The dismissiveness began the moment he learned I was from Plant City, at which point he abandoned professionalism entirely and began name-dropping and referencing local beauty queens. It was bizarre, unprofessional, and insulting. He attempted to disguise this behavior as "providing truths" about needing a trustworthy medical team, yet most of his comments were thinly veiled criticisms of his professional peers. Following through on medical referrals is not mistrust of physicians--it is simply a patient taking responsibility for their health. Patients deserve honesty paired with compassion. Instead, I encountered arrogance wrapped in condescension and left feeling dismissed as a human being rather than supported as a patient. If you are seeking thoughtful, competent evaluation and education about your health, you will not find it here. I also recommend others with a negative experience file a complaint with the State of Florida Medical Review Board and the Better Business Bureau, in which he is notably not registered. And don't worry--he will likely reply with a self-promoting statement about being "world-renowned" or "award-winning." The first visit there was fine without a problem. The second visit there, the physician's assistant Jonathan wanted to give the patient a series of shots to prevent hep B. The patient and I told him that she would think about it, There were hospital doctors back in the 80's who thought they were making the right choice getting them who then developed autoimmune diseases from this vaccination. Plus the patient had stopped running around the streets. You cannot prevent getting every infection by being vaccinated to death; vaccinations can kill you! I then told Jonathan that we were there for the patient to be treated for what she had, not for what she might get. Jonathan let the subject rest and the patient was set to come back and get the right hep C prescription in two weeks. I got a phone call from Jonathan the next day telling me that the patient was pregnant. I told him that we would fix it and did so the next day. Four days later the patient received a discharge letter from the clinic. Michael Dunn and his clinic had discriminated against the patient because she was pregnant. A bit of free advise: If you have any major heath problems, do not go to this clinic or see this doctor. The doctor is oddly nervous and will drop you like a hot potato if he thinks he will be held liable for any medical complication after you have wasted your time on him! Only a negligent and ruthless bastard would have done such a heartless thing to a pregnant woman. I do not trust this doctor at all.

He looks you directly in the eye when speaking and he personally contacted me to keep me informed about the status of my spouse. He admitted he took his time to ensure nothing was amiss. The care my husband received between him and the staff was optimal. I stayed in the lobby during surgery and they checked in often even providing blankets to accommodate me. There is a vending machine with Tap Pay in the lobby and 2 large single person bathrooms for guests. My husband's incision is one single line and healing nicely. I called Stat one as it had the best reviews in the area, I was told they could do the steroid shot and had their PA text me to arrange a time to meet at the office. Katie was great, we arranged to meet after both of us had finished lunch, she got my spouse in right away we discussed his symptoms and she gave him a steroid and anti inflammatory shot as well as sending in a steroid pack and muscle relaxers for him. This is better care than we get at our local urgent care in our town- we were highly impressed with the care here and recommend it to anyone who needs care while out of town we come down to Indian Rocks yearly as well as our entire family and if we ever needed care again we would totally be returning to this location! 1000/10!

The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about the people they're treating. My wife and kids have always felt comfortable here, and we've received good care whenever we've needed it. The wait can occasionally be a little long after checking in, and the layout sometimes has patients walking past an area where a provider is conducting telehealth visits, which feels a little unusual. My only personal preference would be to have more male providers available. As a man, I'm simply more comfortable having that option in certain medical settings. That aside, the staff has always treated us well, and this remains the urgent care location our family trusts.
