Very disappointed. Buyer beware. Revolving door of Md's whose qualifications are questionable. (Not from accreditation of Board of medicine, but of their experience with vein treatment.) Felt I was mislead about costs. They charged my insurance co. And got paid over $5k. Yet , I still have discomfort (post laser). Had been expecting that toWorse then than ever spider veins and constant calls from collections!! I more than once informed the front desk people I was on a budget and need to be crystal clear as to my expected out of pocket costs. They lied. read more

Hello -- Please do not use this service. I had a procedure done in the Columbia, Maryland Office. I later felt pain in the procedure site. I called the office for 10 days. The answering service for 10 days assured me that they were emailing, faxing and contacting the office to call me. NO RETURN CALL FOR 10 days. Of course, I went to emergency. However, I am still waiting on the call from the office. THis is day 11. Vein procedures have risks. Risks that can end in death from blood clots. I pray that this office reads my review and cancels who ever they hired to manage their phone calls. PLEASE, do not use this company it is not worth it. I was scared for my life. All I needed was a return call. I got NOTHING. :-( read more

This doctor convinced my wife of having faulty valves in her legs. He did a pecedure that led to a permenant numbness to the spot where he injected one of her legs! My wife complained to the doctor, but he kept telling her that the numbness will go in 4 to six weeks. We are 9 months later and the spot is still numb. read more

My experience is beyond disappointing. I went for treatment only because I felt my leg a bit heavy and because it runs in the family. I knew I had to do treatment sooner or later. I am 38 years old and my weight is about 120 lbs. I was even told I could wait. But I paid out of pocket, cash around $2500 -$3000 for one treatment and ultrasound appointments. I was assured that is enough. But after the treatment I feel pain worse than before, and very uncomfortable. Something I didn't had before. Today was my 3 months check appointment and same leg still need additional 2 treatments, not surprised here, but additional $2500 and that is not including ultrasound cost. I cried after my appointment. This is extremely unprofessional, I didn't expect that at all, considering my situation. If job was not done right first time, you do it right. But don't ask for more and more money, and next more and more treatments, I am not a bank. read more

I went to Vein Clinics of America in Schaumburg for treatment. Dr. Melin is great! He was extremely thorough in his explanations and walked me thru the entire process. He took the time to answer any questions I had. The ultrasound techs are knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The entire staff is wonderful; welcoming and friendly. I will start with the fact that I am a physician and have had vein treatments done MANY places and for MANY years. Vein Clinics of America has this down to a science. The results speak for themselves - my legs feel and look great. They work with your insurance to get the best coverage possible. My only complaints relate to the number of visits needed to complete the process, but it that is what it takes for the best results, then I will just deal with it! The staff has been nothing but kind and helpful, and Dr. Humphrey is great! I have referred many of my patients there after my good experience and they feel the same way. read more

DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! I give The Vein Clinics of America zero stars. Yelp makes you choose at least one star. I wish I would have read other reviews prior to my treatment. I was told I would only need one treatment, and after the first one I saw no results. I was asked to come in again so they could look, which I did and they did another treatment with "stronger solution" and still saw little results. Upon seeing the doctor when I was unhappy he agreed he understood why I was unhappy but said he "didn't know why it didn't work". I asked for a refund to which he said "the money wasn't his to give" and I'd have to go through corporate. I was promised Gary Rubin, I assume the corporate director, would call me right away. Never heard from Mr. Rubin. I've given the Vein Clinics the opportunity to stand behind their service and return my money, but they "denied" me. That took two months with me constantly calling to finally get denied. Added notes: my nurse doing my treatment, who was very nice, commented during my treatment that her eyes aren't what they used to be. GREAT! I could hear the Dr. swearing at someone on the phone during one visit and on another visit witnessed what I would consider sexual harassment. It was uncomfortable. Since the Vein Clinics denied my refund I promised them I would be writing a review on Yelp and sharing on FACEBOOK, not to mention telling all my clients, colleagues (I'm in the beauty industry) and fellow moms NEVER TO GO TO THE VEIN CLINICS OF AMERICA. read more

Very, difficult to get service. I had to call 4 times on different days to schedule my first appointment. When I did get an appointment I was rescheduled, then my regular appointment was ok'd, then I waited 40 minutes to be seen. The nurse and doctor were both great and the office staff seemed really good while I was there. I was told they would call me to schedule my next appointment because their computers were down, which was fine but then they never called. I attempted to call them within their hours of operation but was told by the call service that "they must have turned their phones over early". It just doesn't seem like they really want my business. read more

Horrible experience. Joke! Polish girls working in the office that do not speak English. Free consult was a joke! Mostly filled out forms and saw the doctor for a minute or so. Appointment took about 10 minutes, and I was asked to come back for a scan so that they could bill my insurance. They took my insurance information and on the next visit basically performed the scans I thought they'd do on free consult. Whole point was to get me to come back, so that they could bill my insurance. Come to find out after they accepted my insurance cards they sent me a bill for the remainder of the balance (surprise almost $2,000.00) they said I owed. I called their office and by the time I finally got a call back from billing was advised they didn't accept my secondary insurance card. Only one bill was sent and they had the audacity to send my account to collections. They are skiptracing and calling and harrasing my family and old employer saying lies (my name had a lunch date with Kenneth Young can you have her call me back, or I just got into a fender bender with my name. Do you know her?) Needless to say after a written cease and desist letter I sent; I will be filing a complaint to the IL Department of Insurance. Thank goodness I worked in Healthcare for so many years and know they should've mentioned not accepting my secondary insurance PRIOR to the actual service being done, or they have to suck it up and write off the balance. SCAMMERS! They falsely charged me. Cheated my insurance. DO NOT TRUST VEIN CLINICS OF AMERICA! They were in my network and all I was supposed to pay was my co-pay at each visit. They Manufactured a way to create a "balance owed" in order to avoid adjusted,agreed insurance adjustments, resulting in me paying Full Retail. VEIN CLINICS OF AMERICA WILL SCAM YOU. DONT TRUST THEM. I strongly recommend MIDWEST VEIN CLINICS. They are HONEST. read more
