Most of the fairways are wide open. Had to upgrade my rating to 3 stars because i had such a great tome. Course is visible from Ny Thruway (rt90) going West and is only 10 minutes from the exit. Nothing spectacular but enjoyable!!!

The driveway to the club splits holes #17 and #18 and is lined with tall, silver-maple trees offering a "Magnolia Lane" type feel to it. Twin Ponds itself is very scenic and well kept, and notably contains two bodies of water from which the name is derived. The wooded surroundings are consistent and broken up only by occasional homes on the perimeter of course. The fairways are relatively straight and moderate in distance for par. Greens play true, albeit sometimes fast in the heat of the summer. Overall, a great course for novice and skilled players alike. My experiences have always been positive when having a golf outing or special event - for which they also exceed expectations. The gardens are beautiful and provide an ample location for photo taking. The large ballroom contains a circular bar and panoramic windows offering great views. It's a great atmosphere inside the facility as the open layout makes it easy for guests to mingle. The food never disappoints, although I can't say I've had a great deal of variety from recent memory. Overall, a great place to spend a day golfing or to forge a lasting memory with family and friends. I consider this club a 'hidden gem' within the greater city of Utica and would highly recommend it.

My street taco is with beef. The tortillas are toasted, which is a nice touch, the sauce, the salsa and the guacamole are nice and pairing very well with the taco. HOWEVER! The beef is quite SALTY. I could finish most of it by adding the salsa and the Guac but man, it was just too salty. Sir Flower's burger is massive. Two patties stacked with their special French fries, though tried with Guy's smashing technique, it was still too big to handle with "dignity", lol. First time golfing here and I wasn't impressed. They're in the middle of a huge construction…read morerenovation/addition, but that makes things very inconvenient. First up - they don't take tee time reservations, which strikes me as very odd. Second, there is a porta-John and bathroom trailer on site, but no conventional "indoor" plumbing. Third, I had a good friend visiting from Virginia and he wanted a hat since he had forgotten his and they would only take cash for merchandise, despite the fact that they have a credit card machine; in fact - that's how he paid for the golf...curious... The course was in ok shape, but nothing spectacular. I wasn't super happy with it and I couldn't see coming back again, but perhaps we hit them on a bad day.
