As though the behavior of the clerk could not stoop any lower, he locked the doors from the outside at 3:30 (closing time-4). When others began to congregate outside the locked doors, he let us in yelling from his station "I am closing at 4 pm, no matter what. You stand in line at your own risk!!!" It was unprofessional, embarrassing, and not the behavior of a US government employee. This should be reported. Everyone inside was completely cringing but did not want to challenge him because they needed their mail sent out! What a joke. Then he had to unlock the inner doors to let customers out. It was 3:50. A few people were outside, one guy begging to buy a few stamps. Clerk was combative, adamant to not serve any more customers. Complete trashy behavior. read more

Worst customer service ever. Patilda was unnecessary rude and wouldn't listen to me when I said I needed to ship packages. Her attitude was so poor and I felt incredibly disrespected. When she was trying to send me away with the first package, all I said was "like I said, I have 2 packages to send out." Worse USPS ever! It's a week before Christmas and there's only 1 person working the front, while 20 people stand around the line. And the man works like a sloth. They also ran out of international stamps and holiday stamps. What kind of post office runs out of stamps?! I walk in and no other customers are there... I am simply dropping off packages and have to ask someone to unjam the dropoff. I approached the counter to two women on their phones when I ask for help. They don't even look up from their phones and the older one with Eminem's hair from the year 2000 mumbles something 10+ ft away from me - still have no idea what she said. I repeated what I had said and asked if the woman closest to me, on her phone at the counter, had heard what I'd said and she borderline yells "she said she take care of it!" At the rate she blurted I wasn't sure she even competed a sentence and asked her to repeat herself and then she definitely yelled it. That was the only time she took her eyes off her phone, which looked like the Guinness World Record Book woman that holds the record for eye-popping - she looked animated and ridiculous. Fully understanding her inability to effectively communicate with others, I said thank you and walked away. I've witnessed this type of behavior from both of these women now on multiple different occasions. I make it a point to not speak to them and literally the one time I have to, they're straight up turds. Beware this is the most ratchet USPS in downtown, staffed with a handful of degenerates that I'm sure most people just feel sorry for. If you've got a short temper I'd recommend you go to any other USPS around - these women are flat out dumbos. read more

Their business hours are constantly in flux. You never know if they will be open or closed early when you go to check your mail. They aren't open over the weekends. The parking situation is awful. There are periods of time that I go without any mail at all, which is unusual in my business. Then, suddenly, one day I will have a giant stack of mail, which had obviously been accumulating somewhere in the back office. My best advice would be to choose another location for your post office box. read more

The best dp thing about this business is their consistency. That is, their consistency to provide slow and poor service. After filling out what turned out to be the wrong form I was told to go fill the correct one out, no big deal, apparently I had messed up. But then the package from the friend I was sending stuff to arrived (we like to buy craft supplies in bulk and split everything in half) and turns out he had used the same form I had originally filled out and it has gone through just fine, for the same price and everything. The guy who worked here rocked. He was very helpful in helping me repackage my box, and patient when I threw a million questions his way. However, the woman who took his shift afterwards was impatient, rude, and curt with all the customers. I thought she would help more than 1 customer at a time like the man did, so when I asked her question, she shut me down with a "Yes, I'm in the middle of a transaction with this customer right now. So wait." Um okay? I don't need your attitude. A simple "Please hold on a second" would suffice. Anyways, they got the job done. Great customer service from the guy. Poor from the woman. Staff is not helpful or friendly. They rather play on the phones at their desks and come show how to do self service. They act like the customers owe them something. There's no clear instructions for self service and when I made a mistake, there's no refund. They blamed me for not doing it correctly while they never got out of their chair to show. read more

Pretty unprofessional is you ask me. They scanned my overnight express delivery package (cost $20) as delivered when it in fact it was STILL ON THE TRUCK. It was a very important package, a PASSPORT, and time was of the essence. You can imagine my panic when I saw the delivery confirmation but the passport wasn't there. After an hour of BS automated phone calls and holds, I finally got the real answer, which was that my package wasn't going to make it by the promised delivery time of noon, so the driver scanned it as delivered. So according to the records, they delivered on time. Very very unprofessional and just wrong. They said the package wouldn't be there until THREE, but after complaining I got them to get the package in by about 1:30. However, I believe I learned how to tell time properly by elementary school, and I do believe 1:30 PM is AFTER, and not before noon. Plus, lying to your customers isn't a great business practice either. Of course, the USPS isn't really a business as it is a government entity with NO incentive whatsoever to deliver to their customers. Thank you UPS, Amazon, etc. maybe one day your success will force the USPS to shape up. read more

