at your own risk. read more

lets just say under promise and over deliver is his moto....communications skill are sub par at best.. below is a email received from the owner Tom: This is Tom informing you now. Good customer relations requires the customer not to act like a spoiled child. We have been in business for over 30 years and have excellent relationships with over 900 service accounts (started with none!). We are one of the leading pool builders/service companies on the East Coast. ALL of our work is based from customer referrals. You don't get to this level by having poor relationships or poor service. Unfortunately this year has everyone in a tail spin and some things aren't perfect. So spare me the lecture on customer service. Go back and read ALL the text messages, not just one single one. There are other text messages to you explaining how bad it is right now. We CAN NOT call or text every single customer every day just to inform them that nothing is happening. It's just not feasible. We're working non stop to get our projects done. We have 54 in progress now! This is why I DID NOT want to start your project. So, you have two choices. Stop with the bullshit emails or call another pool company if you think they can get it done sooner. We did not create the pandemic or the chaos that has been the result of the pandemic. I tried to explain this to you that we're really backed up and the gunite company is still 6 jobs behind. So again, there's really not much that can be done at this point. You can go with another company and we'll walk away. You can keep the hole and the rebar and we'll go our separate ways. We can not work with customers who are going to be irrational and not understanding of what's going on right now. There's only 4 gunite company's for the ENTIRE east coast and we have 1 who works for us exclusively. The earliest that you'll get gunite is July 12. Then I'm informing you now....it will take another 3-4 weeks to get the people to do the work to finish the pool. So most likely looking at mid August completion, possibly earlier after we get past the craziness of the holidays and things get better. Let me know if you still want to proceed with us. Very very bad company. If you have a problem it will not get fixed. The owner Tom Braun is a good talker,but does not come thru with his promises. Go somewhere else. His price might be good but his service stinks. read more

I highly recommend USA pools to our owners. Pools are serviced twice weekly AND the staff is all over the island so issues are addressed quickly. Liz at the office is a pleasure to deal with. Five stars in my book. read more

Tom Built my pool and we couldn't be happier. He promised us a date and delivered even with a pandemic happening. Tom's help with the selection process was only possible from this years of experience and Cleary from his knowledge the comes from building so many pools. Great seasonal service at a competitive price. Especially in AV where they come twice a week.

I used USA Pools, what a mistake. They sold me the wrong type of pool cover...it took over 2 weeks for my pool to be clean...and they would only come to me on the days they were scheduled. Because I was not nearby in Avalon they would never come for emergencies! They dropped all Margate customers last year only a few months before opening. Tom would rarely return calls. We hired USA pools to design a pool for a new house we were building in Stone Harbor in 2014. We worked with Tom Braun and found him very easy to deal with. He talked us through the process, drove us around to various pools so we could see what he had done in the area, built the pool on time and on budget. We have continued to have him service the pool for the last three years and when we have had a problem that needed attention, the service was handled promptly and efficiently.
