From the very first session, they were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping me feel better. They took the time to really understand what was going on with my body and built a plan that felt tailored, intentional, and effective. And the results speak for themselves. I came in feeling stiff, limited, and honestly a little broken... and somehow they worked magic. I feel stronger, more mobile, and more in tune with my body than I have in a long time. It genuinely feels like they took me from Pinocchio to a real boy. Beyond that, the energy they bring is amazing: encouraging, positive, and super professional while still making every session enjoyable. You can tell they really care about what they do and the people they're helping. If you're even thinking about physical therapy, stop searching and just book with them. Absolute game changers.

Dr Ryan was experienced in treating these issues and over a short period of time under his care, I was pain free and back to normal. On my first session, he asked many questions about my sciatica. The most impressive thing he asked was what type of activities that I'd like to get back to doing if I didn't have sciatica. For me I wanted my short term goals to being able to do yard work, to be able to carry my dog into the car so I could drive her to a park for our daily walks and to be able in 3 months to dance with my grandkids at a annual community festival. With my short term goals understood, Dr Ryan made sure his exercises were geared to allow me to achieve my short term goals! At each session, he gave me massages that helped relieve my stiffness and his stretching and strength exercises during my hour session helped me feel better each day. Then I progressed to my more strenuous exercises. At the beginning of each session, Dr Ryan greeted me with a smile and asked questions about my current condition. When I did have pain on days prior, Dr Ryan immediately came up with a game plan for my session but also explained to me why I was having my symptoms. It was nice to know that he was a good listener and cared about making me physically better. I would highly recommend Dr Ryan Clarke to anyone seeking a diligent, caring and problem solving DPT!

I was initially skeptical, since I had gone to 2 physical therapists prior. With the others, I received general physical therapy sessions that did little for the pain and absolutely nothing to help restore my mobility. Needless to say, I was losing hope. Bart identified the root cause of my hamstring injury, and tailored a physical therapy program to build strength and balance. After several months of therapy, the hamstring pain vanished and I was able to resume my normal workout routine - running. What sets Bart apart from other physical therapists is his expertise, creativity in developing customized therapy plans, and genuine care about his patients wellbeing. If you find yourself in need of a solution for pain management, strength, or balance, you will be in good hands at Las Manos Physical Therapy.

I tried everything--from trigger point massage to acupuncture--until I discovered the Feldenkrais Method and began working with Georgia. The gentle, inquisitive nature of the practice, paired with Georgia's intuitive, deeply attentive guidance, completely changed my relationship with movement. Her approach helped me reconnect with my body, unwind long-held tension, and gradually return to a pain-free life. Her support was truly instrumental (pun intended) in helping me not only heal, but ultimately achieve my dream of joining the LA Philharmonic. I would highly recommend Georgia and the Feldenkrais Method to anyone dealing with chronic pain--or to anyone who's simply curious and looking for more freedom, ease, and awareness in how they move, both physically and emotionally.

Several specialists and an entire course of physical therapy did absolutely nothing for the pain and I was looking into alternate methods for an answer. I reached out to an Alexander Technique practicioner and to Georgia at the time. I gave both a try but Feldenkrais was clearly the winner for me. Georgia gives weekly 1 hr group classes where she guides you through a series of gentle movements that are designed to re-educate your body's habitual patterns. Chronic pain is often caused by some trauma or injury but persists long after the injury is healed. The reason for this is that neurological patterns persist and sensitized nerves continue to send off pain signals. It's like a switch that should have been shut off, is still on. The connection between the body and the brain is something Feldenkrais specifically addresses and reprograms if there is a dysfunction happening in the relationship. You don't do any stretching, workout or massage in Feldenkrais. The sessions are all about giving you the experience of new ways to move that are more natural and less stressful for your body. After taking bi-weekly 1 hr group classes for 3 months with Georgia, my sciatic pain was completely gone! It really feels miraculous after having suffered for 3 years. I really can't recommend her enough. You will find Georgia to be one of the most warm, compassionate and down-to-earth people you'll meet. She is a very capable and talented instructor whose lovely voice will guide you clearly through the lessons and she keeps a sharp eye to make sure you are doing the movements correctly. I was incredibly fortunate to find her and also fortunate that she decided to focus on the lower back and hip areas right at the time that I was joining her classes. She also gives private sessions when you are short on time and want personalized hands-on guidance. They are held in her beautiful private studio that is peaceful and immaculate. Her group classes are held at Yogala Studio every Wednesday at 9:30 am and fill up fast. Make sure you get there ahead of time!

