By 1983, I was on line through the Presbyterian Church's PresbyWeb service. Since then, in moving around the country, I have had eight ISP's. I have been on old telephone modems, DSL, Hughes Satellite, microwave, and WiFi Radio. In 35+ years I have never had such poor service as I have had with Valliant Phone Company's Internet service. While I am told I should get 5Mbps download, I seldom get over 1 Mbps down, And it normally is 700 Kbps or below! I've had as low as 38 Kbps upload which is no better than my 1990 dial up modem. There is a private non-profit that put in their private service and have experienced speeds of 45 Mbps in tests. They had agreed to let me and several others get on their system. I cannot wait for the tests to be complete and say "Adios" to Valliant Internet service. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this service. Everyone I have spoken with about this service has had the same experience as I have had.

I have not spoken to a person associated with Suddenlink since we had the router installed. Their customer service number does not have an option to speak with a person and is mostly unhelpful. I have experienced several lapses in internet service for several hours on end with no explanation. I have not been able to use the Live Chat on their website either, as I'm unable to connect to their Live Chat server while connected to their WiFi. I do not recommend Sudden Link unless you cannot get AT&T in your location. Sudden Link has decent rates for this area, but due to the lapses in service and lack of customer service I do not recommend them and will not keep their service in the future.
