How has no one reviewed this yet? Honestly, I've only been to the power yoga there, none of the MMA classes. But the yoga classes are AMAZING! Every single teacher there is friendly and understanding, and explains not only how to do the poses, but modifications (to either up- or down- level), and the benefits of the poses and practice. It is a friendly, welcoming environment. I would recommend this to yoga newbies as well as advanced practitioners. read more

The classes and teachers are generally pretty good. My biggest complaint is the incredibly aggressive marketing. Every time I go, they start texting & emailing, a constant barrage of marketing emails. I understand they're trying to hustle, but it's not zen at all. I end up unsubscribing just to get away from the daily dings. I even feel guilty for recommending USMMA to friends because I know what they're getting into with the marketing. It's really tone deaf and speaks to this organization's lack of sensitivity to the more tender spots, which is weird for a yoga studio. Last time I was in a class, the owner snapped a picture of me while I was twisted in a pose with my eyes closed without asking. I assume it's for their marketing campaign. It was a real turnoff and in poor taste. I wish they'd find a happy medium because I'd go more often if they could. read more

Taylor was great with the kids in mommy and me yoga. She incorporated so many yogi practices that were age appropriate and fun for the kids!

I started going to USMMA when I was 14 years old. I had done other martial arts growing up but never found a studio that I felt like I was learning real practical skills. From the moment I walked through the front door at USMMA I knew I found the right place. For starters the facility is so clean and well kept. ALL the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely want to see you succeed!!! The community of USMMA members are extremely welcoming and take pride in helping you grow. One of my favorite parts about the studio is the range of classes they offer. Hot Yoga, Jiujitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, wrestling, womens self defense, and much more! 11 years later and I cannot imagine my life without USMMA, Tom and Danielle the incredible owners, and the community that is now my family! My 6 year old was trying out a jiu-jitsu class. He's had some behavioral and focus issues, but both Coach Hilarie and the other two coaches helping out were fantastic to him. They were fun, but also knew when to push him a little bit - very respectful, gave great cues, etc. Awesome experience for our first time! read more

If I could give this place a zero rating I would. My initial impression was great. I met Tom, who was very friendly and inviting. I signed up for a two week trial. Upon entering the gym for the first time I was met with condescension from someone who never even showed me the respect of introducing himself. I went to the front to alert staff to this treatment and was met with a very aggressive female who also didn't introduce herself. This female's tone and body language was so inappropriate I felt attacked, singled out and unwelcome. I was recently attacked physically and wanted to explore self defense. I am so off put by this experience. I don't recommend this gym for new members. read more

USMMA was a good yoga home when lived in area. Caring instructors, enjoyed the classes.

Ive always been happy with their facilities. As ive only done the flow 75's it's been year after year that I will always come back anytime I need some alignment in life. Their instructors always help with my journey. It's a wonderful atmosphere, always clean and close to home. I will recommend to anyone interested in yoga and as I said I always return. I would have a membership if my time and wallet could allow for it but for now my drop ins are perfect. Thank you for providing a wonderful space for me over the years. read more

Love practicing at USMMA when I'm visiting my family. I take yoga and the 20-minute intense workout. This was the first place I ever practiced yoga and I've since completed a teacher training. Feels really great to start my day with a sweaty class. The energy of the place is great too! read more

I just received an email from USMMA congratulating me on my 3rd year anniversary, wow that went by fast. I started at USMMA strictly on the hot yoga side. I loved every minute of every class. I've been athletic my entire life, played field hockey and ran track in HS and college, so for me a workout has to get my heart pounding and my body sweating. Hot yoga did both! I like the pace of the class, lots of push ups, squats, lunges, or should I say chair pose, warriers and planks. After 3-4 months of going two or three times a week I had lost weight, build long lean muscles and improved my posture. I recommend yoga to anyone at any age. It's such a great workout and you are in charge of how hard you push yourself each class. Last fall I began going to the Circuit Thai Boxing class once a week to add in some variety. I had no MMA experience and my idea of a punch was something with rum in it. Tom and his team of instructors are so good at teaching the fundamentals and technique of the sport. It's an incredible workout! I still learn new things each week. I definitely feel stronger. A few side notes... The yoga classes rarely fill up, but trust me they get very full. Be kind and if you see people walking in, move your mat over and make room, it's polite and you'd want others to do the same to you, hence Namaste. The boxing classes fill up at least a week in advance, they only have space for 25 people based on the # of stations they have each class. So register early or create a reoccuring registration for the day you want. read more

I mean, this place really is as good as it gets. Whatever you are looking for this place has it. I have rolled at other gyms and other MMA facilities around the country and this place is truly one of the elite. This is a place to change your life; Get in shape, diet/nutrition, yoga, meeting good people, great trainers too...Tom and Rolando have a great teaching touch. USMMA has it all. MMA tends to scare some people off, I have seen that at some places, but not here. Everyone is here to help you grow and develop. Physically, mentally, spiritually. If you want to fight you can, if you don't you don't have to. Its just an amazing way to feel better about yourself. And if that isn't enough to help you get far with the ladies, USMMA will put you in shape for when someone wants to steal your lady! read more

I recently joined USMMA and have been regularly attending the hot yoga classes. They are the only ones in the area offering hot yoga, but even if there were others, I would be content to stay here. The instructors offer a variety of styles and approaches to their classes. Some are more fitness oriented and offer an athletic approach, some more meditative and appeal to the spiritual/healing side of a yoga practice. I like both, and enjoy the variety within a week. The facilities are clean and well-kept, there is a decent amount of parking in the back, and the folks I've interacted with have been enjoyable. All in all, a good find in Bellingham! read more

The Vinyasa Yoga teachers and classes are phenomenal. I have been participating 6-8 months and feel truly blessed to practice yoga at this site. Courtney was my first interaction at the facility and her internal/external beauty, compassion, insight and expertise have touch me in some many ways. Review for Yoga Studios - I wished I knew about this place long time ago after trying out other yoga studios - this tops it all!!! Teachers are real friendly and very helpful when it comes to the poses and shows the alternative poses as well. Love the room - very calm and peaceful. Easy sign in and ready to go! As well as do sign-ups online. I started with 30 days $40 dollars - made my money worth it!!! I felt like I did more workout than anywhere else and lost few pounds so I definitely had found my match and would return! read more

I attend the hot yoga classes here. The instructors are so friendly and helpful. I am a newbie and still learning all the poses but the instructors make it easy to follow along through the class without me falling behind or getting confused. There are modifications available to many poses. The facility is clean and relaxing. I love coming here! read more
