My 2005 Malibu is all I have to get me to and from work, grocery shopping, church and socializing--- it's sooo essential! Christian Brothers are thorough, skilled, and give me estimates upfront so I can fit work my car needs to my budget. My car comes back better than it wa Top shelf quality here! UPDATE: I have a n(used) vehicle, a Honda Accord named Ms. Daisy. Christian Brothers takes care of her with the same superior level of service. The only shop that will ever touch my car.

I wasn't going to leave a review because frankly I couldn't be bothered to waste any more time…read morethinking about this place but my most recent car issue that was a direct result of their incompetence has prompted me otherwise. Here are 5 reasons why I will never bring my vehicles here and why you shouldn't either, or at the very least you should question everything. Which is unfortunate because you should be able to trust that you are getting good work done (which does not happen here, please read all the bad reviews and listen to them) 1. we brought our mini van here for alternator issues and because we have insurance this was one of the approved places. When given a quote for the repairs we questioned why the bill was so high when we had insurance to cover the issues. We were told it's because the insurance was only covering a portion of the cost and we had to foot the rest. Well we called the insurance ourselves and told them what was going on and they said that we should not have to pay that much and that they approved everything. We then went over the estimate with the insurance company and found out that Christian Brothers had given the insurance a much lower estimate than they gave us and were trying to charge us for that difference. When we confronted Christian Brothers about the discrepancy in prices they told us that it was a mistake on their end and the lady who had done the estimate had not dealt with insurances before. Basically their mistake would have cost us an extra thousand dollars had we not questioned them and talked to the insurance ourselves 2. When going over the final price for the repairs they assured us that the price included everything and would not change anymore. When we went to pick up the car they tried to say that the price was an additional hundred dollars more because of diagnostic fees. Well we argued that with them and they eventually dropped the price back down to what was originally quoted. 3. They approved repairs without calling and discussing it with us even though I explicitly asked to be informed of any repairs before they completed them. 4. They completed repairs August 18th and today (September 8th) I took my car to Jiffy Lube on Saratoga and Weber (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE) for an oil change, while there they informed me that my coolant was low and topped it off. I left there and drove to HEB where I noticed that my car was leaking orange fluid. Immediately called Jiffy Lube and they came out to HEB and inspected my car for me and informed me that the hose for the coolant was not properly attached and had come off resulting in the coolant spilling out. They then reattached the hose correctly and refilled my coolant in the HEB parking lot for free. They reviewed the footage in their garage showing they had not touched the hose and were not responsible for the leak. With that information I went back to Christian Brothers to bring the issue to their attention and the manager admitted that their technicians did not replace the hose correctly resulting in the coolant leak (which could have been disastrous had it not happened when it did because we are road-tripping with the car tomorrow) For this very stressful situation that was a direct result of their incompetence they gave me a coupon for a free oil change with them, which is worthless to me because I will never go there again.

This place is right next to Burger King on King Avenue. It's easy to overlook but don't miss out…read more After my experience at the local Walmart here, I was determined to go somewhere else for my oil change. However, there were no reviews for this location but I thought I'd give them a chance. The service here is really quick and easy. I dropped off my car and the employee said it should be done quick. I went to HEB real quick and the oil change was done (10-15 minutes later) right when I got back. I'm used to oil changes taking at least 2 hours so this was a nice surprise. They even wiped my car down for me! I never had an oil change go by so smoothly. There was a line with about 3 other cars in front of me but they were still able to get my car done so fast and still performed all the checks, along with wiping down my car. If you want a quick and efficient oil change in Kingsville, I'd definitely recommend giving them a try!

Avoid at all costs. Belligerent and incompetent management…read more Car in question: 2016 Mini Countryman - Oil leak after oil change & Second visit. I dont recall the manager's name but he was a short man with tattoos, piercings and a felonious attitude. He was confrontational, threatening, abusive and tried his best to intimidate me. *The issue started on my first visit. They changed the oil on my car and it started leaking the same day. Once I came back there, they told me the drain plug was defective but it after my visit, it did stop leaking. That means one of two things: Either they forgot to tighten the drain plug the first time around or they damaged the drain plug and decided to say the plug had been damaged before the car came to Valvoline Express*. My meeting with the above manager happened the SECOND TIME, I returned to do an oil change and brought up the incident to the manager. He proceeded to explode at me and because of that, I decided to leave and not have the oil change done. One detail was I made sure to ask the store manager to add NOTES to their system the first time around when I returned to have them inspect why the leak was happening. Reason behind it was, I wanted to make sure the next technicians who touched the car would know to pay attention to the oil drain plug and to tighten it. The belligerent manager told me that there were no notes at all and thus, I was making up the story. I have to tell you that all the oil change techs were polite and professional. The issue I had was with that "one" manager. And if my review was sent to the Area Manager for further investigation shows me that you are interested in the reputation of your business, but the fact you are unaware of any altercations or incidents that would have caused me to post this, shows me you're either naive or you're pretending to be. Or worse yet, you are turning a blind-eye to your management behaving inappropriately with your customers. That is contradictory and I dont buy it. If you want to make good on this issue, publish the name of your belligerent manager on here with his working hours, so the public can be educated on when to avoid visiting your shop.