Examples below. - Scheduling/Booking: At other PT establishments, I had no trouble booking online. Here, I'm unable to change my appointments online. I have to call (don't always get an answer) or text a number and coordinate with someone back and forth. Compared to online booking, this takes much longer and is overall less convenient. - Take home exercises: Here, my PT will text/airdrop me videos of my exercises and verbally give me sets and reps. After my sessions, this requires me to take notes of my own sessions and dig through my camera roll to find my exercises. At other PT establishments, my PT would update my routine online after every session. Their online platform let me see videos, and had notes regarding weights/sets/reps. Same concept, but I found that other establishments fostered a better client/patient experience by doing a bit more work in the back end. I'll reiterate that the PTs I've worked with here are excellent, their quality of care and expertise during the sessions is great. However, I do think other establishments with similar price points have shown more care for client/patient experience outside of the sessions, with easier scheduling and more efficient ways to access your care. Ultimately, this place is in a very central location for me, which beats out that of other establishments. I just hope to see some improvement in the areas not related to location and quality of care during sessions.

I never find myself writing reviews for anything, but I think I owe it to anyone looking to get out…read moreof pain, perform better in their sport, or just recover from an injury or surgery to share the experience that I, and four others, had after seeing Dr. Locatelli Rao in Pasadena. TLDR: He has been able to help each of us after we all were separately convinced that we had seen "all of the best" PTs/therapists/healers in California, Minnesota and Vancouver. I found him while I was training for an Ironman a couple of years ago. I had experienced a number of injuries while training that were starting to slow me down. Not only did those injuries resolve, but in later appointments with him I was able to fix my chronic shoulder/neck and low back pain that I had been living with for the last 15 years after injuries/surgeries from playing high school football and baseball. I can't put a price on what this has done for my quality of life as someone who values taking care of my health and fitness. Since then I have sent my parents, girlfriend and one of my friends to him and we have all had the same experience. Parents: Dad (ankle) Mom (meniscus) - - both of them are now pain free after they had been living in pain for the past two decades after each of their injuries. One of my best friends experienced a near-death skydiving accident. Broke 4 cervical vertebrae and tore his acetabular labrum (hip labrum) and had seen 12+ specialists to try to get out of pain and regain his mobility he had lost after being in a neck brace for 4 months. He was told that all of those specialists were the best in their fields/techniques but he only saw either marginal improvement (if any) or temporary improvement/relieve with them. After one appointment with Dr. Loc he regained most of the functionality of his left hip and is excited to go back and address his neck pain with Dr. Loc. For the first time in half a decade he is feeling confident that there is actually a path out of pain for him. My girlfriend had low back pain throughout her life as long as she can remember. After a single appointment with Dr. Loc she has not experienced anywhere near the intensity/frequency of pain that she was experiencing prior. Even a day of sitting too long at her desk chair would have her at 6/10 pain and now the worst she experiences is a 1.5-2/10 after heavy lifting/long hikes. (follow him on Instagram and you'll see dozens of case studies and other examples of this happening for other people as well) Put simply: We all call him a wizard and he is the now the first person we are all recommending other people go and see when they're dealing with any sort of pain. It's a long drive for me to go and see him, but I'd make the trip if it were 10x longer.
