There are no passenger elevators, so trekking up and down the stairs with luggage without being "climatized" to the altitude is a challenge. It should be noted the staff will assist you with your luggage if necessary. Regarding the location, it is fantastic. The views are incredible; it literally looks like a post card. Although not skiing season, there are lifts (not in operation due to summer) everywhere. I imagine it gets pretty packed and crazy during the winter. Hiking opportunities are everywhere right outside the lodge. We went on a "novice" hike that took us to the top of a mountain like eight miles away. OMG. As part of the wedding party and my officiant duties, there were multiple breakfast and dinners organized by Alta Lodge. The staff was fantastic, and the food was good. Alta Lodge also has a weekend brunch that attracts people from all over the area. The brunch was top notch! Regarding the accommodations, we had a fireplace, balcony, and a view of the mountains. It was a great sight. Our room did a have a bad smell (as did other rooms in our group) that I believe is the result of months/years of moisture in the carpet, drapes, and wood. This is the only thing I did not care for. Only other issue is the front desk is not occupied 24/7, and anyone can walk off the street and into the hotel. I would recommend better security. Overall, the customer service and quality of wedding organizer made up for the two issues noted above. Again, the service at Alta Lodge was excellent!

He's such an accomplished golfer but a super fun and patient instructor. This is my second lesson with Alex and I've seen lots of improvement already. The simulators coupled with the instruction help you to work on and visualize your swing. They have over 100 courses you can play on the simulators. Good rainy day activity too!

The races were loaded with weinie dogs everywhere! So many doggos! This was the third year of the races and I will say I don't know if Millcreek Commons is the best location to host them as it was a bit cramped and unorganized. The food trucks were hard to find in the back of the venue and there was completely chaos from the lack of line organization. It was still a fun event for sure, and you can tell everyone was enjoying themselves!

We saw The Jazz Room: A Journey to the Heart of New Orleans and it was a lot of fun. Many attendees dressed for the occasion, some just nicer looking clothes, but some all out in Jazz club attire, some pinstriped suits and 20s flapper dresses. Made it even more fun. The set was just the right amount of time at just over an hour. We sat on the balcony overlooking the stage and had great views. The bar had limited drinks and some snacks, they really could up their offerings here. Something a little different and fun.

I can picture a bunch of ladies with their dresses on and hair pinned up, getting together to celebrate the opening of their clubhouse. I wonder if they had a "no boys allowed" sign on the front door. Fast forward a few decades and the clubhouse still boasts the original beauty, but has a different purpose. Now it's a venue for all types of events including musical performances and other gatherings. It's a neat building and I appreciate how it's been preserved and made available to share with the public. Parking can be tricky, as is common in this part of town. But carpool with some friends and head out to the clubhouse for a fun evening!

She said she enjoyed it as much as the cinnamon roll I had. There's a standard size sign out on the street, which could be easily missed in the dark hours of the evening. The long driveway could mislead you as well. Although, there is substantial parking once you reach the facility building. Thank goodness we came during sunlight. A small, well-manicured patio is as elegant as the interior of the facility.