My Apartment has always given USPS access to the mail room till late .. Ive seen mail delivered till 8pm with provided access keys.. USPS posted that they could not deliver my pacjage due to inability to access at 545pm , I paid extra to get the package kn a specific date and unfortunately because the mailman decided to delay he delivery with a reason that does not apply since they have access to the mail room, lead me to wasted extra mailing charges and not having the item I needed on time for a meeting!!! read more

Ok... my gripe with USPS is not really with this particular facility but the whole damn government run service itself. I had sent a package to be delivered ground for my niece in Virginia. Just some clothes I had bought for her birthday. It's not urgent nor was it anything breakable so I picked the regular 3 to 8 day delivery. First, after waiting in line for a good 30 minutes, they try desperately to up sell you in purchasing air delivery which is more than double the cost. Now, if this was time sensitive, I would say this is necessary but c'mon... this was a birthday gift of vintage clothing for a 13 year old. I wouldn't say it was urgent. Anyway.. as I've been tracking my package, it has now taken 6 days just to get from the downtown post office to their regional facility in LA that is also downtown. That's right... 6 days to get 2 Miles. It has now been over 8 days and still in transit. You wonder why USPS is going out of business. What I've learned from this is never trust anything government run. Lazy sons of bitches. read more

This USPS is inside the Paul Hastings building two levels down. Take the escalators two levels down. It is kind of hard to find if it is your first time, but many who work/live in the area seem to know how to get there easily. Obviously right. :D It was quick, everyone seems to know the gentleman working the counter. They sell cool stamps there too like Oscar de la Renta and the JFK collection. I would go back. The only reason why I'm hesitant on the 5 stars is because the nice gentleman working there seem bothered when I asked questions. It was lunch time though so I can't be to mad about that. I love this post office because they're in my office building but they have ONE attendant working and their hours are from 11am-4pm. There is usually a LOOONG line of people waiting to be serviced in this usps however there's only one gentleman working the station. Incredibly horrible service. I ordered my package on the 27th with First class, and it was shipped to this facility on the 1st, 3 days later. All was going moderatly smoothly until it was shipped to this faciloty. All updated and progress completely froze. China could do it in 3 days but a state away can't make progress in a week?? I Was on hold to speak with the PO representative for over 45 Mnts and after they answered they had to connect me to two other departments to track a package which was sent from la to Greece . All they could say was we don't know , we don't know. They have no records of the package ( that was sent on jan 15 )after it was handed over to customs on Jan 30 th. Have been coming here for a year and a half and have been happy with the service. If you want to avoid lines, use the machines by the entrance (!!) they're always empty. Make sure you drop off your first class mail in the first class bin and priority mail in the priority mail bin so your mail gets shipped promptly. I've only had to go in line when I ship things abroad otherwise everything can be done using the machine!! Just one thing, could you open on Saturday for a few hours please?? read more

If I can rate it 0 stars, I would. These guys stole my PS4! They scanned it, and soon after, there was no sign of the package anywhere. Terrible customer service, a handful of the staffs are absolutely useless. Not to mention the phone customer service by phone, it feels like you're talking to a wall. Nothing goes on for the first 20 minutes, you're talking to a robot. And lastly, the delivery service, I ordered something from amazon a couple days ago, the expected delivery date was today, I live in a regular home, house number is in the front in a big font, it's a simple one family house. The day comes and it states on the tracking information that the delivery attempt was unsuccessful due to the driver not being able to access the front door. Now I saw this and quickly ran outside to check if there's any streets blocked and/or if the gate was closed. Which neither of the scenarios was the case here, the driver was lazy, and couldn't simply drop a package off on the door. By the way I was home and heard no knock. Absolutely disappointed. read more
